1 Chapter 1 - Reincarnation of the Lost Cultivator

Lying in bed in a rather funny position, a young man with asian features, but not as delicate as one, suddenly woke up feeling a tremendous headache.

"AAH!" The noise he made was not enough to escape the room, so even if there was someone at home, no one heard it.

The headache intensified when suddenly everything stopped and the young man was half on the floor and half on the bed. Some kind of fusion process happened in his mind when he suddenly opened his eyes.

"Damn, I didn't know it hurt so much..." The young man got up calmly, still feeling a little dizzy. Looking around and seeing that he was in a strange, dark room as it was night, a smile appeared on his face. "So it worked, huh..."

The young man who awakened was no longer the same as the one who slept. Not to say that he was replaced, two souls were merged into one, making the main bearer's soul even more powerful. Somewhere, that young man still existed, but he would soon disappear too, and his essence would pass to another empty soul and reincarnate.

"If I knew I needed to spend millennia to achieve this, I would have tried harder. My soul strength has increased so much that it's ridiculous." Feeling that his senses were sharper and there was even a hint of soul sense, he almost cursed himself.

Yu Tang, the name of the current body's possessor, was an unparalleled genius who emerged in his world after many years, a world full of modern cultivation, with technology and power everywhere. Blessed by the heavens with unsurpassed intelligence and magnificent discernment ability, he climbed to the top of the world at just 20 years old. It was a pity that he did not know that there were higher worlds.

Suddenly seized by an unknown force, he found himself in a dark and lifeless place with only his own mind to occupy. His existence became empty, with a body that would not die no matter how hard he tried and a brain that would not rest no matter how many months he stayed awake. Trapped for an unknown amount of time, he gradually became aware of a strange type of energy that permeated that space, as if they were lines passing through his body.

With what he imagined to be millennia of practice, he discovered that those were soul threads that connected to every living being in the universe, or even something greater. With some more practice time, he began to distinguish each thread and felt himself being pulled by them, as if something was pushing him. Determined to try and see if he could leave this place, he went after the thickest and brightest thread he could find, belonging to a human. He didn't want to reincarnate as a powerful tree or a super dog.

"Well, my soul was strengthened quite a bit during that time, and that guy's soul is powerful. I could imagine that I have the same strength of soul as five or six people. I hope you have a great life ahead of you, young man." He wasn't at all worried that he stole someone's opportunity. Just as the soul inhabits the body, the essence inhabits the soul. What reincarnates is the essence, something indestructible and eternal in every living being.

The flow of information he obtained from this other young man was quite interesting. His name was Han Sen, he had just turned 16 and the universe he lived in was something fantastic.

Apparently, some centuries ago, humans were able to make an interdimensional space trip that didn't quite work out. What they discovered was a magical world full of deadly creatures, a jungle in the worst sense of the word. Furthermore, no modern equipment worked there, not even a flashlight. After some time, they discovered that by killing these beasts and feeding on them, they could gain strength and power, as well as some beast souls that would do amazing things for them.

"Well, it seems to be a good world. I have to strengthen myself, I don't know if I'll be sucked back to that place again. Whoever put me there, I'm going to make sure to kill them!"

With controlled anger, Yu Tang, now Han Sen, turned on the lights in the room and went to stand in front of a mirror to evaluate his body. Taking off his shirt and shorts, he looked at himself closely and saw that it was not a bad body.

"It seems like the guy trained well, even though I feel like there are some deficiencies. But it's okay, everything will be fixed with time." Putting his clothes back on, he turned off the lights and went back to bed.

Rereading all the memories he had now, he saw how fragile this guy's family was, and surely problems were to come.

"Since the essence only goes away after an agreement, I promise to take good care of your family. But that's it, I have nothing to do with your father going to buy milk." Han Sen closed his eyes and used his own essence to communicate with the old Han Sen. After some soul murmurs, the guy went away to have fun in another universe.

All settled for now!

Waking up suddenly, Han Sen watched with half-open eyes as the door to his room opened and a mature woman and a little girl entered with a cake, some candles on top illuminating the darkness of the room.

"Big brother! Wake up!" The little girl, who must have been his younger sister, called out to him as she held the heavy cake with the help of her mother.

"Your brother is tired, we should-" When his mother saw that he wasn't waking up, she decided to come back later when he woke up.

But suddenly a hand grabbed hers from under the cake, and she saw Han Sen smiling at them with a bright smile.

"No need, mom. Thank you for the cake!" His heart warmed up a little with this woman's demonstration of affection. Even though he was no longer essentially her son, there was still something about this kind of connection. His soul and body came from this woman, so he should be filial to her like a normal son.

"Blow out the candles and make a wish, big bro!" His little sister, Han Yan, was turning red from the heat of the candles and the effort of holding the cake.

"Sure thing, little one!" Han Sen messed up her hair and blew out the candles, making more than one wish. He had too many desires to waste on just one birthday.

This kind of event was something he almost forgot existed, but it helped him remember his previous world and how things were there. Along with his lost memories came even more important knowledge.

After the candles were blown out, his mother handed him a large box, clearly wrapped by her with all the love she could muster.

"As much as I've convinced you otherwise, I know you're stubborn like your father. So take this to protect yourself." Luo Sulan was shedding some tears at the thought of letting her son enter that place of wild beasts that was the Sanctuary of God, but she had to do her best as a mother.

"Thank you, Mom," Han Sen got up from bed, carrying the cake and giving his mother a hug. This kind of affection was something that seemed to soothe the lost soul of his past origins. Spending millennia without this kind of emotion was a hellish torture in itself.

Afterwards, he ate his cake with his cute little sister and his mother. It was a huge exception to consume sugar in the morning, and that's why Han Yan seemed like she was going to burst with joy.

'Maybe I've had more luck than expected…'

"So this is the world from one of the famous novels in my past world, huh... I don't know how many young people chose to leave the path of cultivation to dive into these fictional stories." Remembering his past world, Han Sen was on the train heading towards God's Sanctuary, and that's what he had remembered yesterday.

As a great cultivator, he sometimes read these things to vent the stress of constantly cultivating. As he had just reincarnated, he didn't remember much from before, but now he recalled that this was one of the stories. He didn't read much, just the beginning before giving up and returning to cultivating.

But he remembered that there was a very rare item that the previous Han Sen would receive in three months, and it was worth paying attention to.

"Anyway, let's go." Arriving at a Guard Post, he saw the large teleportation portal that would take him to the Sanctuary of God. Admiring all this technology far beyond that of his past world, Han Sen entered the portal after undergoing the necessary age verification.

As soon as he stepped his foot and crossed to the other side, a powerful and unrecognizable voice echoed in his brain.

⌠Super GOD System Successfully Integrated!⌡
