Travelling to Hundred Miles city(1)

Cang Wuya and Fei Wuji were astonished to hear such praise from their old ancestor. Fei Mingzi, throughout his early years, had traveled all around the Greencloud continent and some parts of the Central Continent. It could be said that he had seen all kinds of geniuses, so for him to praise Fei Chen so highly could only mean that he was exceptional beyond a shadow of a doubt.

Fei Mingzi looked at his grandson and disciple, and looking at their shocked faces, he smiled calmly before turning toward Fei Chen.

"Chen'er, all I can say is you have an extraordinary physique and comprehension; it's like the most ideal physique for cultivating martial arts. As for how far you can unearth its potential, that is all up to you. Even with my knowledge of ancient scriptures, I cannot see through its limits."

Fei Chen, hearing his great-grandfather's words thought inwardly,

'The ideal physique for cultivating martial arts? The only reason I achieved this physique is because of the system. I don't think it should be possible to achieve this physique without a passive breathing technique or parallel thinking, even if I teach someone the same knowledge. The most they would achieve is an almost perfect foundation.'

Thinking until now, Fei Chen thought about writing down all his system knowledge regarding elementary breathing techniques and basic body tempering exercises and giving it to his family; they might be able to gain some insights even if they could not practice it.

Fei Chen's main goal in doing so was to help Fei Mingzi get some inspiration, which might allow him to step into the martial saint realm. He knew the old ancestor didn't have much lifespan left—maybe three or four decades—and if his understanding could help the old man live longer, he was more than happy to give it to him.

"Great-grandfather, now that I have reached Xiantian, can I travel outside?"

Fei Chen, after reaching Xiantian, was feeling a little impatient. He wanted to visit the Qing clan mountain in Hundred Miles City, which was situated in Cang Lan country, the extreme west of the Greencloud continent.

Fei Mingzi looked at his great-grandson and started thinking about how to answer his question; he always felt slightly guilty about forbidding Fei Chen from leaving the Heavenly Palace mountain, even though it was for his safety.

"Hmm, where do you want to go?"

"Uh, I want to go and visit Cang Lan country."

Hearing Fei Chen's reply, there was a strange look on everyone's face. All of them knew about Cang Lan country because it was the weakest of all the 81 countries on the Greencloud continent. For him to want to go there, all three men were curious.

"Is there any particular reason you want to go there?"

Fei Chen was also feeling awkward, and seeing the strange looks they were giving him, he couldn't say that he wanted to travel to the beginner village and get some cheats.

"I want to visit Cang Lan country first to gain experience."

Fei Mingzi also thought that sending Fei Chen there might be a good idea; doing so would also protect him from the enemy powers in the central region. He was not worried about Fei Chen's cultivation falling behind his peers; with his physique, he would never have to worry about that even if he were to live in the impoverished parts of the continent.

"Okay, but you will not be going alone." "I will appoint someone to accompany you."

Fei Chen nodded in acceptance; he knew he was still too weak to travel freely without any support.

The trio of Fei Chen, Fei Wuji, and Cang Wuya left the stone house. Upon reaching the family compound, Fei Chen excused himself, returning to his courtyard. He wanted to write down all his knowledge regarding the foundation techniques.

.....Scene Break.....

It has been a week since his talk with Fei Mingzi. Fei Chen had already written down all his system knowledge and handed it to his great-grandfather.

"Great-grandfather, this is all my insight regarding the Foundation Building Manual and Elementary Breathing Technique."

Fei Mingzi started looking through the scrolls; the more he looked, the more he felt astonished; his eyes were shining. Reading through all the insights, he felt that his comprehension was lacking; the scrolls gave him a new perspective regarding the spiritual qi and body tempering.

He looked at Fei Chen; all the suffering he endured throughout his life seemed worth it if that was all it took for him to have a descendant like him.

"Chen'er, thank you for this; after reading this, I might have a chance of reaching the martial saint realm."

Fei Mingzi warmly smiles at the young boy, seeing through his intentions quite easily. Fei Chen just laughed at his words.

"Hehehe, don't mention it, great-grandfather; after all, with a strong expert behind me, I can cause all the trouble I want."

Fei Mingzi started laughing out loud upon hearing his great-grandson's reasoning. He then looked at him, thinking about something.

"Do you want to give this to the Gongsun siblings?"

Fei Chen had thought about this issue; after all, he didn't have any siblings or cousins in his family, and the only people he knew that were around his age were the Gongsun Siblings. He could give them this technique; after all, they will be a part of Heaven's forces in the future. So the stronger they are, the more beneficial it is for him.

"Yes, they can practice the first two parts of the Foundation Building Manual."

Fei Mingzi nodded, satisfied with his answer, and then called out to his second disciple through his spiritual sense. Bai Gui, or Mao'er, as Fei Mingzi calls him in private, was an assassin, personally nurtured by Fei Mingzi since he was only four years old.

"Master, you called for me."

A skinny man with a head full of white hair appeared beside Heavenly Palace's old ancestor. It was impossible to guess his age; a few wrinkles on his face were marked by age. The man turned to look at Fei Chen, scrutinizing his features, his eyes showing shock and bewilderment.

"Mao'er, this is Wuji's son Fei Chen; you will go with him on his travels to Cang Lan country."
