54 Chapter 54 - Sacred-Blood Merchant

Author's Guilty Note: My apologies for the delay in posting the chapters. I got sick because I ended up eating some ice cream (yeah, my immune system is crap). Besides the flu headache, my city seems to be cursed by the fires of hell and the lowest temperature is 38°C.

Anyway, I owe you a few chapters and I will write them with more dedication! Enjoy reading!

Upon returning to Steel Armor Shelter, the arrival of the three groups caused a significant commotion, signifying the complete success of the hunt. Furthermore, witnessing the apparent increase in strength among the returnees, those who had not been given the opportunity to participate were filled with envy.

After they separated upon arrival, Han Sen returned to the operations base, while Lin Beifeng went back to the Alliance to gather information on Son of Heaven's movements. He had also spoken to Jade before, telling that she could trust the son of the Lin Family, and she understood what to do with that.

Shortly after, Lin Beifeng returned with news.

"Your family is fine and there has been no attempt against them. I also received insider information from the Ning Family, and they are unusually quiet, probably because the assassination attempt of the Son of Heaven was uncovered, and they don't want to confront the Alliance. But it is still possible that they may come after you." Lin Beifeng said everything he could, and any additional information beyond that was either irrelevant or difficult to gather.

"As long as my family is well, the rest is the least of my concerns. If I were involved in this alone, they might try something. But since they know that Qin Xuan is involved, they don't want to risk the Qin Family coming knocking on their doors." Han Sen also relied on the fact that he had never directly confronted Son of Heaven enough to publicly humiliate him.

They had never even touched each other, so it was impossible for the Starry Group to hear the commands of their CEO's crazy son. Besides some exchanged insults, it was obvious that they had never antagonized each other enough to allow actions that could harm the Group in the Stock Market.

"We will still keep an eye on him. Mrs. Luo (Han Sen's mother) is still in the Sanctuary of God, so we don't know the exact status. But according to the guards we hired to watch over her, she is fine and safe. As for the possible evolution of the Son of Heaven, I think it's difficult since he still lacks some points." Since taking on the role of vice-leader of Elysium, Lin Beifeng has been studying how to properly manage a group, including information gathering and other things.

"Well, it's good to know that. You can go take care of other things." Han Sen dismissed his friend/walking piggy bank, as he didn't want to hear about this matter anymore.

Son of Heaven was considered nothing more than a controlled variable. If he dared to make any move, his family would certainly not allow it. And relying on others to do it would be even more madness. Nevertheless, he would still keep an eye on it. The only thing he could lose at this moment was his sister and mother, while the rest mattered little, as they could defend themselves or really had no importance at all.

"And after Jade gets the new business up and running, it will be impossible for Starry Group to make a move so lightly." Also thinking about his business abroad, he concluded that it was indeed impossible for him to be affected by what happened, "But it is still better to be safe than sorry. If possible, I will still kill him anyway."

With that resolved, Han Sen left the Elysium Operations Base and began walking through the Shelter. What he was looking for, or rather, who he was looking for, should be somewhere around here. And it was exactly the young man who had followed his group here.

He didn't know how to better name his ability that he gained from the Void Space, a name he decided to give to his millennia-old prison, which provided a very precise sense of the soul. That was what made him consume Han Sen's soul in the first place, as he could sense that it had a greater volume and strength than others. And for the first time since he arrived here, he felt a second time a soul that seemed strong enough to enter his senses. And since it was his first experience with this, he didn't know if it came from personal strength or pure potential.

Walking and thinking about it, Han Sen entered the local shelter market and began to analyze the things that were there. Considering the huge backpack the guy had on his back, it was quite possible that he was there. And despite having Elysium to search for him, he didn't want to use his group for such basic things.

And in no time, he found him. He really seemed interested in selling things, and the huge backpack he had seemed to have turned into a thick carpet that was under the products he sold, and he had also put on a strange type of tunic to cover his torso. And the number of people around him sort of indicated the quality of the products as well.

"Boss, how much does that Gear over there cost?" One of the potential buyers pointed to a type of white sword that seemed to be made of bone. It was very simple and everyone thought it must be a gear that some mutant creature had dropped.

"Two Sacred-Blood Beast Souls!" The redhead raised two fingers to the buyer, who immediately made a disgusted face as if they had eaten shit.

"Two Sacred-Blood Beast Souls for a Mutant Gear? Are you crazy? Even if it was a Sacred-Blood Gear, it wouldn't have been worth it!" Complaining as always, the customer provoked anger in people nearby, and they looked at the redhead's products with a little less appreciation.

"Take it or leave it." The redhead smiled at his customer and didn't insist on the sale. He knew the quality of his products, and it would be impossible to sell them for less than that.

"So why don't you stick that up your-" The customer was about to draw his alloy sword when a tall figure passed by him. And when he saw the beautiful black armor that covered his body, he ended up swallowing his words.

"I am interested in the sword. Do you have anything else to sell?" Han Sen asked after analyzing the sword for a while. And he knew it was worth it since it was a Sacred-Blood Gear.

"Han Sen!!"

"Is it really Han Sen? The leader of Elysium?"

"Oh man, I think we just lost the Gear. If he's interested in it, then it must really be worth the value..."

"And do you have two Sacred-Blood Beast Souls to spend, jerk?"

"You're the jerk!"

While everyone around was impressed with the presence of the new star of Steel Armor Shelter, Baldur (the redhead) was looking at his new client with interest in his eyes. It was both an interest in the other party's judgment ability, as well as an interest in the reactions of the people around.

'This guy seems powerful. I hope he's not like those idiots from Faith Shelter...' While thinking about his past experiences with the "young masters," Baldur responded to his question, "I have some Beast Souls to sell, but I believe it would cause a great commotion if I showed them."

"So we can make a private contract. You are interested in selling, and I am interested in buying. How about it?" Han Sen smiled at him, wanting to know what those powerful Beast Souls were that could cause a commotion here.

"I am looking forward to your purchase then." Baldur picked up his backpack from the ground and assembled it in a way that it looked exactly as before. And he clearly didn't forget his fishing rod.

"And so, what are the powerful Beast Souls that you have for sale?" Han Sen once again used the famous tea houses to have a peaceful conversation with Baldur. They had already introduced themselves, so only the buying process remained.

"The reason they are shocking is not because of their absurd power, but for another reason." Baldur revealed a mysterious smile as three Beast Souls appeared in his hand, still not materialized, but their shape was perfect. "Well, you can see for yourself the reason."

"Ah, now I understand." Han Sen chuckled a bit as he looked at the three materialized beasts, and truly felt that they would cause a commotion. At the same time, he also looked at Baldur and recognized that either the guy was crazy or very strong to get his hands on this.

The three Sacred-Blood Beast Souls were respectively a Furry White Bear, Glass Monarch Butterfly, and what seemed to be a quite charming Mermaid Queen. The reason they could cause a commotion is precisely their appearances, which seemed to have been made to be used by women. And when the girls found out about this, especially the wealthier ones, they would give all their money to buy them, and men would give up all their belongings to buy this for their girlfriends.

Although in the Sanctuary of God there is no such thing as "made for men" or "made for women", there were some Beast Souls that indeed suited one gender more than the other, judging purely based on aesthetics. For example, the Mermaid Queen, which already carries a feminine name, would be much more suitable for a woman than a man. And if have to fit even better, there would have to be the Mermaid King for men.

The Furry White Bear and the Glass Monarch Butterfly were an armor and wings respectively, and both also seemed to carry a design more appealing to women's fashion. And if you had to choose, who wouldn't want a Beast Soul that suited you more and was as powerful as any other?

"What price do you charge? I'll let you have the advantage with this." Han Sen knew that it was pointless to try to bargain with certain people, so he let him set the price. Besides that one of the Beast Souls was humanoid, only those who made the sacrifice of conquest could determine the value of their products.

"If you have a Beast Soul that pleases me, I could consider the trade. I don't like money, but meat is also a good option. As for the Gear, any Sacred-Blood Beast Soul will do." Having no interest in money or low-quality meat, Baldur knew that the man in front of him would have to offer something of equal value if he wanted to buy his products.

Han Sen remained silent when he heard what he said, without giving an immediate response. To be quite honest, none of these products interested him in the least, as he had his own way of becoming powerful. But that doesn't mean he wouldn't buy it for Qin Xuan, a woman he knows wants to be by his side.

It would be a waste to let an opportunity like this pass, as it would make her stronger and more reliant on him. And when he needed her to do something for him, regardless of what it was, she would have to do it. Dirty tactics? Yes, but he was still in the process of improving.

"I have a better proposal for you." After thinking for a while, Han Sen smiled. He didn't want to reveal his immense arsenal or how many resources he could have. That's why he came up with a better idea.

"And what would that be?" Baldur became interested. As a merchant, he enjoyed a good business war.

"Join my group and I can give all this to you. Additionally, we can form a business contract that leaves you free from obligations, while I have a free choice in the products you purchase. Therefore, you would gain strong support, free meat, and a business opportunity that you will never regret." Han Sen said what he wanted to say, and continued with a smile when he saw Baldur deeply thinking about it.

"Well..." Baldur thought for a moment and felt a bit strange about this counter-proposal. After calculating for a while, he decided to speak.

"I have an additional condition for this."
