7 The One Where Monica and Ross Gets New Roomates

Inside Monica's Apartment

The gangs together with Adam were seated together watching a movie while Rachel was on the phone with her father.

Monica: "I'm guessing he bought her the big pipe organ and she's not happy about it"

Monica commented on the show they were watching when they heard Rachel's voice while on the phone with her father while only Ross turned to look at her.

Rachel: "Daddy, I just can't marry him, I'm sorry. I just don't love him. Sigh, well it matters to me"

Chandler: "she should not be wearing those pants"

Chandler said as they all continued to watch the show.

Joey: "I say push her down the stairs"

All: "Push her down the stairs! Push her down the stairs! Push her down the stairs!"

They all clapped and cheered after the character they were chanting before to be pushed down the stairs was finally pushed.

Rachel: "come on Daddy, listen to me, it's like all of my life, everyone has always told me 'you are a shoe! you are a shoe! you are a shoe! you are a shoe!' and then today I stopped and said what if I don't wanna be a shoe? 'What if I wanna be a purse? You know, or, or, or a hat'"

Rachel said as she drew the attention of everybody into room to her.

Rachel: "I don't want you to buy me a hat, I am a hat, it's a metaphor Daddy"

Ross: "you can see where he'd have trouble"

Ross said to Rachel but immediately shut up and walked away after Rachel gave him a 'I'm not in the mood' look.

Rachel: "look, Daddy, it's my life"

Rachel said and paused as she waited for her father to finish what he was going to say before she continued.

Rachel: "well, maybe I'll just stay here with Monica"

As soon as she said that, everyone turned to Monica who had an awkward smile.

Monica: "I guess we've established she's staying here with Monica"

The gang nodded before they turned their attention back at Rachel.

Rachel: "well, maybe that's my decision. Well maybe I don't need your money"

Rachel said with confidence before realizing what she said and hurriedly continued.

Rache: "wait, wait, I said maybe"

Rachel said but it was too late as her father has already hung up, she gave the phone to Monica whom she borrowed it from and said thank you to her.

Adam: "so hat, what am I hearing, the queen bee of Lincoln high school was in a relationship with a man whom she thought she loved but turns out she didn't when she was about to get married to him and left him standing at the altar waiting for her, wow, you are all over the news, social media and all, you are technically a celebrity at this point"

Adam said as he scroll through his phone and saw the news of how Rachel dumped her soon to be husband on their wedding day.

Rachel: "oh no, I'm finished, my life is over, everyone will find out about it"

Rachel panicked at the realization of what will happen to her after this.

Adam: "well, don't worry, I can help you with that, I will contact my team to remove every bit of news about you and your wedding, that's the least I can do for you, hat"

Adam smiled as he stood up to make a call to his team.

Monica: "hey, could you stop calling her a hat?"

Monica yelled at her cousin for calling Rachel a hat.

Rachel was about to throw up after the days event but Monica comforted her, trying to make her relax.

Monica: "okay, just breathe, that's it, just try to think of nice, calm things"

Phoebe who was behind Rachel the whole time started singing for her.

Phoebe: "Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens, doorbells and sleigh bells and something with mittens, LA LA LA something with string"

Rachel not wanting her to continue immediately said.

Rachel: "I'm all better now"

Phoebe happily turned around to the boys behind her and said.

Phoebe: "I helped"

Monica: "hey look, this is probably for the best, you know independence, taking control of your life"

Monica said to Rachel as a way of encouragement and for her to look at the bright side.

Joey: "and hey, if you need anything, you can always come to Joey. Me and Chandler just live right across the hall and he's away a lot"

Joey said to Rachel as she placed his hands on her shoulder as he flirts with her.

Monica: "Joey, stop hitting on her, it's her wedding day"

Joey: "what? Like there's a rule or something?"

Adam: "it is done, the story of how Rachel Greene aka Hat dumping her fiancée at the alter has forever disappeared from the internet, you can thank me later hat, no pressure"

Adam said as he showed her his phone for her to verify his word when they heard the intercom buzzing to which Chandler took the privilege to answer.

Chandler: "please don't do that again, it's a horrible sound"

"Uh, it's Paul"

A voice was heard from the intercom.

Monica: "buzz him in"

Joey: "who's Paul?"

Ross walked over to Monica's side as he wanted to confirm something from her.

Ross: "Paul, the wine guy, Paul?"

Monica: "maybe"

Joey: "wait a minute, your 'not a real date' is with Paul, the wine guy?"

Joey asked Monica.

Ross: "he finally asked you out?"

Monica: "yes"

Chandler: "ohh, this is a 'dear diary' moment"

Monica: "Rach, wait, I can cancel"

Adam: "and why would you want to do that, she can take care of herself, if she can't do that, then I wonder how Hat is going to live an independent life from her parents, so just go to your date and forget about anything else, this is your night, enjoy it, right Hat?"

Rachel: "he is right, go on, I'll be fine"

Monica looked at her cousin before she sighed and wanted to also asked Ross but stopped when she saw Adam looking at her.

They heard a knock on the door as Monica ran to get it.

Monica: "hi, come in. Paul, this is..."

Monica turned to look at the gang who she wanted to introduce individually all gathered together as they looked at her and Paul, so seeing no other way, she improvised.

Monica: "everybody. Everybody, this is Paul"

They all said hi to him as Chandler said.

Chandler: "I didn't catch your name, Paul was it?"

Monica: "okay, sit down, just give me two seconds"

Paul: "okay"

As Paul went to sit down on the couch, Ross gave Monica a thumbs up for her taste while Adam looked at Paul and had a thought of ending the date with just one word but decided against it.

Ross: "so Rachel, what are you up to tonight?"

Ross asked Rachel who sat in the dinning area.

Rachel: "well, I was supposed to be headed for Aruba on my honeymoon... so nothing"

Rachel said as she smiled at Ross.

Ross: "right, you are not even getting your honeymoon"

Ross felt bad for Rachel a little who just looked at him as if it was nothing.

Ross: "anyway, if you don't feel like being alone tonight... um...Joey and Chandler are helping me with my furniture"

Chandler: "yes and we are very excited about that"

Chandler made a sarcastic remark as he and Joey walked into the Kitchen area.

Rachel: "actually, thanks but I think I'm just gonna hang out here tonight, it's been a long day"

Rachel said as she sat up and left the kitchen.

Ross: "oh, sure, okay. Sure"

Joey: "hey, Pheebs, you wanna help?"

Phoebe: "oh, I wish I could but I don't want to"

Joey nooded his head whereas Chandler just looked at the two of them.

Adam: "hey Ross, can I crash at your place for a few days?"

Ross: "sure, no problem with that"

Chandler: "rich guy having apartment trouble?"

Chandler seeing the opportunity wanted to get back at Adam.

Adam: "no.. it just that, when I came to Manhattan, I bought a building and had to demolish it as I had something in mind with it, something grand, Bing"

Adam said as he smiled at Chandler as if telling him that he can never have a chance to have an edge over him.
