11 Moved out

By the next morning, I woke late almost in the noon, Clara and Theo had gotten from the bed. Huh? They didn't wake me up? I got up from my bed and I could feel the muscles sore from all around my body.

The day when I fought The Dark Two-Tailed Wolves still had its effects on me. I need to work out these little small and weak limbs of mine. I walked past the bed and went straight to the door.  I could hear a lively sound from the living room. There seem to be a lot of people in the house.

[Trace]

Ezra scrutinizes his house. There were 6 people but their mana is not that strong to compare with Andrew. He opened the door and found that most of them were men around his father age and were schlepping their furniture and wrapped boxes.

"Hi, good morning little child!" a woman who wore a long jacket with dark skinny jean came to me and greet me. She lowered herself until her eyes were parallel to mine.

I responded, "Hi, good morning…mmm." I'm not sure how to refer to her as who.  She seems to be around Katelyn's age.

"You can just call me Mrs Goodwill." She pushed her glasses and stood up. "come here, I walk you to your mommy." She extended her hands. Her cheeks raise and blush a faint red. She took my hand gently and step toward the front door. Hah, I put a smug face on. I never had a chance to see my reflection but based on many adults reaction from seeing me including her, its seems like I have a very good-looking, adorable and charming face. In the past life, I guess I was slightly above average at most.

The worst part is… hey don't hold it too tight, my hand is still fragile.

I can walk by myself but since she had already grabbed my hand there is no use to oppose it anymore. By the way, I was looking for Theo and Clara, where did both of them go to and why are these people here? When we were outside of the house, there were three carriages. Andrew and Katelyn were talking with our neighbours. After that, the men carried some of the boxes and crates from our house and put them inside the carriages.

Maybe I know what is going on now.

Then, my mother called me. "Ezra, good morning. Come here and greet Mr and Mrs Laurey." I didn't realize it was them. They were very friendly towards us. They always give presents for my birthday, especially this blue pyjamas that I am wearing right now, it was very comfortable.

Mrs Goodwill and I walked toward them. "Good morning, Mr and Mrs Laurey." They live next door. They didn't have a child. I think that was probably the reason they care about me like their own son. A good neighbour is a great blessing. I never had the experience to have a neighbour because in my previous life, I was just a wandering traveller, an adventurer, and was been taken care of by my master and we live far away from the city. Anyway, it was such a good thing to have for this second life of mine. I do wish to repay them something. How can I repay such a kindly neighbour? May God bless them!

"Good morning to Ezra, you have grown bigger. I'm happy you still wear those clothes that we gave you."

Then, they continued their conversation with my parent. Still, the real question in my head is where did Theo and Clara disappear? I tilted my head from every angle to look for them. Katelyn realized what I was doing. "Are you looking for Theo and Clara, Ezra?" I nodded. "Both of them went around the village to say goodbye to them. You should do it too, we are going to move to the city tomorrow."

Oh, I see, I was right… that's why there were these people here. They were here to carry our things and furniture to the city.

"The woman who was holding your hand is a friend of mom. She was the one who helped us with the settlement In the city. Mom met her yesterday. You should give her thanks."

I turned my body toward her and slightly bowed down. "Thank you, Mrs Goodwill."

"Awww, how adorable. Your welcome."

Then, my tummy growl. I was flustered, it made a raucous sound. Katelyn picked me up and went into the house to bathe me and feed me. I looked at both of them. They waved their hands to me, I replied the same way.

Haaa! I don't want them to treat me like a child but since I was still in this body I have to endure it a few more years.

.......

After I had my morning bath and breakfast, Theo and Clara already came home. They had met all the villagers and had settled down the rumours about them. The people were scared of them because of the curse energy that they had emitted ever since the first day they came. For now, they still have the mark but I already hid the presence of it. However, despite the rumours, Katelyn and Andrew still want to help them. They are a good person at heart.

Then, it was my turn to go and say goodbye to the people in this village. I went to all the houses but not once I met Jack and his friends. Maybe they didn't want to see me. Well, that's a good thing too. I also didn't want to meet those spoiled brats.

After I had said my 'adieu' to all of them, I went home. Almost all the things had been moved into the carriages. The house became vacant, only the beds were left. At first, I thought that we were going to move after finished vacating the furniture but I was wrong. Since we had done with it almost in the evening, it is not safe to travel now because we halfway, it will be night time and it was risky to travel at night. The journey might take half a day so we decided to move into the city tomorrow morning.

I was still checking the desolate house. Then, the room next to the reading room that was always locked was opened. I had always wondered about the room but never had the chances to ask my parent. Sometimes I also passed over to ask them.

I infiltrated the room. It was dingy and dusty, where is the switch? Oh never mind I couldn't reach it. No, wait I can. I used wind pressure to press the switch to turn it on.

*Click

The light turned on and… there was nothing left other than an empty shelf rack. Well, that was because everything had already packed into the carriages. Then, I saw something glitter and sparkle under the shelf rack. I tried to take a look.

Huh? What is this?

It was a silver ring that has a tiny red jewel on top of it. It was a storage ring. I used to have this to store up my equipment and loots that I got from entering a dungeon. It was a very useful item to have. If I remember it correctly it was a high-cost item. The cheapest ones are about 5 golds I guess.

1 Platinum Coin = 100 Gold Coins

1 Gold = 100 Silver Coins

1 Silver = 100 Copper Coins

I need to keep it. Did they didn't spot it under the shelf rack? Then Andrew came into the room and stupefied my thought. "Hey, son what are you doing here?"

Absolutely not keeping anything to myself, hehehe. I swivelled around and slid the ring inside my pocket. "There is nothing left in this room, dad already sold the artefacts and items that dad got from being an adventurer."

When he said that I was lost at words, I should have examine this room. Who knew Andrew might have bartered high-grade items. At least he didn't find this ring, this was valuable to be sell. Afterwards, I was imprisoned to listen to his adventure's story. At the end of it, I had to listen to it for almost 2 hours. He even told me about how he met Katelyn at a surprising place. The library, but of course because she worked there. However, the unexpected things were how did he end up there? He never had any interest in books.

Maybe this is what they call it fate encounter. Love does work in weird ways. I want to train my magic that day but I had fallen asleep because of Andrew.

The next day I woke up, we are readying ourselves for the journey to Rura City.

I can't wait to see the city, how much have it deviates? The only changes that I knew were that there are Magic Academy. I wonder what are the unique things that I didn't have in my past life?
