13 The one with the Opening Ceremony 1

Central Perk

Chandler, Monica, Ross, Adam, Phoebe and Rachel all sat at the coffee house together.

Phoebe: "oh, that's good"

Monica: "okay, all right, Phoebe?"

Phoebe: "okay, okay. If I were omnipotent for a day, I would want, um, world peace, no more hunger, good things for the rain forest and a bigger boobs"

Adam: "why would you want a bigger boobs, you are perfect just the way you are"

Phoebe: "awwn, thank you, but I still want a bigger boobs"

Adams just sighed and didn't say anything anymore as he knew he couldn't win in an argument with Phoebe.

Ross: "Chandler, what about you?"

Chandler: "if I were omnipotent for a day, I would make myself omnipotent forever"

Rachel: "heh. See, there is always one guy 'if I had a wish, I would wish for three more wishes'"

Adam: "well, there is nothing bad with what he said, you know, when you have a power like that, it will be very hard for you to let it go. The power to bend reality with only a thought with little to no effort, you can get anything you want with a snap of your finger, that kind of power is intoxicating and you wouldn't get enough of it, especially you Rachel and I would do the same thing with Chandler, if I was omnipotent for a day"

Adam remembered when he was given wishes after he died before being reincarnated into this world, but he wanted a normal life and gave up the life of a god - level being. But he didn't bother, because with that kind of power, comes a responsibility he would have to shoulder.

What Adam didn't know was what was hidden inside of that seemly ordinary wishes due to his mysterious background even he did not know about.

Rachel: "and why did you say especially me?"

Adam: "well, because, you know, if you are omnipotent, you can have everything you desire and when I say everything, I mean all the designer clothes, bags, shoes, etc you name it"

Adam and the others could see the stars in Rachel's eyes when he said that.

Rachel: "whatever"

The door to the coffee house opened as Joey walked in.

Ross and Monica: "hey, Joey"

Chandler: "buddy"

Monica: "hey, Joey, what would you do if you were omnipotent?"

Joey stopped in his tracks when he heard Monica. His face changed into a frown as he misunderstood what Monica was talking about.

Joey: "probably kill myself"

Everyone looked at him when he said that while Adam just laughed.

Monica "excuse me?"

Joey: "hey, if little Joey is dead, then I got no reason to live, you know?"

Adam bust out laughing once again, he could even imagine the laughter's in the background.

Ross: "heh, Joey, um, omnipotent"

Joey: "you are? Ross I'm..."

Joey didn't get to finish that as Ross stood up from his seat while the others joined Adam laughing.

Joey: "anyway, I have been doing as you've said to improve my acting skills after our last training session, and it has been of great help, thanks Adam"

Adam: "no problem, just doing what I said I would do before, but before you could start working with SMART Entertainment, you would have to have more screenplay experience, so I will advise you to go audition for some roles in the meantime"

Joey: "okay, I will do that. Isn't this impressive, guys, I'm gonna be a movie star, no more Pinocchio"

Joey was so happy when he thought of his future.

Chandler: "well, Joey, I would have liked to join in celebration, but believe me, I have to go to the office to do a few things, so bye, bye"

Chandler left the coffee house after patting Joey on his shoulder.

Adam: "okay, I also have to leave, I have a to head over to the construction site just right across the street"

Monica: "I will also join you, I would also like to check it out, and I have to make sure they make the restaurant to my taste"

Adam: "fine, and it will even be the best for all of us, you are too Monica for me"

Monica: "hey, what does that mean?"

Adam simply shrugged and walked out of the coffee house while the others laughed.

A Few minutes later

Adam and Monica came to a brand new building that was in the process of completion.

Adam and Monica saw a group of guys coming with a large sign towards the building.

Monica: "so that's the name sign of your club"

Adam: "yeah, what do you think?"

Monica: "it's kind of cool having a nightclub, but what's with the name 'LUX'?"

Adam: "well, LUX means Light in Latin and I don't want to name it Light, and LUX has a nice ring to it"

Monica knew he is talking another bullshit but she just let it pass and if she continues, he will be just keep talking nonsense.

Monica: "sometimes, I wonder who's better between you and Phoebe"

Adam smiled and they walked inside and saw that everything was done with the club, in fact, they were already done with everything but Adam to them to hold on with the restaurant as he knew Monica to be high maintenance and everything must be to her liking.

The building has five floors, the club, Monica's restaurant, Rachel's future fashion floor, Phoebe's Massaging floor and a penthouse on the last floor, he is going to let Ross have it after the trip to London, he did not want to miss Phoebe's iconic scene and one of the main reasons he started watching the friends series 'MY EYES, MY EYES". Thinking about it right now is making him smile.

Adam: "you can go check out the restaurant, I will head to the other building, they should finish with everything today"

Monica: "okay"

Adam left and went to the other building.

A week later

Adam was sitting in Ross's apartment as he wondered about his future. He was thinking of a way to meet up with Emily without the need of having Rachel do it, but he didn't know how to go about it.

Adam: "sigh, should I go to London now or I should just hold it up and wait until the time she appeared on the series, that will mean Rachel will have to work her ass off until then, well, she would also gain a lot of experience from it, so it's a win - win situation for her. Okay, then, time to go to the opening of SMART Group HQ here in Manhattan"

Adam walked out of the apartment and took a taxi to Monica's Apartment to meet up with the rest of the group.

Monica's Apartment

Monica: "mom and dad are already there with uncle and aunty, and can you believe it?"

Ross: "what happened, Mon?"

Monica: "mom is blaming me for us not being there early"

Phoebe: "wait, what's wrong with Judy anyway, did she give birth to you while she was trying to get rid of you?"

Everyone stopped what they were doing and looked at Phoebe.

Phoebe: "what? I was just saying"

Rachel: "hey, Mon, this is just a phase, it will all pass someday"

Monica: "yeah, when she is dead"

Ross: "come on, all right people, let's hurry up, Adam should be here in a minute, we don't want to be anymore late than this"

Ross decided to round up everyone as they were about to attend SMART Group HQ opening.

They hurried up and finished whatever they were doing and left the apartment only to see Adam standing besides a black limousine.

Adam: "okay, you sure took your time to come out, well, since you are here, then we should get going"

They entered the Limo and drove to the heart of Manhattan where a tall building with a huge word shinning in the night.
