10 Chapter 10. Itatchi Uchiha

It had been 2 weeks since the kids had started their learning at the academy. Iruka sensei and the other teachers were mostly giving history lessons about the village and surrounding areas. The class had a physical exam at the end of every month that they would have to attend.

Naruto and Sasuke still seemed to be competing to see who could reach the top the fastest. The two boys had become fast friends over these last few years and had a rivalry developing very quickly.

Class had just been dismissed and as Sora grabbed his things to leave he was stopped by the two boys. Naruto had a huge grin on his face as he started talking. "Hey Sora. Sasukes going to show me some of the cool shuriken techniques his brother showed him. Wanna come?"

Sora nodded and followed the two out of the school and into the village. Naruto kept glancing at Sora as they walked through the village though. Sora mentally sighed as Naruto had become started asking a lot of weird questions lately.

"Hey Sora?"

"Yeah Naruto?"

"Do you like Ino?" Sora almost tripped in surprise at this question. He quickly turned to Naruto to find his face had grown a shit eating grin. "Hehe."

"I don't know what your talking about." Sora had to do his best from hiding a blush that had appeared on his face.

Naruto started laughing while holding his stomach. "Wow... Ino was right. That was a nice face you made."

Sora froze with surprise. 'Wait? Ino told him to ask that?'

"Why haven't you asked her out if you like her big brother?"

"Because she said something I didn't agree with. She also never apologized for it even though she upset me."

"She didn't call you a demon like the villagers have has she?" Naruto seemed worried at this thought.

"No. Besides, the villagers have a reason to call me that."

"Why would they call you that?" Sasuke seemed curious at that comment.

Sora smirked victorious as Sasuke had just fallen into his trap. "Oh, you haven't heard Sasuke? I suppose that makes sense as you don't have a sister, but you should have still been warned for your mothers sake."

Sasuke looked worried for a moment before he resolved himself. "What are you talking about?"

"You see Sasuke. The villagers have started calling me demon because its been decided that when I reach adult hood I will be too handsome. The villagers are even telling each other to lock up their wives and daughters to keep them from my gaze."

Sasuke had a look of pity on his face as he looked at Sora while Narutos eyes shined with pride. They continued walking to the Uchiha compound when Naruto said something else that made Sora stop.

"Come to think of it. Ino apologized to me a little after we met. She said she was sorry, but wouldn't tell me what it was about."

Sora spent the rest of the walk in contemplation. 'She actually apologized? I wish I had known.'

About five hours later the boys went to Sasukes house to get a late lunch. Sasukes mother was very hospitable but at the same time stern. The boys were made to wash up while Sora offered to help set the table. After washing up Sasuke came back to the room with Naruto and a teenager Itachi.

Lunch was very enjoyable. Sasuke and Naruto kept arguing about who would be the better shinobi. Naruto kept poking trouble at Soras girl problems until Sora gave him a light tap to the head resulting in a knot the size of a fist to bloom.

After lunch Naruto and Sasuke started to leave for the forest. Naruto stopped after seeing that Sora wasn't following. "Are you coming big brother?"

Sora shook his head lightly. "I need to speak with Itatchi kun for a little bit. I'll catch up."

Naruto nodded and ran to catch up to Sasuke. Itatchi started out of a different door before speaking without looking back. "Follow me."

Sora followed Itatchi to a remote location in the woods before he stopped next to a river. He turned and Sora could see that he had already activated his sharingan. "So I'm assuming you know of me?"

"I'm the one who saved Naruto from the river. I also took the perpetrator to the hospital like you asked."

"I see... So do you know why I'm here Itachi?"

"I assume you want to see how you match up against me." Itatchi pulled a kunai from the pouch at his back.

"Wrong answer. I came to convince you not to murder your clan." As soon as Sora had finished his sentence Itatchi appeared in front of him and stabbed his chest with his kunai.

Sora smiled. "Sorry Itatchi, but I'm afraid that won't work on me."

Itatchi took a step back and watched the wound on Soras chest close up with great speed. Itatchi was confused until he started looking around the clearing. The water in the river had stopped, there were leaves that weren't falling to the ground as they should, and a bird stuck in mid flight.

'A dojutsu? How did he trap me so easily?'

"Dont worry. This is just so we can talk privately without being monitored."

Itatchi still seemed skeptical, but didn't make any noticeable moves to attack.

"You already know who I am Itatchi, but I'm afraid that you don't know what I am capable of. For example I know you have been ordered to destroy the Uchiha clan. I know what the Uchihas are planning as well. I even know that Danzo is the one who put you up to this with the promise of your brothers safety."

Itatchi was trying to keep an impassive expression, but was having a harder time doing so as Sora spoke. "I'm also willing to help you save your clan."

Sora could see Itatchis eyes visibly brighten even though his face showed no emotions. "How?"

"Well Itatchi, another thing you might not know about me is that I have a kekkai genkai that is time related. Its also affected my eyes so that I have a dojutsu thats time related. I've recently been testing my affinity with space as well and have actually made a Jutsu that would be perfect to save your clan while keeping with Danzos schemes."

Itatchi seemed suspicious as to whether Sora was as capable as he seemed. "On the day of the massacre you will come get me. I will use my Jutsu to transfer your people into a sub dimension where time is slowed down. They will experience a week as a year passes. I have another Jutsu that we can use to fake the bodies. You can kill the people who are trying to rebel while we save the innocents."

Itatchi seemed conflicted between following orders and protecting his clan. "The best part is Sasuke will grow stronger in his hate for you like Danzo wants, but when he's strong enough we can show him the truth. He should be able to understand your position then."

Itatchi seemed to be on the fence over the matter so Sora ended his Dojutsu and left the Uchiha residence. Itatchi made no moves to stop him or follow.
