[**System Note: Abilities that aren't picked do not disappear. You get a shot at them in subsequent years.]

... Stiles, who was overjoyed yet utterly stupefied at the power of his System and the abilities, immediately thought to himself, 'What do they say again in those Chinese novels?'

'I got the feeling it was, *cheats are late, but they never go missing* or something like that, right?'

Stiles, who had been on the verge of desperation in the last few weeks, was smirking at what he was seeing.

... What the fuck was this overpowered cheat?

Damn.

Stiles suddenly blinked.

'Wait a minute...' He frowned, thinking.

When Ryan and Marissa started to communicate, and she chuckled about something, he didn't pay attention to them.

Seeing the heaven-defying skills the System proposed, he had suddenly considered something serious, so he asked, 'System, this is just an urban crossover, right? There's no supernatural, or is there?'

One could wonder why he was feeling so natural with the cheat. But Stiles was a transmigrator for five years already.

The cheat being amiss wasn't the weirdest thing, compared to the whole transmigration deal.

He felt like a child finally allowed to enter the candy store at that moment. Nonetheless, he definitely wasn't bewildered or attacked.

He'd already seen the other side. He was living there right now...

The System replied, [Ding! Responding to the host, you're right; this is an ordinary world parallel to your earth!]

'Why give me such broken abilities, then?' Stiles asked.

[Ding! Responding to host because you're the Origin of Chaos in this world! You can do whatever you want!]

'Can I? How does that work?' Stiles raised his brows.

[Ding! Yes! I don't know how that works either, host. You've never read system novels, have you?] The System confirmed sarcastically.

'Well, I did, but... aalright...' Stiles was about to come up with an appropriate comeback, but he shrugged and grinned.

... Who cared?

Not two seconds later, he asked the System, 'Can you stop screaming, tho? Except for those dings, you don't have the most melodious pitch, bro...'

The System tried to argue for a moment. But Stiles and it came to a peaceful agreement.

With the System on an intelligent mute, Stiles was making his first pick when Marissa took notice, or maybe even offense, in his hush-hush.

She and Ryan looked at him when she said loudly for him to hear, "Didn't you say he was chatty, Ryan?" Apparently, the two were already on a first-name basis. Ryan had also told her about him.

"He must be nervous. He usually isn't like that." Ryan answered.

Stiles kept ignoring them for a few more seconds when Sandy walked down the entrance to his house.

Marissa and Ryan stopped throwing glares at Stiles. Each for different reasons—reasons he now easily understood in the case of Ryan and could have guessed before, even without the heart reading, when she spoke. She said, "Hey, Mr. Cohen."

"Ah. Good evening Marissa." Sandy said to her.

"Waiting for Luke?"

**Luke?** Stiles suddenly heard in his head. Those were Ryan's thoughts at the mention of a guy's name. He stopped worrying about Stiles acting mysterious to pull in Marissa...

There was an uncomfortable feeling in Ryan's heart when he turned back to stare at the young woman. Waiting for her to respond.

The plot had already deviated from the original because the shiny black pickup car wasn't here yet.

"Yes." Marissa nodded to Sandy.

Ryan didn't feel well about that answer. He was still acting chill, but he felt sour.

Without any room for errors, it was love at first sight for him. 100%.

If it wasn't, no man in his right mind would go for Marissa Cooper... She was Serena Van Der Woodsen, but not as smoking.

Her hotness needed to be higher to make up for the magnitude of problems she brought forward.

Stiles chuckled to himself, thinking about the comparison between her and Serena again.

He was being hypocritical now. Marissa wasn't his type; that was all there was to it... But there was a time when he was in love with her, too.

When he was young and pure of heart like Ryan.

Watching the show the second time years later, he felt nothing seeing her. He skipped her scenes, actually.

She was that hard to watch getting close to S2 and onward... Certainly, a good friend. But truly not lover material.

Not for him, at least.

Stiles recalled some scenes when Luke and his car finally pulled up. Starting with the lights showering the four of them from a distance.

Luke was blasting rap music when he pulled up and asked, holding the steering wheel with one hand, "Ready, babe? Get in."

He didn't say hello to anybody. Not even Sandy, who he had known from childhood to now.

That was 16 years old, Luke Ward. Your typical neighborhood douchebag and captain of the Harbor High school soccer team.

He was blonde like Ryan, but the gel on his hair and hairstyle was screaming douchebag.

Yet strangely enough, he looked like a choir boy.

A Boy Scout that had gone bad boy at one point because he was too rich. And the oldest.

If big and elevated cars also meant what people liked to believe, maybe he wasn't just a douchebag. Maybe he was compensating for something...

Yeah. That was what it was...

If that urban legend was true, at least.

In that regard, Luke would be ill-fated because he was born rich and never worked a day. Or for anything.

The bigass car certainly wasn't his.

"Yeah." Under Ryan's controlled glare, which didn't go dark because it was too soon, Marissa got to the window and kissed Luke on the mouth.

After the kiss, Luke gazed at the smoking Ryan. It couldn't be called a glare, not how he looked at Ryan...

Although, he was moderately marking his territory.

"Gotta go. See you around?" When Marissa, who was getting ready to get in the car, stated with some discomfort, Ryan remained calm and did not simp.

"..." Ryan didn't reply. He tried to act cool and just stared when she walked to the other front seat with more discomfort after his silence.

Standing behind Ryan but close enough to see the side of his face, Sandy stared at him meaningfully. He was smiling and trying not to smile at the same time.

'Tragic female protagonists are really a different breed.' Stiles, who already knew this scene, which had deviated in the dialogues, thought to himself.

He was wondering why Marissa felt so tense.

Luke certainly wasn't the love of her life, and he could tell she was more sexually attracted to Ryan even without the Heart Reading. But that said, she was acting as if she owed him something already.

It was strange, but Stiles didn't care too much.

He was no love expert.

The car was far now, but the white folk's rap music was still resounding in his ears when he considered what other abilities he would pick after the heart reading.

Sandy, however, took the initiative at that time. Looking at the Stilinski and Atwood cousins, he suggested, "Let's go inside?"

"Yeah," Ryan said.

The former was about to grab his luggage, still smoking his cigarette, when Sandy reminded mildly, "There's no smoking in this house, though."

"..." Ryan wasn't convinced, and Stiles knew he would continue to smoke somewhere in the villa—somewhere he would love to go to at night. But he still threw the cigarette down the curb and stepped on it several times to put it out.

"Okay, let's go." Sandy smiled at Ryan and Stiles. Grabbing them both by the shoulders as he invited them inside.

This made for a nice scene as they walked up the entrance... Heading toward the lights, each pushing their respective wheeled suitcases on either side of Sandy, their savior and kind host.

Being led inside the house like this, Stiles couldn't help but feel guilty for being highly attracted to Kirsten. The man's wife.

Going inside, when Sandy opened the door to the house, Stiles convinced himself that maybe she wouldn't be as attractive outside the screen. And that perhaps she wouldn't like him.

Because if she did, he certainly wouldn't be able to resist long.

Author's Note

This is the edited chapter.

Concerning Kirsten, if you don't like where this is going, keep in mind that it was only 5 months ago that the chapters were heading in this direction.

Stiles isn't a dog biting his kind caretaker's hand; he's definitely not trying to make Sandy a cuckold. He really doesn't need Kirsten, and there are plenty of other women, so expect character development to come later.

He will certainly not be a boring guy who rejects women who like him. But I guarantee you that Kirsten is a side luxury that he doesn't need, so don't focus on her if you are.

It's an urban crossover with a lot of upcoming shows later like Riverdale, TW, Gossip Girl and Pretty Little Liars.

Someone suggested me Sitcoms like How I Met Your Mother, but don't worry, there will be this one and more Sitcoms than you can recall, like Pretty Smart.

I was considering adding shows like Greenhouse Academy since there's going to be a bit of action and supernatural stuff later, but I will do things slowly and nicely without rushing.
