1 Prologue

It was a dreary day, people in black outfits mourning the loss of a father? brother? husband? no!!, the loss of a national hero. But this does not concern us, the man is dead, let him stay dead. While he was a hero to his country's men and women, he was a monster to others. The most blood-thirsty commander of his time, directly responsible for the death of millions around the world all in the name of protecting his country in the war-torn era he found himself in.

........

A pitch-black orb was currently floating, lost in the void having no direction whatsoever. A black hole suddenly opened right next to the orb, pulling it in.

"My lord, this soul was rejected by both heaven and hell," A black-skinned being with two horns resting on its temple said.

"Wake it up," came a guttural response.

The black-skinned being nodded before placing his elongated nail on the orb. The orb cracked revealing an even darker interior before morphing into a middle-aged man with three long scars marring his face.

'Huh? where am I? I thought I had died, those Americans had finally assassinated me, did I somehow survive?' The man thought, looking around his surrounding but reeling back in shock when he saw the black being with horns.

"Am I seeing things?" he said rubbing his eyes as he looked at the horned being with skin so dark it was as if the light around was being sucked into it. "Who are you?" he asked, trying to regain himself.

"I am known as Inanis, son of the void," the horned being replied with pride.

"Uhm!! I am General Bellum Scissa, The head commander of the Tenebris Empire's military, ruler of the continent of Africa," came the reply with a military salute to boot. "Can you tell me where we currently are, and if possible, can you help me return back to my country? I'd do well to reward you," he said, completely ignoring the horns Inanis had. 'I need to promise him whatever he wants, as long as I can return to the empire. We can then capture him and force him to reveal the location of his home planet, the ambitions of the emperor would increase even more. Conquering just earth is not enough for the mighty emperor, the emperor deserves to rule the entire galaxy. Long Live the Emperor!!!!'

Clearly this man was a fanatic, as only the ambitions of his emperor occupied his thought.

Inanis chuckled before replying, " You're dead, and your should was rejected by heaven and hell so as per the agreement, it was thrown to the void. Normally your soul would be food for most of the mindless monsters in the void but my Lord and his peers are magnanimous so we offer rejects like you a chance to be reborn, but with a price of course."

Bellum was about to speak but Inanis shut him up, "Every mortal being has something called soul energy, they are directly derived from your memories and experience, the older you get the more soul energy you'd possess. So you have just two options, in exchange for your soul energy, you can be reborn with various abilities or I can just throw you back into the void."

"So I'm dead huh? I want to be reborn on my world right before I died," Bellum replied immediately, already happy at being able to return back to his emperor's side.

"Sadly you can't, no soul is allowed to return back to their world unless the world itself allows rebirth and your world doesn't," Inanis replied.

"So I can be reborn on any world that isn't my own, ok then, I want to be reborn in an alternate world that has the same history as mine, and I want to replace my alternate self that just died on that world," Bellum replied with a smirk, thinking he had found a loophole. 'I'm coming back emperor, your loyal servant is coming back to your side, for the glory of Tenebris!!!'

"Doesn't work that way, every Void Lord has various worlds allocated to them, so you can only be reborn in one of those, and the only world available is the Elemental Nations, so that's your only option, now all that's left is to spin the wheel of abilities," Inanis said, not letting the crazy fanatic interject. Although he understood, he himself is a crazy fanatic of his void Lord.

"If I can't return back to my world, can I use my soul energy to get abilities for my Emperor?" Bellum asked the moment Inanis was done.

"Magic is not allowed on your old world," came the reply from Inanis.

"Ok then can I...."

Inanis shut Bellum up already knowing what he was going to ask, he sighed at Bellum, his fanaticism was rooted in his soul. If it wasn't for his emperor and empire, it would have been to something else. Sadly when he uses his soul energy and loses his memories alongside it he won't lose this extreme loyalty and fanaticism. It won't be as bad but it would still be there, hopefully, it is directed unto a good being and not someone wanting to control or destroy the world.

A circus-like wheel appeared with the word clan right at the top of it, the wheel was partitioned into various clans, and the more powerful ones occupied a smaller area.

"Go on and spin it," Inanis said. "You have 70 percent of your should energy left, the first spin takes 30 percent of your should energy and any subsequent spin takes 5 percent."

Bellum tried speaking but it was like his vocal cords were gone, his mouth moved but no sound came out, after a few minutes of trying to speak, he gave up and went to the wheel. He placed his hands on the handle and spun it.

*Ratatata*

The agonising sound of the wheel resounded with Bellum praying it wasn't something useless. Bellum knew what the Elemental Nations world was, it was the world of Boruto, it ranges from before Boruto's dad was born to when the Otsutsuki destroyed the world by harvesting a chakra fruit from it, the anime and manga of Boruto was his favourite as a kid, he read and watched everything and even watched the anime of Boruto's dad to get why people were outraged when Sarada killed Sasuke for the Mangekyo sharingan and then took his to eyes gain the eternal mangekyo sharingan and then the rinnegan when Orochimaru gave her Sasuke's and Boruto's dad cells. He was worried, If he gets born into a weak clan, he'd die like a canon fodder. Although it didn't finish because his empire invaded other continents starting world war 3, no one was going to be reading a manga when every empire in the world was at war.

*Ra...tata...ta...*

The wheel finally stopped, but what it stopped at made Bellum frown and Inanis chuckle. [CIVILIAN] was the bold words written where the wheel stopped at, "How is that possible," Bellum protested, finally able to speak. "What the heck is this? civilian?" he asked, rather irately.

"Inanis chuckled before replying, "They're civilian families in the elemental nation, so of course you can be born into such a family."

"I'd spin again," he said, spinning the wheel one more time.

[CIVILIAN CLAN]

[HAGOROMO CLAN]

'God no, they got fucking wiped out, but this might work if I can get other abilities,' he thought before asking Inanis a question. "If I select the Hagoromo clan, would I be able to choose when I'd be born?"

"No, it would be somewhere from when the clan was formed to before the was destroyed. What timeline you'd be born into would be random for every clan, but it would be in line with when the clan was formed throughout their existence, of course, we can tweak some things. Say, if you were to be born into the Hagoromo clan when they were about to be destroyed, you'd survive that event, but only that event. Whatever happens to you after would be up to your fate," Inanis replied.

"Ok so if I'm born in, let say the Uchiha clan right before the massacre, Itachi and Obito won't kill me but it won't be the same for Danzo, or Hiruzen since the massacre itself is over?" Bellum asked, trying to confirm. He'd be stupid to just rush ahead.

"Exactly!!" Inanis replied.

'So I'm safe from only the influence of direct events, Itachi and Obito are directly the cause of the Uchiha massacre which means I'm safe from them, I don't know who wiped out the Hagoromo clan so I can't risk it.'

*Spin!!*

[Amagiri CLAN]

'I don't even know what clan this is, although my memory of the clans in Naruto world is fuzzy, this might be a powerful clan, I'd go with this," Bellum thought, turning towards Inanis who was no longer chuckling.

'Spin, I don't trust his expression.'

[HIRASAKA CLAN]

[OTSUTSUKI CLAN]

"Did you see that? I'm going with this."

Inanis chuckled at how quickly Bellum chose the Otsutsuki clan, with a swipe of his hand another wheel appeared replacing the old one. "Now you're going to choose which Otsutsuki bloodline you'd receive."

"Why do I have to choose, I being born into the Otsutsuki clan, I'm going to have my own unique bloodline of course," Bellum retorted, already getting pissed off at the blatant scam Inanis was trying to pull.

"I think you're missing something," came the reply from Inanis, waiting for Bellum to think about it. "You're an ex-general, you should be able to figure the exact words I used."

"Of course not, I'd be born as an Otsutsuki in the Elemental Nations. Fuck!!!! 'The Elemental Nations, so just the planet not the entire universe with the Otsutsuki clan."

The wheel had seven tiles this time with a horn depiction on it, each tile representing an Otsutsuki's that had gone to the planet. Bellum looked at the wheel but couldn't recognise two of the tiles as they were heavily damaged making them unreadable.

"Every spin takes 5 percent of your remaining soul energy, and you have just 15 percent left," Inanis informed him.

Bellum just nodded and then spun the wheel.

*Ra...tata...ta...*

[UNKNOWN OTSUTSUKI]

Bellum sighed as It stopped at one of the damaged tiles, he didn't bother questioning it, he just spun the wheel again as he knew those damaged tiles represented the two damaged engravings on the wall in Isshiki's dimension.

*Ra...tata...ta...*

[OTSUTSUKI ISSHIKI]

"I choose this."

Inanis nodded, "You have just 5 percent soul energy left, it won't be enough to give you an ability but you can still get a weapon and the mastery of it."

Bellum nodded as a new wheel appeared, with numerous weapons on it, it was highly disappointing as they were no guns on it just cold weapons. He spun the wheel again, waiting for it to stop.

[GUNBAI]

A black and red Gunbai greatly resembling the one used by Madara appeared in front of him. The gunbai was red and black with red replacing the inner white colour, the tomoe were gone and in its place were black stars dotting the inner red part.

"Would you like to change anything?" Inanis asked.

"Yes," Bellum replied. "Can you make the edges metallic, but it would only be so when I put my chakra into it? It should be as sharp as a sword, and of course indestructible just like the gunbai itself."

"Done," Inanis said. "I'd be extracting the soul energy now, and as per our agreement you'd be losing the memories of your past life alongside our entire conversation."

"So how would I know how to use my abilities and the gunbai?" Bellum asked

"Do not worry about that," Inanis replied.

"Off you go now," he said as the body of Bellum turned transparent before disappearing leaving behind a black orb. Inanis turned before bowing towards the being that had been seating there without the knowledge of Bellum. "It is done my Lord, here is the soul energy," Inanis said, offering the orb to the being.

"Keep it."

"Thank you, my Lord!!!" Inanis reverently replied before swallowing the entire orb.
