Floating in a black void, I looked around.

'Where did I go now?" I question out loud as I try to look around. A few minutes of struggling later, I figure out how to move in the void to look around myself.

Right behind me was a huge ball of gas, emitting a beautiful blueish hue, as if a sun in the middle of the void.

Looking closely, I could see a hollow black spot in the middle with a small black comma shape revolving around the centre.

"Beautiful" I mutter as I reach out to go near the floating orb.

As I approach the orb, I could see a few streams of the blue gas-like substance streaming out of the orb and spreading outwards into the void.

'Flaw' as soon as I got within reach of the ball, I touched it and muttered.

"Magic Core of Harry Potter: Magic core belonging to Harry James Potter. Evolved and modified to contain the user's Sharingan and Byakugan. Currently exhausted, but slowly recovering.

Flaws: Due to long years of strain, the core is underdeveloped for the user's age. Mana leaking out of the core due to lack of control over the energy, as well as due to underdeveloped barrier containing the energy. …"

Instantly, a book appeared in my mind when I touched the ball. Reading through it, realisation dawned on me.

"So, this is my core. And the energy just flying off into the void is my mana being wasted. What's this about it being underdeveloped and strained?" I question as I look through the book again.

"Since the age of 2, the magic core has been under strain by being used to power a protection ward at Number 4, Privet Drive and a blood protection ward cast by Lily Potter on 31st October 1981."

"So that's the reason the core is strained. Man, I need to fix it quick. But first, how do I get out of here." As soon as I think about leaving the void, I feel a pulling force near my stomach.

The next instant, my eyes flutter open, taking in the sight from outside the train window.

The sun was setting behind the mountains and the sky was turning a beautiful shade of orange and red.

"Oh, you're awake Harry. The prefects just told us to change into our uniforms. We are about to arrive." Ron spoke up while Neville was putting on his robe.

"Yeah, thanks for reminding." I say as I take out my uniform and put it on, while folding up my oversized clothes into my trunk.

"Hey Ron, Neville, do you guys know if we can send messages to Gringotts from Hogwarts." I ask the boys.

"I don't know if we can send mail to Gringotts, but I do know we can send normal mail to our families and friends when we are at Hogwarts. My brothers usually send a few owls through the year to mum and dad." Ron replied.

"Yes. We can send an owl to our families from Hogwarts. Nan told me to owl to her every week." Neville added.

"Oh, ok, thanks." Kinda disappointed at their lack of information, I lean back and open up the book I borrowed from Hermione and use it as a cover to read through the books in my library.

"Interesting. Transfiguration focuses on changing the outer shape of the object only. Charms focus on wand movement, spell pronunciation and mental images. Potions is just mystical chemistry; astronomy hasn't gone past the middle ages. Defence is about various dark creatures and their strengths and weaknesses. And finally, herbology is just plant studies.

Seems simple enough. Easy to memorise all of this." I say to myself as I skim through the books and understand the basics written in them.

While a lot of books were filled with flaws, I was able to cross-reference the books with each other and reduce the number of flaws to about a hundred per book.

"Lets leave the books till the weekend." I think to myself and close the book I had in my hand, and stand up.

"It seems we have arrived." I say out loud when I see the train pulling up into the dingy platform in the middle of nowhere.

"The prefect told us to leave our trunks here, someone will pick them up and bring it to our dorms." Neville offered when he saw me picking up my trunk.

"That's neat. Thanks" I leave the huge trunk and walk out of the cabin, heading out of the train.

As soon as I step out of the train, a dry and chill autumn wind hits my face, causing a shiver to run down my body.

"Fir' Years. Fir' Years. O'er here." When all students stood on the platform, a hulking huge man in think hair called out loudly.

Making my way to the half giant, I stand to the side and wait for further instructions.

"Heya Arry. Chilly ay?" Hagrid noticed me standing in the corner pulling my robe around myself and greeted.

"Hey Hagrid. Good to see you again." I politely greet Hagrid. If I remember correctly, Hagrid took me shopping around Diagon Alley a few days ago.

"Follow me." When all the first years were gathered in front of him, Hagrid's booming voice sounded, asking us to head to the pier.

"No more than four a boat." He further instructed.

Walking towards an empty boat floating in the black lake, I jump in, followed by Ron, Neville and surprisingly Hermione.

"Hey Harry." Hermione chirped as we sat down confortably.
