Episode 2: Reborn and Sent away

After leaving the two Gods and heading to the Dragon Ball world Kyle awoke in a small bed. He had no idea were he was or what was happening and his body wouldn't obey him.

===1st Person POV===

(AN: this is how the story is going to be written from here on out)

I opened my eyes and saw a very unfamiliar ceiling, I was in a weird pod shaped bed and there was other babies around me. I knew that I had been reborn just as I was told I would be. Then I heard a robotic voice in my head.

[BIZZZZ..... Establishing link to host..... Established]

[Greetings Host I am your capable system for whatever you desire!!!]

My system had been established so I asked it what kind of functions does it have.

Sys: [I can show the Status of the host, Inventory to store things, Training where host may train his body, mind, spirit, and soul to the peak of this realm, Observation where you may observe things a.k.a. their status, Research where host may research new forms of combat, energy use, or the realm around you, and a Shop to buy things from this realm.]

Now knowing what my system did I used the Status command like those MC's in fanfics and webnovels, that I used to read in my past life.

Seeing how weak oneself first hand is an enlightening experience. I decided to put my system to work by having research Ki has I drifted off into the land of Hypnos to meet Morpheus.

(AN: He means he went to bed and started dreaming)

Waking up a while later I asked the system if it was done researching Ki, the answer I got was that it was fully analyzing Ki, and it showed me the results of its research.

Ki

The life energy that all bio-organic beings emit.

With higher levels of use, one can hide how much Ki they posses.

Androids and Cyborgs don't emit Ki due to the large amount of machinery that they posses in their body structure.

After seeing the results I decided to have the system research my Dragon Ball Creation skill, and hoped for better results. Sighing to myself, I proceeded to check the inventory to see if I had gotten anything. And to no one's surprise I got absolutely nothing. I looked through the corner of my eye and saw some weird aliens, seeing Akira Toriyama's drawings come to life was really surreal.

I decided that with nothing better to do I would try to feel the Ki around me. It took me what felt like ten hours before I could feel the Ki around me, that was backed up by what the system told me afterwards.

Checking the status screen I saw that I had gained the Primitive Ki Sense skill. I was very happy about that fact, but couldn't celebrated because my body was telling me that it was time to sleep.

Waking up the next day I found myself in a pod in the middle of space, after asking my system what had happened. I found out that I was judged as a low-class Saiyan and sent to a weak planet. Being in the middle of space I couldn't practice Ki Sense as that needed some life around, and where I was there was no life that I could help me practice the skill. So after finding out that my efforts were to be wasted I decided to sense my own Ki.

Sensing one's own Ki is a lot easier than I thought it would be, mine looked like a small gaseous ball in the core of my being. I learned that the system was done researching the Dragon Ball Creation skill, and found out that it's just as it sounds a skill for creating Dragon Balls. After sensing my Ki once more, I tried to gather it into my hand to see what it looks like. The colour of Ki in Dragon Ball isn't uniform and seems to change between person to person, like Captain Ginyu of the Frieza force or Jeice of the same force, both have differently coloured Ki when compared to the everyone else in the series.

My Ki was Gold in the center with it slowly changing to Crimson on the edges. I've never seen a two tone Ki colour in the series, so I attributed it to being a reincarnated person. The system told me that I gained a new skill called Primitive Ki Control, so for the next few months I was practising my Ki control until my skill evolved into Modern Ki Control. After conversing with the system, a thing I do quite often these days, I found out that the modern in the name refers to the use of Ki in the later parts of the series. It seems that no one really pushed Ki control to its absolute limits.

With how much I've been practising my Ki had risen from 15 to 300, the amount of Ki I have now is enough to rival newborn mid-class Saiyans. With another few months to go by before I arrive at the planet I'm supposed to destroy, in the lifeform sense. I practised Ki from getting up to sleeping, and found out the reason I haven't been able to sleep the whole way. It's because the system isn't allowing the chemicals they use to put me to sleep. I was quite thankful for that even if I am bored out of my mind.
