Synopsis

A man from Earth transmigrates into the body of a 4-year-old Naoya Zenin, finding himself in a world of curses, sorcery, and dangerous clan politics. With knowledge of the future and the powerful Projection Sorcery, he must find a way to survive and grow stronger in the Zenin clan. But in a world where monsters like Gojo Satoru and Ryomen Sukuna exist, can he really rise to the top with just ambition and intelligence? As Naoya watches the fight between Gojo and Sukuna unfold, something unexpected happens—Sukuna suddenly lands two Black Flashes after their fifth Domain clash instead of gojo, turning the battle upside down. A small smirk appears on Naoya’s lips as he mutters, “This might be bad, no?” The future he thought he knew is starting to change, and for the first time, he wonders if his foresight will really be enough to survive what’s coming. ps:I don't own jujutsu kaisen, obviously, nor do i own anything else mentioned or referenced except for my OC's. (As this is an alternate universe (AU), expect some changes)

Chapter 1Transmigration

Beneath the sprawling branches of an ancient tree in the Zenin estate, a young boy sat in quiet contemplation. Noah—now Naoya—scratched his head, still adjusting to the reality of having transmigrated into this four-year-old body just two days ago.

"Ugh… At least I didn't get transmigrated into some random person," Naoya muttered to himself, his voice barely above a whisper. "Imagine ending up in this world without knowing it's Jujutsu Kaisen and getting killed by a curse before even figuring out what's going on." The thought sent a shiver down his spine, but he quickly brushed it off. He was here now, and he had to make the most of it.

His past life hadn't been anything extraordinary. Born into a wealthy family as a second-generation heir, he had attended elite schools, lived comfortably, and followed the predictable path laid out for him. It was a life devoid of excitement—a typical existence that now felt like a distant dream. But here, in this world of curses and sorcery, he had a chance to be something more.

"I'm the same age as Gojo Satoru, huh?" Naoya muttered under his breath, his voice tinged with a mix of frustration and awe. Gojo Satoru—the man who would one day become the strongest sorcerer of the modern era. The thought alone was enough to make Naoya's chest tighten.

"If only I'd been transmigrated into Gojo's body instead..." he cursed, letting out a heavy sigh. The idea was tempting, almost intoxicating. To wake up in the body of someone so inherently powerful, someone who could reshape the world with a flick of his wrist—it would have been a dream come true.

Young Master, the clan head is calling for you," a voice interrupted, cutting through Naoya's thoughts. He blinked, pulled back to reality, and turned to see a servant bowing respectfully. With a nod, he rose to his feet, brushing off the grass that clung to his clothes.

At just four years old, Naoya had already awakened his cursed technique—an achievement that sent waves through the Zenin clan. It happened a month ago, on the very day he turned four. When Naobito, the clan head, found out that Naoya had inherited Projection Sorcery, one of the Zenin clan's most powerful techniques, his usually unreadable expression wavered for a moment, revealing a flicker of pride.

Naoya made his way to the main hall, his small footsteps echoing softly against the polished wooden floors. The Zenin estate was vast and imposing, a reflection of the clan's power and prestige. As he approached the sliding doors, he took a deep breath, steeling himself for the conversation ahead.

The doors slid open, revealing Naobito seated at the head of the room, a cup of sake in hand. He barely glanced at Naoya before taking a slow sip, exuding an air of absolute authority. Then, his sharp eyes locked onto him, scrutinizing him like a merchant appraising cheap goods.

"Tch." Naobito clicked his tongue, setting his cup down with an audible clink. "So, some of you brats have finally inherited Projection Sorcery. Took you long enough."

Naoya felt a flicker of irritation at the condescending tone. Yeah, yeah, old man, I just got here. How about cutting me some slack? Still, he maintained a respectful posture, his face impassive.

"It means I have the potential to become one of the strongest in the clan," he said steadily. He wasn't some naive brat who'd crumble under a little pressure.

Naobito let out a dry chuckle. "Potential?" He leaned forward slightly, the scent of sake lingering in the air. "That's what weaklings tell themselves before they get crushed." His smirk deepened, cold and sharp. "The Zenin clan doesn't care about 'potential.' Either you're strong, or you're worthless. You think some half-baked awakening means anything?"

Naoya fought the urge to roll his eyes. Classic arrogant old man move—dismiss first, acknowledge later—a tactic he'd seen a thousand times in anime. But he knew how this world worked. Strength dictated everything. He had no intention of playing the obedient heir forever, but for now, he'd play along.

"I understand," he said smoothly, dipping his head just enough to appear respectful without looking weak.

Naobito exhaled through his nose, unimpressed. "Hmph. We'll see." He leaned back lazily, lifting his cup once more. "If you want to be more than just another disposable brat, then prove it. Otherwise, don't waste my time."

Naoya remained still, but inside, he smirked. Oh, don't worry, old man. I'll prove it. And when I do, you'll be the first to realize you underestimated me.

One thing that has always bothered me a bit about fanfictions titled "Reborn as X character" is the fact that they all ultimately talk only about "What if my OC with not a single character trait compatible to X character had their power" and never actually become worthy to be called a variant of that character, only someone who, however well or badly written they might be, only share the name of X character in question. (Not that it's universally bad to write that way, not at all, but it gets pretty stale) So color me surprised when I found a story that FINALLY scratched that itch and didn't just abandon the OG character writing in favour of their OC one but rather wove the 2 together into someone that CAN be called Naoya Zenin while also clearly having distinct traits unique to the variant of this story. But what sold me on this fanfic wasn't only the MC writing, without spoiling anything I also think that his interactions with the OG cast are done very well too, bringing out believable but buried aspects of their characters that Gege didn't have the chance to put in the spotlight. And least of all, I am STARVED of systematic, believable and reasonable power progression done with full respect of an universe rules, and fanfictions rarely have that, yet here it's more than present, and excluding a boost in total CE amount (happens due to OG and OC Naoya Souls becoming one at the very beginning) the MC has no cheat at all, and purely through both the ingenuity of a transmigrator and the mind someone actually capable he'll make Projection Sorcery progress and evolve in ways I could totally see Gege write if Naoya Cursed Technique was his favourite one in the story. (If anyone is interested the last VERY GOOD fanfic I've read that did this aspect extremely well is "Reborn into Naruto World with Tenseigan") Final note, expect some VERY VERY random yet well written developments at some points of the story, the author isn't hiding the fact that a couple of times they just write things out of nowhere into the story purely for the love of the game, but so far every single one of those few choices has only made the story more interesting, so I purely see it as not being able to predict some of the directions the story is going to take, the promise of quality fully remains despite the unpredictability, making it even better for me. In conclusion, give this fic a read, I'm pretty sure you won't regret it!
