9 Side Arc 1: I-ISLAND the Paradise of Gadgets.
[Airport Kaito POV]
It's been a few weeks after the talent show, to recap what happened during that time mas mostly the show making us sign papers to avoid any legal actions for the condition of the stage and endangering my life.
Of course, mom and I decided to go all out with the conditions to let it pass and it concluded on us getting 10 days in I-ISLAND all costs paid and in the best hotel of the island.
Honestly, I was impressed at how much money they had, I mean with such a crappy show I would've guessed that the money they had was also low, never judge a book by their cover, I guess.
(Kaito didn't know then but, soon he would be famous for that performance of his.)
With little to no time for my birthday I gave Midoriya, Bakugo and the 2 extras an invitation.
And now its my birthday and I'm becoming 5 years old. I only have 10 years before canon so I'll have to step it up a notch.
There wasn't anything remarkable during the party other than Midoriya crying when he knew I would be away for 10 days but he overcame it by the time of the cake.
[Third person POV]
The plane left and Kaito and Kaia were about to go on the trip that'll change their lives.
Once they arrived, the first thing they did was to check in at the hotel with the ticket and unpack, that day they just relaxed at the hotel because they had a horrible jet-lag.
The second day they went to a fair, there were mostly gadgets on display and games to play, Kaito saw a destroy the target competition and went to participate, he took a metal rod that was lying there and took he's position.
*Bang*
Was the sing and Kaito put into practice all of he's imaginary training with weapons, it was a solid start until higher targets appeared, Kaito smashed the rod to the ground and took some pebbles, afterwards threw them up and bated one after another.
It took him 4 minutes with 43 seconds but he finished, with that time he was on the top 5 of the lists, the first place managed to do it in a minute and the second only spend 10 seconds more.
Of course, Kaito was not pleased with his performance so he tried several times but only managed to reach 3rd place with a minute and 12. This made Kaito realize how much he needed to train in order to compete with the future monsters: Stain, Overhaul, Re-Destro, ALL FOR ONE.
After taking a break and eating ice-cream Kaito was left in a guarded playground, the reason being because Kaia said she had to meet a friend of hers and couldn't take Kaito because the meeting place was a bar.
Kaito didn't bothered to pay attention to that and decided to escape the child's area without anyone noticing. While in the streets he saw many eye-catching gadgets, until suddenly he saw a curious store named "MY BABIES" Kaito was confused and decided to check it to see what type of store it was.
When he entered an eccentric pink-haired man and red-haired woman greeted me.
"HELLO DEAR COSTUMER, WELCOME TO MY BABIES" they said in unison.
"I AM HATSUME TORIKO" the man.
"AND I AM HASTSUME MAYA" the woman.
At that moment Kaito was sure he was about to get kidnapped until he remembered the last name "Hatsume" which Kaito assumed was from Hatsume Mei's family.
Which was immediately shown to be correct the moment he saw a little girl about he's age rushing at her parents while yelling about a new "baby".
After a few minutes of talking about "babies" Kaito coughed to gain their attention.
[Kaito POV]
"*cough…cough* excuse me" I said a little annoyed.
"Ah? Oh yes, we forgot about you little client what brings you to our store" said Maya wile smiling at me.
"I'm here to give these blueprints of what you call "babies" to see if they are possible to make" I said taking a notebook out of my pants.
"Oh, is this young client actually an errand boy?" asked Toriko taking the notebook.
"No sir this are things I came up with, but I don't know if they are possible to make" I said as honestly as I could.
"Very well young client it would appear that we are striking business after looking at your sketches. They are well organized and have enough information to make prototypes, but why would you wear this when you have a quirk?" said Toriko.
"Well good sir that is because I am quirkless" I said proudly.
"Amazing a quirkless lad actually has such insight, and I presume you want to be a hero?" Toriko asked.
"YES" I yelled out of excitement of meeting someone who didn't looked at me weirdly for not having a quirk.
"Well young lad you came at the right place, in here not a single baby is made deficient" said Toriko with a smile and excited for my blueprints.
"Mei come here and greet the guest while your mother and I check these blueprints" Toriko said to the girl and she nodded and rushed to me.
"Hello I'm Hatsume Mei I want to become the greatest baby maker in the world" said Mei excited.
"I am Kaito and I aim to become one of the Top 10 heroes in the future despite being quirkless, also you should say gadget maker instead of baby maker unless you want to cause a misunderstanding" I presented myself and corrected her.
"Misunderstanding how?" Mei asked confused.
"Forget it I said nothing" I replied since I didn't want a migraine in this moment.
We spend the afternoon talking about gadgets and how they work, it was fascinating to say the least but, in the end, I had to leave before mom arrived at the playground and notices that I'm not there (it is a guarded playground BTW, just not good enough 4 the MC, also there were snacks for the kids).
Before leaving the Hatsume's gave me their numbers and told me to call them when I wanted to see the prototypes, apparently, they have a store near UA and this one is just a family store they use during free time to make money during holydays and festivals and stuff.
When I got back mom hadn't arrived yet which was good so I went to the napping section and decided to sleep until mom came back.
When I woke up, I was being carried by mom.
"Oh, are you awake Kaito" she said.
"Mom *Yawn* when did you came" I asked while yawning.
"Oh, dear I arrived 20 minutes ago, it's just that you looked so peaceful while sleeping and I didn't want to bother you so I just carried you" mom said smiling happily.
"How was your meeting?" I asked fully awake now.
"That is a surprise honey, you'll have to wait a few years" mom said chuckling a little.
"stingy" I pouted.
Maybe is because of my reincarnation but sometimes I can't help to act as a child.
Mom just laughed and said "don't worry dear I promise you it will be an amazing surprise".
"Ok" I said without any worry, since I knew it wasn't anything bad.

[Kaia POV]
If it's I-ISLAND then I'm sure I can make "that". It pains me to miss time with Kaito but I don't know when I'll have a chance like this again, he told me the research could take years and I can't and won't leave Kaito alone, and also can't make him skip these precious years with his friends.
Even though I agreed him to learn martial arts, between this and smithy I cannot allow my son to do everything by himself, I'll give him as much support as I humanly and inhumanly can.
I arrived at a building and knocked on the door, once the cameras saw me a lab assistant came out and greeted me.
"Welcome miss Kobayashi the doctor is waiting for you" said a lab assistant.
"Thank you for having me here, I really appreciate this" I said
"No thanks are needed; your brother was quite happy after hearing from you again" the lab assistant said while guiding me inside.
After a few minutes of walking through the building we arrived at the main office of the building.
"Hello sister, how has life treated you?" said my brother Kobayashi Kenny with a smile.
"I have been fine Kenny thanks for having me here" I said respectfully.
"No problem sis, I mean, you did ditch your responsibilities and landed them to me, you also disrespected father and mother by not inviting them to your wedding and even now you are hiding your son from us so that he doesn't know how horrible you actually are, but we are family so no hard feelings" he said with a smirk while pouring two glasses of wine.
"Now, what do you want?" he asked me coldly.
"My son is quirkless" I said coldly.
"Whoa, talk about karma" Kenny laughed.
"However, he wants to become a hero regardless of that, and has he's mother I'll help him as much as I can, so I want to do those "projects" that we talked about before I left" I said looking at him.
"I guess the apple doesn't fall to far from the tree. Both having impossible dreams without knowing how the world works but, I feel generous today so I'll humor you with your request, with one condition" Kenny said while getting closer to me.
"don't you dare to overstep Kenny; I know I own enough of the family business to ask for this!" I said angrily.
"Oh, I do know that sis, funny enough that's what I want to talk about, you see if I do this favor for you, you have to give up your portion of the company assets ok" Kenny said while smiling.
"I agree" I said.
My answer shocked Kenny a little but then took out a piece of paper, it was a contract that confirms that I'll leave the Kobayashi's family business for good and I don't own anything from the company.
I read it and told Kenny to include my favor in the contract which he did and then I signed it.
After that I went to the testing chamber and left Kenny alone in his office.
[Kenny POV]
'Almost 14 years ago you were clinging to this like a rat to the debris of a sinking ship, but now you gave it up so easily, it seems this nephew of mine is worth of my attention if he can make you change your mind, my hard-headed sister' Kenny thought while drinking his wine and taking an old folder called "PROJECT DIMENSIO".
