2 Developments

I'm now 2 years old, and nothing has changed, well I did find some more books in another room of the house after I finally managed to work up the courage of entering one of the bright and fluffy pink filled rooms with cat portraits everywhere, but the books weren't really that useful, a few of them were.. particularly dark, oh I still plan on using them.. if I really do have magic that is, I don't really care if a spell is 'light' or 'dark, as long as its useful, but I don't really see myself in many situations where i'll need to use a spell that turns someones skin backwards.

My quest of learning magic still hasn't bore any fruit at the moment as, despite my uncountable amount of attempts, I still haven't even be able to cast a simple lumos or do any accidental magic like making a book fly towards me but I won't give up until I'm 11! This world has magic and I damn well plan on learning it.

Now, there was one book, and while I still haven't managed to get myself to the first step yet, I've tried multiple times to learn it, and plan on trying more in the future.

This book is called 'The beginners guide to learning Occlumency' and when I found it, I was rather surprised, I didn't think someone like 'Mother' would have something like this laying around. There are many steps and methods of learning occlumency, and this book only contains the first few, but I still count this book as one of the most useful in the house.

The first step in learning occlumency is clearing your mind until you have no thoughts at all, while this doesn't work very well if a muggle tries it, clearing your thoughts when you have magic is able to calm you down and, once you've grown proficient enough, you are able to find your memories, at that point you could consider yourself a beginner occlumens, the next step after that would be building your defences and sorting your memories, but I don't think i'll get to that point for quite a while, not to mention the book is infuriatingly vague, it says that everyone learns occlumency slightly different and you have to learn to defend and sort your mind yourself, can't it at least give me some tips? *sigh* how troublesome.

Being a baby... is boring. My 'maid' or whatever, I just call her Patricia, because that's her name, is here for around 4-6 hours a day but other than that I have free reign, 'Mother' is home around 1-2 hours a day, and apart from sleeping, she's always at the Ministry or somewhere like that, to put it simply, I don't have very 'doting' parents and I couldn't be more grateful.. or annoyed. Having Mother away is great, but having nothing but books that I've already read before to keep me company is very boring, and with my baby instincts always wanting to learn new things, play and the like, it's almost as if i'm going insane, so most of the time I just desperately try to use occlumency and to learn spells, all to no avail.

The reason I was excited to learn occlumency at the beginning was because I figured 'I might not be able to project my magic outward, but I should still be able to use magic in my body, after all, the book mentioned that even some squibs were able to learn occlumency.'

I'm 3 years old, and it's been a year since I've tried occlumency and using spells and everything I can learn that has to do with magic. What have I accomplished? Well, using any spell whatsoever still hasn't worked, it says I need iNTenT, FoCUs and pOWeR, Well I bloody well intend to use the spell, I am focusing as I much as I can and I'm screaming like a super saiyan to unleash my power but it ain't fucking working!. *sigh* anyway, my occlumency hasn't really accomplished anything drastic anyway, I'm able to, at the very least, clear my mind after a few minutes of meditating but there's no sign of any 'memories' showing up. As for improving my magical knowledge? I've explored the whole ruddy house, but the only new things I've discovered were a few 'questionable' items in the attic along with a few new books that really weren't all that helpful.

Age: 3 years 2 months and 22 days.

'Accio' 'Accio!' 'ACCIO!' 'COME ON, MOVE!', all of a sudden, the pillow that I was trying to move flew right into my face, knocking me on the ground, but I couldn't care less about that.

.. 'Magic! I did Magic!' "HAHAHAHAHAHAHA, YESS!"

I suddenly felt tired, well it's not that surprising considering I've been trying to use magic for the past 3 hours, it's late and I finally did magic for the first time.

All of a sudden I heard a shout from downstairs, "Reg! What are you doing up there? It's time for bed!"

'Oh shit' "Nothing!" I shouted hurriedly, quickly tossing my pillow back on my bed, turning off the lamp and crawling back into bed.

A few seconds later, a normal looking woman who looked to be in her early 30's, with brown hair and blue eyes came in, "What was all that noise?"

"What do you mean?" I asked with tone of curiosity and innocence.

"I heard someone shouting, and it sounded like you" she said with suspicious look on her face.

"Aunt Patricia, I think you're hearing things again."

"I'm sure" she said, obviously not believing me, "It better not happen again." she said with narrowed eyes.

"I'm sure whoever it was won't shout again, it's late and people are trying to sleep! Don't worry Aunt Patricia, I'm sure they won't do it again!" I said with a cheery voice that would've convinced anyone but her.

"Good" she said slowly before turning around and closing the door, making her way back down stairs, she usually left around this time anyway.

'Phew, I thought I was a good actor, but Aunt Patricia knows me too well, but that's not important, I DID MAGIC'

'hahaha this is a patronus worthy memory! I was scared that I was a squib but I can do it! I can do magic! This feels amazing!'

With thoughts like those, I eventually drifted off to sleep because I was sufficiently drained for the day, but even once I had fell asleep, I still had a goofy smile on my face.'

10 minutes later and Patricia came into the room quietly, seeing my sleeping, smiling face, she got a smile of her own, 'good night, little guy.' she thought before closing the door and leaving the house with her stuff.
