6 Chapter 6. Recovery and aftermath

Sora woke up a few days later. He felt heavy, but the pain in his side was gone. He looked to his side and found Minato and Kushina both sleeping in his bed. They were currently using him as a pillow while Naruto slept on his chest.

'How long have I been out system?'

*Host has been unconscious for approximately four days.*

'Thats not too bad.'

As he was talking to the system he noticed that Kushina was waking up. 'Oh shit. I'm gonna get chewed out for sure.' Kushina sat up while rubbing her eyes until she noticed him starring at her, but the yelling didn't come. Instead she started sobbing while hugging Sora tightly.

All the commotion must have woken Minato as he joined the hug to. He seemed really relieved and Sora could see the bags under each ones eyes. After sobbing for a while Kushina actually did start yelling a little, but settled down when a nurse yelled at all of them.

Minato told Sora what had happened in the village while he was asleep. The third Hokage had taken over and notified the village of the Fourth Hokages difficult time in sealing the nine tails. The village was taking a week to gather the dead and mourn before the rebuilding would begin.

The fourth also explained to the village that Minato had damaged his Chakra and could no longer continue being a shinobie. It seems that Danzo has already started spreading that Naruto is the Jinchuriki for the hidden leaf.

"I'm worried about the village hating Naruto like you said happened in the future Sora." Kushina was holding Naruto as he spoke gibberish to her and played with her hair.

"Theres not much we can do about that mom. We'll be there for him and make sure none of the villagers do something stupid, but we can't control their opinions. They'll change their minds when they get to know him."

Minato smiled at this and held out his hands to his family. "Lets go home."

5 years later

Sora was looking through his status early in the morning as it was the only time he was allowed some peace in their house. 'System show me my stats.'

'My system points have gotten insane. Its good Lord Third allowed me to keep doing missions during the rebuilding of konoha, or I really would have lost some of my life span.'

As Sora was deep in thought he heard a loud crash as his door was thrown open. "SORA!!! WAKE UP WAKE UP WAKE UP!!!" Naruto started jumping on Soras bed while he stared into space.

"Alright Naruto I'm up, I'm up. Sora got out of be and headed to the kitchen where he could smell food cooking. Kushina was standing at the stove while she fried some eggs.

"Awwwe... No Ramen mom?"

Sora smiled as Kushinas face darkened. Naruto had tried Ramen on a family outing one day and fell in love. Afterwards he would ask for it at every opportunity. They didn't even have birthday cakes anymore as Sora had suggested that they should just get Ramen for him instead.

Kushina was annoyed with it though because Naruto had been asking for Ramen for the last 3 months. He wanted it for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. "No Ramen for you for two weeks. I warned you yesterday naruto."

"Noooooo!!!! Big brother save me!!!"

Sora had a sorrowful expression as he turned to Naruto and placed a hand on his shoulder. "I apologize little brother, but this is one enemy I can not face."

Kushina ignored their little drama show while she finished breakfast. "Here's your breakfast boys. Eat up."

As they ate Kushina went to their parents bedroom to try to wake Minato. Hed started taking on missions from the Third Hokage while acting like an anbu nin. Minato had gotten back late and by the yelling from the other room Kushina was having a hard time waking him up this morning.

"So Naruto. Are we going to play again today, or do you want to train with me today?"

"I'm gonna go play in the park again. My friends Shikamaru and Choji are supposed to come again."

"Oh. I'd like to meet these new friends of yours if that's okay Naruto."

Naruto started jumping up and down in excitement when Sora said he'd come to the park to meet his friends.
