14 Meeting The Wests

Well I guess they are shocked,

Joe regaining his wits asked suspiciously "how did you survive the explosion"

I was well prepared for this question to be asked and I told them of how I jumped of the building into the adjacent river just before the explosion and got swept away in the the undercurrents and how I was seriously injured and it took me 3 whole years to recover and come back to central city,

Well there were a few loopholes in my story but joe didn't pursue too much after that to my surprise, and we both seemed to have a tacit understanding in that moment. I guess only iris was surprised at my near death survival.

What chris didn't know was that joe liked chris's character due to zed martins case, thinking that there are very less young people out there who would sacrifice themselves for others, those kind of guys became a rarity for this world and joe is like genuinely happy for chris to be alive.

Joe "so it's good that you are back in one piece"

Chris "thank you detective, can you say about the casualties in yesterday's incident"

Joe " even the cops are unable to figure it out as of now but it should be around 15 to 20 people and many more in hospitals"

Chris "how come it's so low casualties"

Joe " haven't you heard of a vigilante in yesterday's events"

Chris "what vigilante" I acted surprised

Joe "the few people were saying they were saved by a guy in golden helmet and some are saying he's a hero the city needs"

I heaved a sigh of relief after hearing that the casualties are not too much but I must explore my powers more thouroughly to help more people in the future,

When I was conversing with joe iris suddenly asked me "chris will barry be really okay"

(IRIS POV)

Well after chris was thought dead 3 years back barry constantly talked to me about chris's good nature and believes in things which others would consider to be impossible and how chris was able to solve it despite others believe it to be nonsense. As i could remember back after zed was found, her case came as a huge shock to the CCPD and they kept the details of the case extremely secret as if it gets out there would be a public chaos. And i also saw how barry's belief in the impossible grew stronger after that case was solved back then. Even her father also had good impression of chris and maybe because of all this I also consider chris as a friend subconsciously even if we didn't meet before now.

Well I was surprised at iris calling at me casually but I still replied " well miss I know for sure that barry will come back to us in full health"

Iris" thank you and my name is iris west"

Chris "well glad to meet you miss iris , barry used to always talk about you"

After hearing about barry talking about her, iris was a little shy but quickly replied "you can call me iris and I also heard a lot about you from barry"

Chris " well I hope it's all good" then I laughed off to ease the tension in the air because of barry being unconscious"

Afterwards I consoled them saying nothing will happen to barry and everything will be okay , as we were conversing, three people entered the room a beautiful girl, a guy in a wheelchair and another short guy with long hair.

Meanwhile Somewhere else,

A girl quickly ran into a cabin office and pushed it open and hurriedly said

"laurel did you know a there is a hero in central city just like we have hood"

The girl sitting in the cabin was beautiful with blond hair and was graceful in her movements looked at the girl who barged into her office " janet how many times I have to tell you to knock before coming in"

"but there is a new hero like hood"

"janet I have told you before hood is not a hero"

The girl janet quickly turned on the tv in the cabin and the news was showing a guy in costume with a golden helmet helping people during the explosion

Janet "see I told you he is a new hero , people call him the golden man" she was proud as if it was her there

After watching the figure in the news laurel immediately stood up straight from her chair and gasped "dr fate"
