Chapter 49

Night had finally fallen, the Astraea familia held a small celebration at the star dust garden, giving lots of food and drinks to the civilians.

It was just a minor victory but they had made some progress non the less. Draco had also woken up and was there with his familia.

"Draco are you sure that you are well enough to eat that much" Clair said in concern for Draco.

"Yea I'm fine" I replied.

"Draco nii, here" Lili said while handing me an assorted plate of food. I was grateful and took it. Kaguya had given me the gist of what happened after I fell unconscious.

Well the series of events that occurred was just mind boggling. Funny that it all started with an elf throwing a tantrum that led to a crazy series of events.

Well there was one thing that I was happy about, it was not being awake when they encountered Zald.

I had no idea what Zald would do to me. I had four people to avoid now. Zald, Alfia, Ais and the fake dragon kin.

"Do you think that it is ok using up all this food at once ?" Kaguya asked with concern.

"Don't worry, Hermes sama brought it himself, though I don't know where he got it from" Falgar replied to ease here concern.

I soon spotted my brothers mingling with the Astraea familia members. I couldn't blame them, the girls were beautiful after-all but I didn't have any romantic interest in any of them for now.

I was interested in Ryuu because she reminded me of Rize but I could tell it wasn't romantic in nature at least not now.

Meanwhile in another room Hermes was complaining about having to carry supplies from the Demeter's secret stash all day.

"Fufufu, thank you for your hard work Hermes" Astraea said with her charming voice. She did look quite enticing to Hermes.

"Hehehehe, so do I get a special reward for my hard work?" Hermes said in a lustful manner. This earned him an eerie smile from Astraea but luckily Asfi stopped him.

"Please stop this Hermes sama, your embarrassing our familia" Asfi said in a reproaching manner.

"Of course not, I am just trying to get closer to our allies, why don't we go and visit Lydia's grave" Hermes suddenly said with a serious face, subtly changing the topic. This shocked Asfi a bit but she agreed.

I was still eating with Bahamut and my familia when Kaguya and Lyra approached me.

"It's a bit late but thank you for helping us" they both said.

"It's ok, I was just doing the right thing" I replied. No way was I going to tell them that I nearly ran away.

"Ah yes, as a mage yourself do you know of anyway to counter Alfia" Lyra asked me with expectant eyes. It seemed the spells that I pulled off were somewhat enticing to her.

"No I don't, I mean mage aside, she is still a level 7. Maybe a magic item might help" I thoughtlessly replied. My answers seemed to disappoint her a bit but she soon bounced back as it looked like she just got an idea from my words.

"Asfi can make one. Why don't you come with us to ask her" Lyra said with an expectant gaze. I looked at my goddess before making a decision.

"Fine but my familia will need to stay here for the night. Can't have them returning Alone" I replied.

"It's fine, I am sure Astraea sama will agree" Kaguya said. Bahamut and the rest of my familia didn't seem to mind. We were very close with the Astraea familia after-all.

We soon left to a room where we saw Astraea, Hermes and Asfi in the same room. For some reason Bahamut followed me, so I assumed that she wanted to talk with Astraea.

"Asfi, can you help in making an item to defeat Alfia" Lyra said after launching herself towards Asfi's direction.

Hermes on the other hand put his hat down and seemed to be avoiding Bahamut's gaze.

"I don't think there is enough time to make one" Asfi replied but Lyra didn't give up.

"Don't worry, if we don't sleep and gather some other mages we can make this work" Lyra replied before dragging Asfi with her. Me and Kaguya soon followed, it looked like the gods wanted to discuss something.

"Hermes, why do you keep avoiding me" Bahamut said with an eerie smile.

"A-a-avoiding you, you must be imagining things" Hermes replied while stuttering. This made Astraea chuckle.

"Oh, then why do you avoid my passionate gaze" Bahamut said teasingly, while staring directly at Hermes.

"Ahem, excuse me ladies but duty calls" Hermes said as an excuse before exiting the room.

"Hahahahaha" Astraea burst out laughing. Bahamut's was one of the goddesses that Hermes couldn't deal with so he always avoided her because of that one incident. It was funny to remember so she laughed.

"Astraea" Bahamut yelled while launching herself toward Astraea. Pulling her into a hug.

"Did that mean god do anything weird to you" Bahamut said.

"What do you mean weird thing" Astraea said while narrowing her eyes on Bahamut.

"Ahem, nothing" Bahamut replied.

"Oh, we will be staying for the night, hope you don't mind?" Bahamut asked.

"It's fine" Astraea replied. After which they went to join the festivities of the night.

Meanwhile at the evilus base, the god Rudra was raging because of the losses that they had incurred.

"Erebus, what is the meaning of this, what about the plan. The damage caused to my familia and the Thanatos familia has been immense. Just what the hell are you doing" Rudra said in rage.

"I apologize for this but is the plan ready" Erebus briefly said an apology and moved on to the next plan.

"Tsk, yes it is" Rudra replied in a somewhat calmer tone.

"I see, then leave the rest to me" Erebus replied.

"Fine but don't waste it" Rudra said before leaving the room.

The next day at the Astraea familia manor, Ardee arrived to look for Ryuu as she had a promise to fulfil.

"Ryuu here, this is the item that I promised to give you" Ardee said. Ryuu was shocked and a bit embarrassed for disturbing Ardee's work the last time they met. She was also surprised that Ardee remembered.

What was given to her now was a branch from the sacred tree that Draco and the Ganesha familia had confiscated from the evilus base they raided a few days ago. After handing it to Ryuu Ardee quickly left because she had other work to do in the city.

"Thank you" Ryuu screamed at the departing figure of Ardee.

"Good for you Ryuu" Said a voice from behind her. She jumped forward in shock while letting out an unsightly squeal of terror.. She didn't feel the presence of anyone behind her so it was surprising.

"Good morning Ryuu" I greeted Ryuu. She was a bit embarrassed at being seen like this as her face turned red in shame. 'Omg that was so cute of her. She now looks like someone that would be fun to mess with' I thought sinisterly.

"G-good morning Draco" Ryuu managed to reply while putting on her mask to hide her face. She also failed to notice that others were watching from the side. They would have a lot of fun with this at her expense.

Meanwhile as Draco and the others were having fun amongst themselves, darker things were occurring in the dungeon.

Finn had sent an investigation team to the dungeon in the morning and the news they were about to bring would plunge Orario into chaos. Dark clouds were looming over Orario as their worst nightmare had yet to begin.
