10 Chapter 10 - Beast Souls Mutation & Provocations

As the Beast Souls began to appear in front of him, Han Sen was being covered by his new mutant armor.

As if it were the skin of a crocodile, a complete suit of gray metal armor covered his body. What appeared to be a mixture of scales and smooth skin also had various protruding spikes, which made the armor even more menacing. With an addition that was not present in previous armors, a helmet covered Han Sen's head, but it did not have the effect of disguising his identity like the golden armor. And last but not least, a dark black stripe descended from the top of his head to the base of his spine, where a dangerous tail was being built. When the tail reached about one and a half meters, it stopped growing and began to sway, as if he was fully in control of it. This was the complete transformation of the Black Spine Crocodile Armor.

The other five Beast Souls entered the armor, and some things changed in it when its belt, which was inside the armor, became more visible and the two dagger sheaths could be seen, and it already looked like two deadly weapons were sheathed there. Han Sen then looked at his wrists, where he could see the equipment that hid his throwing knives. He had bought it recently.

"Let's see how my babies are doing..." Han Sen was excited to see how his daggers turned out. Whether he wanted it or not, he had created a special bond with them and they were very important to him. With his ability to improve them to the best of it, it wasn't hard to imagine him keeping them for the longest time possible.

Pulling his daggers from their sheaths, he took one in each hand and began to analyze the differences.

About the Sharp Mandible Ant, it was necessary to say that it looked nothing less than deadly. Although it didn't gain any special properties from its mutation, it was possible to notice that the bronze tone of the weapon disappeared, being replaced by a complete and dangerous silver. Its size grew to about 45 cm, with 30cm being just the blade. Its design also improved and someone would say from afar that this dagger was a powerful thing. The handle was also extremely pleasing, being modified to fit perfectly in Han Sen's hands.

Your other dagger, the Big Tail Scorpion, lost its blue color and was starting to turn into a purplish-gray tone. Unlike its sister, which only became sharper and more powerful, it was possible to see a small liquid running from the tip to the base of the blade's edge, clearly indicating that it was no longer a simple weapon and could now produce some interesting toxins. Han Sen did not know the danger of that poison, but it was certainly not something that anyone would want to try. It was only 40cm long, with a 25cm blade and a 15cm handle, which was also suitable for Han Sen.

Putting them back into the sheath, he made a quick movement of his wrists and the three throwing knives appeared in his hands. Each one seemed to have remained the same size of 15cm, with a 10cm blade and a 5cm metal handle.

The Sharp-Tailed Otter, just like his first dagger, only seemed to have become much sharper and its hardness increased significantly, which means it was suitable for hitting enemies with strong defense.

The Blue Mouth Snake was like his other dagger, which expelled venom from its tip and was perhaps as deadly, to be used on enemies who had high vitality and resistance.

And for his last throwing knife, Red Salamander, Han Sen looked at it and at the wall of his room, which had some sort of painted target. In a quick motion, he threw the knife and something incredible happened. With a mixture of friction and speed, some kind of substance was ignited on the knife and it started to catch fire during its trajectory! As soon as it hit the bullseye, it continued to burn uninterrupted!

"Damn..." Han Sen ripped it off the wall and put it back on his wrist accessories. The tail behind him swayed calmly, like a silent weapon waiting to be used. Looking at how amazing everything looked, his heart skipped a few beats as he imagined how he would be in the future, "This shit is going to be incredible!"

Han Sen just returned to his room and threw a bag on the floor. He also carried a glass box in his other hand, which looked more like a kind of aquarium.

Thud!

"Ssss!" With a strange whistle, a small snake escaped from the bag and jumped to attack Han Sen in the same instant. This showed how creatures instinctively only thought about attacking, just like humans.

"Easy there, sweetheart..." Han Sen grabbed the snake instantly, his hand equipped with the armor arm while the rest was not. It was something he had learned to do, partial use of armor. But it only worked with the armor, for obvious reasons.

Grabbing the snake, Han Sen took out his black crystal from his pocket and shoved it down the its throat, which swallowed it without knowing what it was. But a primal instinct in the snake made it seem like it had swallowed the best thing in the world. He then walked over to his bed and placed the glass box on top, tossing the snake inside and closing the lid. He made sure to put some meat in there too, so as not to starve the creature to death.

"Well, now you just need to grow up properly so I can use you. Understand?" Han Sen looked at the small snake inside. "I'll let you grow into a super beast, and only then I will kill you."

This snake, while not large in size, had a powerful venom. It was a primitive beast that had already killed many people with swift surprise attacks, and its Pet Beast Soul was highly valued by some assassins. This was what influenced him to choose it to use the crystal, since the beasts were weaker and smaller than their wild counterparts, he took the smallest possible animal and would cultivate it to the Super tier. It wouldn't grow much, and since it was already at the primitive level, it would take at least one day less to evolve to the Sacred Blood tier. He couldn't quite remember how long it took to reach the Super tier, but it would happen sooner or later.

"If I focus on hunting Mutant and Sacred-Blood Creatures, it will take me a while to fill everything. They are very rare and I have to be lucky to find others that were not introduced in the first few months here. But, the important thing is to try." Han Sen knew that it would take less time to fill his points, thanks to his cooking skills and superior strength, but it would still be time-consuming. Not to mention the Super Gene points, which were even rarer. He would spend a lot of time in this First Sanctuary.

With his ordinary clothes now, which were far from ordinary in the monetary sense of the word, he walked to the teleportation portal with the intention of going home. He was tired and wanted to start the search for mutant beasts tomorrow. He needed to rest a little with his family now.

At the moment he was approaching, a group of people started to leave the portal. And it was a group that Han Sen was not very friendly with. They were Son of A Whore and Luo Tianyang, his personal ass-kisser, and some other thugs from his gang.

At the moment when their eyes met, both knew it wasn't going to end well. Even so, Han Sen continued walking towards the portal, as it was the only way out of there.

"Tianyang!" Son of A Shit immediately ordered his subordinate, as he didn't want to dirty his hands with lowly scum. Furthermore, if Qin Xuan found out that he personally killed the boy, his chances with her would be completely ruined. Little did he know that they didn't even exist in the first place.

"Don't worry." As a personal secretary, Luo Tianyang was aware of his grudge with this boy, so he immediately took out a Beast Soul of a poisonous dagger and silently hid it behind him.

The moment the two met, he made his move, quick and silent like an assassin in the shadows. He didn't know why, but a gust of wind suddenly passed by his face and everyone except him saw as Han Sen suddenly disappeared.

Swoosh!

He hit nothing but air when he felt a movement in his legs, but his mind didn't think fast enough. His body involuntarily moved forward and to the floor. A sarcastic voice sounded behind all of them.

"Watch out for your foot, jerk."

Bang!

~º~

Han Sen had just arrived at the corner of his house when he saw a group of people surrounding his house. He could hear their conversation from here, so he did not stop his steps.

"Luo Sulan, would you like to take possession of the old family house that belonged to the Hans? This house originally belonged to our parents and each of my two elder brothers and I own a part of it. However, my eldest brother has passed away. Since you are a widow, we won't treat you unfairly and will leave you his share. However, please note that we won't agree if you wish to take over everything."

"That's right!" said a middle-aged man. "The old house has always been our parents' inheritance, and we all have a right to it. You can't keep it for yourselves. Your family has been living here for more than 20 years, so you've already taken advantage of us in a big way. It's time to divide the inheritance."

"My brother has said it," a soft male voice continued. "You lived in the old house for over 20 years. We won't collect rent, but this old house is our inheritance and must be divided."

A young woman's voice could be heard saying, "We received an estimate from a lawyer, and this old house is now worth more than three million dollars. Since there are three households, we should each get a million dollars. You can either give each of us a million and own this old house outright, or sell the house and split the money equally among us. We are okay with either option you choose."

"Exactly. Now that our eldest brother is gone, we won't bully his widow and kids. You can give us money or sell the house, as you like," the harsh first voice repeated.

"Okay, we will buy the house." Han Sen had just entered the courtyard when his indifferent voice interrupted his mother, who was about to speak, with tears in her eyes and holding Han Yan close to her.

With his voice echoing in the area, all of his aunts and uncles turned in shock.

"What did you say??"
