Chapter 61 - A Wild Contractee Appears [2]

A/N: Making a new novel with a pretty cool premise, stay tuned.

A gate. That was what Demon's used to manifest their bodies in this world. Gates were essentially a tear between space-time that bridged our worlds together.

They were something that the world vehemently rejected. Thus, a Demon needed to be quite powerful to fully manifest their body as they needed to overcome the world itself to do that. However, the world really only acted when a Demon tried to fully manifest in an attempt to conserve power.

The world also made an attempt to stop any powerful Demon's from forging a contract as a Contractee that served a Demon Lord would be impossibly powerful.

Because of that, Demon's could partially manifest without facing too many repercussions. However, Demon's didn't usually go out of their way to offer contracts. That was because creating a gate was when they were at their weakest, of course they were fine after making a gate, but just before making a gate was when they were at their weakest.

So, they had to be very careful as to when they created a gate. After all, Demon's were willing to kill each other for personal gain. In that sense, they weren't too different to the people in this world. In any case, because of the danger that came with creating gates, they were fairly reserved when it came to creating them.

However, when a situation like this arose, a situation where they could guarantee a Contractee, they took the risk that came with opening a gate.

A Contractee was granted power in exchange for their servitude. Interestingly, the power granted to a Contractee didn't come from the Demon. Instead, it was more like they were given power as a result of turning into a Contractee.

When a person became a Contractee, their physiology slowly changed and eventually they would use Demonic Energy, the same way Demon's did. This change in physical structure made thems stronger.

'But, the one infront of me won't be very strong.'

And so, from the black gate, a hand was extended. The hand grasped the face of the young man, the hand was grey and had long, sharp nails. The nails dug into the boy's skin, drawing blood.

'A demonic contract isn't physical, but a deal between two souls. I guess this is how they make their contracts.'

Soon after, the hand was retracted and the gate closed. The Demonic Energy that had once shrouded this place was no longer here. All that could be seen, was a young man on his knees.

And with that, I stood up.

"Ignition."

Once I had activated Ignition, I began to use Arcane Magic to strengthen my body. Then, to further enhance myself, I used Blood Strength.

Blood Strength was what I was going to call the physical enhancement that was derived from altering the circulation of my blood.

And so, I flew towards the senior who had just abandoned humanity. My four fists were coated in ferocious, white flames that emited no smoke and burnt with silent fury.

'Control. Control the flames.'

As my four fists rapidly the second year, he turned around and dodged each and every one of my punches.

As I crashed into the ground, the man leapt into the air and used Wind Magic to maneuver himself away from me.

'Wind Magic... Is he a single attribute Awakened?'

Once he landed, I closed the distance between and threw a punch at him. He raised his arms and managed to block my attack, however, he had failed to account for my other arm. And so, my blazing fist connected with his stomach.

The white flames didn't spread from my hand to his body, if I had let them rampage like that, then this fight would've been over way too quickly. This fight was a way for me learn how to fight with all of my abilities activated.

I wouldn't get an opportunity to fight with Ignition for the foreseeable future. So, I needed to make sure I was capable of controlling it.

And so, I began to increase the output of my divine flames.

'Let's see how well I can control them at a higher output...'
