13 Chapter 10: Resurrection

In a secluded place, behind the ruined shrine, Jin stood there where he was, motionless. Carefully looking down at Shuri's lifeless body in his arms.

"Damn it" he spat out in between gritted teeth.

"Just why?" he asked himself

"Just when I finally found people who accepted and cared for me and made me feel and realize the warmth of a family. Just why did they have to be taken away from me?" he cried out loud as he hugged and clenched Shuri tightly in his arms before quickly falling down on his knees.

"No!" he Yelled out defiantly

"I won't let it end like this." Jin said as he got back up.

"There is still a chance. I can still save her." he said as he quickly opened up a portal to his gate of Babylon which he then proceeded to enter, along with Shuri still in his arms.

Upon entry though, what greeted Jin's sight was a place filled with endless gold and treasures.

From famous swords and armor, to weapons that were completely capable of causing mass destruction.

Almost everything could be found here.

However, ignoring everything in front of him, Jin continued on and went on to find a safe open space, where he then carefully proceeded to place Shuri down.

"Don't worry, I promise I'll bring you back." he whispered as he turned around and began looking around

"Come on, come on, come on." Jin yelled out anxiously as he desperately searched throughout his gate of Babylon.

"There must be something in here that can bring back the dead." he convinced himself as he continued rumbling through his treasury.

Nevertheless, after a while of searching and without any results, Jin couldn't help but finally curse out loud.

"Damn it!"

" Why can't I find anything."

However, as he later began to calm down, he couldn't help but catch, from the corner of his eyes, seven crystalline spheres laying together on top of a golden pedestal.

"Huh?" he muttered as he slowly turned his head around and looked at them curiously.

"Are those what I think they are?" he asked as he proceeded to go ahead and get closer.

"They are!!" he yelled out in excitement as he neared them.

"They really are the seven dragon balls" Jin said as he was finally within reach of them. allowing him to get a better view of the seven orange crystalline spheres, who were each engraved with a different number of stars

"With these, I can definitely bring Shuri back." he affirmed as he quickly proceeded to pick them up before heading back to the previous location, where he had left Shuri at.

Having set the spheres down in front of him, Jin soon went ahead and took a few steps back

"Alright then..." he said as he slowly raised his hands up over them.

"Time to start." he announced as he then immediately threw his arms up.

"Rise Shenron!" he then yelled

And before long,

the spheres quickly began to rise and start to glow

and as they got brighter and brighter a beam of light then suddenly shot right up into the air. Slowly forming a huge majestic green dragon.

"I am Shenron. I shall grant you any wish. Now speak what is it that you wish for?" it soon opened its mouth and declared

"I wish for you to bring Shuri back to life." Jin replied as he turned his head around and started intently at Shuri who was laying lifeless on the ground.

"It shall be done." the dragon replied as he soon quickly disappeared.

"uhm" Shuri muttered as she began to wake up the next second.

"Where am I?" she asked in confusion as she slowly sat up and began looking around.

"huh! Jin? Is that you?" She asked as she spotted Jin.

"What are you doing here?" She questioned

"Wait! where are we anyway? Wasn't I just at home when we were suddenly attacked by... and I was then... Wait! where's Akeno!" she said as she soon got up and yelled in panic.

"Don't worry Shuri, Akeno was able to escape safely thanks to you and for now, is probably still nearby where you teleported her. As for where we are right now, we're in my own personal pocket dimension in which I keep and store many of my valuable items. I had to bring us here to be able to revive you. Jin interrupted her and said

"Thank goodness, that's great to hear but wait! did you just say revive me? by that do you mean by making me a part of your peerage? then does that mean you're a devil? " she asked and began questioning.

"No, I'm not. I used another method to revive you instead." Jin replied

"Other method?" Shuri questioned

"Yeah, I used an item from here to help resurrect you." He answered.

"Oh! is that so?"

"Yeah and I'm glad that it worked out"

"Well then I must thank you then for saving me then." Shuri replied

"No need, I'm just glad that you're okay." Jin said and reassured her

"Fufufu, was little Jin worried about me." Shuri asked teasingly

"Yeah" he replied bluntly, leaving Shuri stunned before causing her to smile warmly at him the next second.

"I'm sorry for worrying you." she said as she then went ahead and brought him into a warm embrace.

"But, it's okay now." She reassured him.

"Yeah" Jin muttered as a few tears slowly escaped from his eyes.

"So...you know about the supernatural then?" Shuri asked as she slowly separated from Jin.

"Yup, pretty much" Jin replied

"Then are your parents also aware?" she questioned.

"Yeah, but just recently. it's pretty much the whole reason that they left me. Seeing as the rest of my siblings just recently awakened their sacred gears, with my older brother awakening the boosted gear, and me being the only one who didn't receive one."

"What! your brother is the red dragon emperor?" Shuri asked in shock

"Yup."

"Sigh, even so, that doesn't justify their actions." she complained.

"However, you said you don't have a sacred gear? then how are you able to do all of this?" she asked as she looked around her.

"It's an innate ability. That may or may not be due to me being a dragon?" he lied.

"Oh, ok. Wait ! did you just say you're a dragon?" she said before asking in utter disbelief.

"Yup" Jin replied as he slowly raised his hand up and showed her his now transformed arm, which were covered in dark scales. before changing it back and placing it back down.

"But how?" she questioned.

"I don't really know. It just happened" he responded half truthfully.

"Well anyway, enough about that. How about we leave now and go find Akeno before it gets too late" Jin said, trying to change the subject.

"Right, let's go." Shuri accepted without a second thought.

Slowly coming out of Jin's gate of Babylon, Shuri's sight was slowly greeted to the sight of a ruined and scorched land.

"How awful." She whispered as she looked around her.

"Yeah, sorry about that. I may have gone overboard when eliminating the enemies." Jin voiced out as he slowly came out from his gate of Babylon.

"What! you did this? and did you just say you eliminated the ones who attacked us." Shuri asked Jin in surprise.

"Yeah" he quickly responded

"Well..."

before Shuri could continue speaking she was suddenly interrupted by a loud shout from above her."

"SHURI!"
