Chapter 12- Main Quest

[New Quest Added]

[Main Quest]

[Difficulty: SSS]

Description: a Quest that chances the entire server. You can share this with 4 friends at the most.

[Quest Objective: Listen to Seraphine]

"A Main Quest!!?" Vincent was astonished. Not even in his previous life he had the opportunity to get a Main Quest.

These were extremely difficult Quests, but they granted the player a nice sum of rewards. There was also the fact that these Quests changed the entire server. Vincent remember that a player had completed a Main Quest that unlocked a whole new game expansion, that was crazy.

Vincent stared at the beauty in front of him, listening to what she had to say. The player that got this Quest before didn't share much information about it, so it was all new to Vincent.

"Adventurer, could you please hear the story of this young lady?" Seraphine asked.

"Of course," Vincent replied.

"It's a long story. Would you please sit down?" she pointed at a wooden chair and said, "it is not that comfortable but it's the only chair I got," she chuckled.

"No problem," Vincent didn't mind sitting on that chair. He had been through worse.

"All right, how can I begin?" Seraphine pondered for a moment before starting to spit out a lot of information.

"I'm actually the elven princess," she started out with a bomb.

"Wh--WHAT?" Vincent didn't expect that. He knew that the spell he was after came from the elves, but no one had ever found one, at least it was not shared within the forum.

"Shocking, right? There is something even more shocking than that. I'm dying," she looked down after saying it.

"You know that elves have a long lifespan, so you're probably wondering how I'm dying."

Vincent stayed quiet. Her speech would certainly contain crucial information.

"I'm dying because I've been infected by the darkness. There are demons lurking around in this world, and they are cruel," she seemed enraged by what theses demons had done to her.

"My people ran away, hiding from them. I didn't,"

"Why didn't you go with them?" Vincent asked.

"I couldn't. I'm infected with something only deadly to elves, and I would only infect all of my family," her eyes softened and she seemed like crying.

"Is there something I can help you with?" Vincent said the classic line hoping for the quest to continue.

"There is actually. I need you to obtain information about theses demons. If you manage to find out something about my family or how to cure my illness, I would certainly reward you."

"This is a difficult task. That's why I'm giving you a spell that only the most powerful elves know. I'm sharing this to you because I feel you are the right one."

Seraphine's hand shined with a blinding light, she then tossed it towards Vincent's mind. System notifications appeared right after.

"Hahahaha. The skill I was waiting, and also a Title, that's awesome. I don't know where to start looking for informations though. Well, I'll found out later on." Vincent thought.

The Main Quest didn't reward Vincent with XP. It probably would after he completed this next objective. It didn't matter that much as he got what he wanted, the Shape-shifting skill.

He said goodbye to Seraphine and left. Vincent now had three main objectives in mind.

First, reach level 10 before everyone else and reach the big city.

Secondly, earn money. Vincent didn't want real life money at that moment. He knew that the gold coins would rise in price. He needed in game coins so that he could build is potion shop at the city. That would grant him a lot of income, both in game and in real life.

Vincent's third objective was to create his own guild. This would take some time and a lot of preparation to make it right. He also needed the money first to create the guild's foundation.

"Let's test out this Shape-shifting skill."

Vincent waved his hands, following the pattern that was carved inside his mind. He succeeded in his first try, probably due to Seraphine's help by sending the knowledge directly inside his mind.

First he changed his nickname back to white, hiding the red name he got after killing everyone. Vincent decided to also change his appearance. He wanted to keep his identity as The Seer a secret, creating another identity. Now The Seer wouldn't be a beautiful youth but one bearded man. Vincent thought that it matched more with his personality as a wise man that knew a lot about the game.

He kept the same appearance he had, only changing his nickname now to Vincent.

"I truly wanted for people to see me in the streets and say, "oh The Seer you're awesome," but I can't defend myself alone at this stage of the game, so keeping a low profile for now is a wise choice." Vincent thought he was doing the right thing.

After fighting endlessly back at that cave, Vincent was now without potions.

"It is finally time to go back to the village."
