7 Chapter 7- Trip to the Land of Waves

(The day after)

As Menma was walking towards the training grounds thinking about his teammates he had heard of Hinoko a year prior as she had developed her signature technique: the Chakra Needle.

Going over through his memories in the past think who Yakumo was, then he remembered.

'Wasn't not able to become a ninja in the series due to her weak body'

'Oh how I wish I had an Eidetic memory'

Menma thought as he continues walking.

-Training Grounds-

When Menma arrived at the agreed-upon location he could see his Sensei and two teammates waiting for him.

"Your late!" said Hinoko

"No, you're just to early" Menma reply with a smile on his face

"Alright since everyone is here let us begin," Yamato said to them

Yamato discusses what they were so supposed to do today. He wanted to test their capabilities and their teamwork even do they just met. So he set a timer up until lunch to try and beat him.

"Begin!" Yamato shouted

"Kage Bunshin no Jutsu!" then Menma sent his clone to his teammate informing them what their sensei was capable of.

As Menma began to throw his kunai and shurikens at Yamato

'Fūton: Reppūshō' had increased the speed of his kunai and shurikens.

'Doton: Doryūheki' Blocking Menma's attack, seeing this he knew his sensei was going easy on them.

"Raiton: Raijū Tsuiga" Menma shouted as lightning form on his hands as it charges through the wall of earth

"Mokuton: Mokujōheki" Yamato shouted as wood emerges from the ground forming a dome around him.

Menma then uses Body Flicker Technique to go to his teammates, having already asked his teammate was their strengths and weakness were via the clone he sent earlier. Yakumo is a genjutsu specialist and has a weak physique, while Hinoko is skilled in kenjutsu and is capable of firing chakra needles from her fingertips, which have a variety of effects including paralyzing, killing, or even energizing the target.

Devising a plan, Menma suggested that Hinoko distract Yamato as he brings in Yakumo close enough so that she could cast a genjutsu on Yamato.

"Chakra no Hari" Hinoko shouted as chakra needles emerge from the forest

"Doton: Doryūheki" As Yamato blocking all the needles coming towards him as Menma's clones appear before him. Seeing Menma appeared Yamato couldn't identify which was the real Menma

"Mokuton: Daijurin no Jutsu" Yamato's arm changes into big trees aiming for the two clones, As he could see it pass through them, realizing that they weren't clones they were afterimages of Menma.

Menma carried Yakumo on his back, as Yakumo cast Genjutsu Shibari, and due to her Kekkei Genkai. Yamato truly thought that he was rapped in chains.

Seeing their teamwork Yamato passed them, Menma then suggested that they eat at Ramen Ichiraku which they agreed. As they ate Yamato informs them that they will start taking mission tomorrow morning to improve their teamwork.

After that, they all went on their own ways, Menma when back to the training ground to see how his brother was doing. As he arrived he saw Naruto all tied up, Menma smiled and went to help his brother.

As the twin walked as they talk about their day, having heard what had happened to Naruto Menma laughed.

(The next day)

It seems that the first mission team Yamato was assigned to find the legendary cat named Tora. Hinoko and Yumuko were not happy at all, as they have encountered the cat before.

During the mission having separate encounters with the cat, Hinoko and Yumuko were covered in scratches. As they were closing into Menma's location, they were shocked, to say the least, that the cat was not attacking Menma as it usually does to his captors.

(A few weeks has passed)

After a couple of weeks had passed as team Yamato was assigned to babysitting, clearing the fields of a farm, etc. As they were sick and tired of doing D-rank missions.

As they went to report to the Hokage about their latest mission. As they enter the office they could see Naruto yelling at someone.

Menma facepalm seeing his brother's behavior, as they enter the office. Menma saw that Naruto being held back by Kakashi, as he could see the super expert bridge builder Tanuza drinking.

To assure Tazuna the Hokage assign team Yamato to accompany team 7 during this mission.

-Village Entrance-

"Let's go!" said Naruto excitingly

"What are you so excited about?" Sakura asked

"I and Naruto have never left the village before" Menma answered

"Am I going to be safe with this brat?" ask Tazuna as he points to Naruto

"Hehe well, I and Yamato are Jonin, don't worry," said Kakashi

"Hey, old man! Don't mess with ninjas!" "I'm incredible" "My is Uzumaki Naruto, one day I will become Hokage! Dattebayo!"

"Hokage? I doubt someone like will become Hokage"

"Shut up! I will! Once I become Hokage you will acknowledge me!!!"

"No I won't, you brat. Even if you become Hokage"

"I KILL YOU!!!!!" Naruto screamed

But before Kakashi was able to stop Naruto, Naruto was hit in his head by his brother.

"Naruto! Stop it!" Menma reprimanded Naruto

"Sorry about him" Menma apologize to Tanuza

As the rest wondered if Naruto and Menma were truly brother as their personalities were so different.

As they continued walking Yamato order Menma to stay with team 7 as he, Hinoko, and Yumuko would scout ahead.

Sakura then asked about the land of waves as Kakashi then gave a lecture about the five great shinobi countries.

"You guys just doubted the Hokage-sama didn't you," Kakashi asked his genins as they flinched.

"So we won't encounter any foreign ninjas?" Sakura asked again

"Of course not!!! hahaha" "But don't worry, we won't encounter any combat ninjas in C-rank missions" as Kakashi said that Sasuke notice Tanuza flinch and started to sweat.

As they continue walking, Two figures slowly emerge from the paddle of water.

They were Kirigakure ninjas the demon brothers.

"One Down" As they suddenly attack Kakashi wrapped in chains then proceeded to him ripped to shreds, then appeared behind Naruto.

"Two Down" as they appeared behind Naruto.
