37 Hiruzen put in his place

Kakashi knew that the village will not help look for Rin as she is only a chunin and went to look for me. He entered the Senju compound and knocked the door of my house. Tsunade opened the door and welcomed him inside. "Tsunade Sama, I came to meet with Ryu. Is he there?" Tsunade replied "Eyu has gone out training for some time now. What's the matter Kakashi?" Then Kakashi told her about everything that happened. Tsunade was angry that something might have happened to Rin and assured Kakashi that she will directly speak with the Hokage and send a team to rescue her. Kakashi nodded and left the Senju compound.

In an underground hideout, two cloaked figures appeared and one of them did some handsigns and activated some jutsu. Moments after, Obito woke opened his one eye and looked at the cloaked figures. They were Madara and Pain. Then Madara started speaking with Obito after Pain left. At the mist village, Yagura, who was controlled by Madara was sitting in front of unconscious Rin. Zetsu told him to start and some mist ninja started sealing the sanbi (three tails) into Rin.

Kakashi after exiting the Senju compound, couldn't wait anymore and he left in search of Rin towards mist village before that, he left a note to his father that he's going to rescue his teammate. Sakumo when he came back home, didn't find Kakashi and seeing the note, he rushed to the Hokage's office. When he entered the office, he saw Tsunade present there. He explained the note to the Hokage and said that he will go in search of Kakashi. Hiruzen refused, but Sakumo will not take no for an answer and Tsunade also was on his side and said she will accompany him and also ask Jiraya for help. Suddenly there was a yellow flash and I appeared next to Tsunade.

Seeing we were in the Hokage's office, I asked "Mother, what are you doing in the Hokage's office? I thought you were at home." Tsunade then explained everything that happened. I became angry then looked at Hiruzen and asked "Who was it that gave the information about the alliance between Kumo and Iwa?" Hiruzen rubbed his temples and said "Ryu, the information was from my trusted friend. I did not think something like this would happen...."

I interrupted him and released my chakra cracking the walls of the Hokage's office "Enough!!! Let me tell you something Hokage.... if something happens to Rin, be sure that your trusted friend will be tortured to death and if you try to stop me, then I won't care even if you are the Hokage or not. I'll deal with anyone that stands in my way. The village is supposed to protect their shinobi. Not send them to an ambush". I then turned towards Tsunade "Mother, I'll take care of this matter. I'll meet Minato and get the full details and head out to help Kakashi".

Sakumo hurriedly said "Let me come with you Ryu". I shook my head and told him "Sakumo san, from this moment on I don't trust uncle Hiruzen. You guys keep an eye on him and Danzo till I get back. I know that Danzo had a major role in it." Hiruzen hearing this furrowed his brows "Ryu, this matter...." I looked at him with cold eyes interrupting him "Hokage, you have protected Danzo well enough. At the time in Uncle Sakumo's case, I was not strong enough to handle you old people. Now I'm not weak anymore. I've surpassed my grandfather already. If you really love the village and want to be a Ninja the second Hokage wanted you to be, then don't take sides and do what's good for the village at least for once."

Saying this, I left the Hokage's office and went to Minato. "Ryu, what happened? Why are you angry?" I replied "The thing happened to your team must be a plot from Danzo. Hiruzen is trying to hide it and protect him". Minato was visibly shaken "Ryu, what are you saying?" I looked up to the sky "I don't have any proof Minato, but Danzo was the one who gave wrong information to the Hokage and sent your team". Minato nodded "So it was like that. He must have did it to get rid of me as I'm just a civilian and getting stronger and he cannot touch you because of your background".

Hearing him, I thought 'No wonder he was an Hokage in the anime. He's no doubt smart enough to figure out that the elders in the village.' I nodded "Minato, there is one more thing. Kakashi went alone to rescue Rin. So I want all the details of what happened in your mission and I'll go after Kakashi." Minato told me everything that happened. Then when I was about to leave "Ryu, let me come with you. Kakashi and Rin are my students". I shook my head "Minato, as you already know, there is some plotting going on inside the village. You must stay with Kushina and make sure to protect her. I'll take care of this matter. I've already asked Uncle Sakumo to keep an eye on Danzo. My mother will contact uncle Jiraya and settle the matters with the Hokage." Minato nodded and gave me one of his special Kunais and asked me to use it if necessary. After that, I left the village in search of Kakashi.

Meanwhile there was a meeting going on inside the Hokage's office with Tsunade, Jiraya and Hiruzen. Jiraya said "You know sensei, I have warned you about Danzo many times, but you are too soft. Ryu is right. It's difficult to trust him anymore." Tsunade also nodded. Hiruzen closed his eyes for a while contemplating "You are right Jiraya. I know from now on, it's difficult for you people to trust me. Especially for Sakumo and Minato. So I'll retire from being the Hokage and one of you four can take the position". Jiraya opened his eyes wide "But sensei, that was not what I was talking about...." Hiruzen dragged a smoke from his pipe " This is my final decision Jiraya. This is the answer to the words spoken by Ryu. I'll leave this position and that's the best thing I can do for the village".
