The next morning there was a serene calmness to the air, with the gentle breeze carrying the soft chirping of birds. As the light of the rising sun gradually illuminates the horizon, painting the sky with hues of orange and pink, two energetic kids ran past, disrupting the tranquil ambiance with their joyful screams. The serene morning air was filled with the sound of their footsteps and the rustling of leaves under their feet, bringing a sense of lively energy to the previously quiet streets.

"Bob, you are going to lose again", said Satoru.

"At least don't call me by that name in front of everyone in the academy" replied Bob.

"Ha! If you can beat me to the academy, I'll stop calling you that. Otherwise, you'll just have to deal with it," said Saruto with a mischievous grin.

"But the academy is just around the corner and you're so far ahead! This isn't fair. Why are you starting the race now?" complained Bob.

Finally, the two young aspiring ninjas arrived at the gate of the Ninja Academy. Satoru won the bet again.

"Satoru, you always have some kind of advantage," complained Bob.

"Life isn't fair, Bob," Satoru retorted with a smug grin. "Besides, it's not like you've ever beaten me in a race before."

Bob crossed his arms, scowling. "Fine, I'll take your stupid nickname. But just you wait, I'll beat you one day."

The Ninja Academy is located at the base of Hokage mountain. It is where prospective ninjas are trained and where official ninja receives their assignments. The walls are adorned with various motivational posters and banners displaying the village's emblem. The academy has 2 divisions one for academics and for administration. Along with being a school, it is also the area where the Hokage's office is located, which is where missions are dispatched and the day-to-day running of the village takes place.

Finally, the two young shinobi entered the academy and made their way to their classroom.

"It's empty," said Satoru.

"No, we're just early," replied Bob.

As the two settled into their seats at the back of the middle row, a few minutes ticked by before their classmates began to arrive. The first one to walk in was a kid with grey hair and a mask covering half of his face. It was Hatake Kakashi. Bob leaned over and whispered, "That's the guy I told you about, Kakashi." Satoru already knew who he was, and they both watched as Kakashi seemed to sense their gazes on him.

The classroom gradually filled up as more students arrived, and Saturo couldn't help but feel a sense of anticipation and nervousness. He knew that this year's competition was going to be tough. Among the 29 students in the class, 9 of them caught his attention. They were Mitarashi Anko, Kurenai Yuhi, Asuma Sarutobi, Raido Namiashi, Might Guy, Genma Shiranui, Ebisu, and Rin Nohara. He has seen these people in the original plot.

The classroom fell silent as the gate slid open and two figures made their way in. The first was a chubby man with a Konoha proctor on his head - the academy instructor, Ikkaku Umino. The second was cloaked in white with a red hat bearing the symbol of fire, smoking his pipe as he walked. It was none other than the Third Hokage himself.

The Hokage gazed at the young shinobi in front of him, his piercing eyes scanning the room. He then took his pipe out of his mouth and began to speak. The students immediately straightened up, eager to hear what the Hokage had to say.

"Greetings, young Shinobi of the Hidden Leaf Village. Today, we gather to celebrate your progress and to remind ourselves of the challenges ahead. Each of you has chosen the path of a ninja, a path that demands hard work, discipline, and sacrifice.

As you begin your journey as a ninja, remember the values of our village: courage, loyalty, and compassion. But remember, too, that the life of a ninja is not just about mastering jutsu and wielding weapons. It is about serving our village and protecting our people. So I urge you to study hard, train hard, and work together. Respect your teachers, your elders, and your fellow Shinobi. And always remember that your actions reflect not only on yourselves but also on our village and our legacy.

Remember this,

When the tree leaves dance,

One shall find flames.

The fire's shadow will illuminate the village,

And once again, tree leaves shall bud anew."

As the Hokage concluded his speech with the words, "May the will of Fi--," a loud thud interrupted him.

The classroom door had slid open so fast that it banged against the wall. "Gah... I hope I'm not late," panted a boy as he entered. The boy had spiky black hair and wore a blue uniform with an orange collar and the Uchiha crest on the back.

He was Uchiha Obito.

"What timing," murmured Satoru, feeling bored with the Hokage's speech.
