Chapter 8: Scaring Yamcha

-At the lookout-

Vegeta landed on the lookout and was greeted by the two figures in front of him.

Vegeta: "Greetings Kami,Mr. Popo."

Mr. Popo: "It's been a while, Vegeta."

Kami: "I see that you've finished your journey in the universe. You also seem much stronger."

Vegeta: "Well, it's also the reason why I traveled the universe."

Kami: "I see. I sense that you also washed some of your sins slowly. You're really fulfilling your promise to me."

Vegeta: "Well, I used some of my free time to save some lives while also treating it as my training."

In his conversation with Kami he also said that in his travels, he 'learned' about Kami's origin, where and what race he came from and whatnot, which is true. Kami was surprised and happy to know that he has his own home planet and he's not the only one left. When Vegeta asks him if he wants to visit his home planet, although he wants to, he also doesn't want to leave earth as it's his responsibility as a guardian. But nonetheless, he thanked Vegeta for the information he gave.

After some greetings and conversation, Vegeta flew off the lookout and went back to capsule corp.

-Ten days later, at the capsule corp-

Bulma came back with Yamcha at the capsule corp after her adventure with Goku.

Vegeta was eating dinner, then sensed the two of them coming and thought:

Vegeta: 'Hmp, Yamcha really came with her huh.'

When Bulma was on her adventure with Goku, she met Yamcha many times and thought that he's handsome and strong. Yamcha of course also thought that she was beautiful. After Oolong stole the wish from the Pilaf Crew and wished to give him a girl's panty, Bulma and Yamcha realized that they don't need to wish for a perfect partner, so they decided to go back to the city together. Which means that they are not in a relationship yet.

Bulma entered the capsule corp and saw a figure eating a bunch of food on the dining table. She didn't recognized the figure, then the figure spoke:

Vegeta: "Oh, Bulma you're back. It's been a long time."

Vegeta looked at them from his seat, then his gaze landed on Yamcha's eyes. Yamcha, who saw this, shivered and looked away.

When Bulma heard the man speak, she began to think who this man could be:

Bulma: 'Hmm? He has a tail and spiky black hair. The only people I know who have these characteristics are Raditz, Oh yeah Goku too, then Nappa except for his hair. Then, this person must be…'

Bulma place her right index finger on her chin in a thinking position, then continue:

Bulma: 'Vegeta?!'

After she realized who he was, Bulma then said:

Bulma: "V-ve-vegeta? Is that you?"

Vegeta stood up from his seat and walked to them and said:

Vegeta: "I thought you forgot about me. It's been 10 years, you've become more beautiful, Bulma."

She looked up at his towering figure. Because of Vegeta's height, he looks more mature. When Bulma heard his word, she blushed and said:

Bulma: "Y-yes, It's been a while."

Yamcha on the side, heaved a sigh of relief when he heard that Bulma knew him. But when he looks at the figure of Vegeta, he feels like an ant in front of a mountain.

Vegeta then ask him:

Vegeta: "So, who might you be?"

Yamcha sweat dropped by the sudden question of Vegeta. He stepped back a little bit and put his left hand in the back of his head and said with a forceful smile:

Yamcha: "W-well, I-I'm a friend of Bulma. I came here with her s-since I don't have a place to stay in the city."

Vegeta narrowed his eyes and said:

Vegeta: "Is that so? Anyway, by any chance are you a martial artist? I can see that you're very fit."

Yamcha reply with a doubtful tone while his left hand still place in the back of his head:

Yamcha: "W-well, kind of?"

Vegeta then showed a big grin on his face and said:

Vegeta: "Perfect! I'm also a martial artist. Since you're also planning to stay here, why don't you spar with me, it will be fun? It's been a month since the last time I fought someone"

Yamcha reply while scratching the back if his head:

Yamcha: "W-well, thanks. But I think I will pass for now. I can feel that super strong, I will just drag you down from your training if I stay and I'm not that strong either. So I'm planning to find a place on my own."

This time, Bulma interrupt:

Bulma: "Wait Yamcha, I thought you will be staying here?

Yamaha: "Well I didn't think that you would have visitors here and I would just be a burden to you guys."

Bulma: "If that's what you want. I will just help you to find a place since I'm the one who invited you to come to the city."

Vegeta: "Very well. If you don't want to stay then you can do your thing."

Vegeta then began to leave while thinking:

Vegeta: 'Hahahahaha! I think I scare the crap out of him too much! At first, he probably wanted to stay here and make a move on Bulma.'

In his past life, Vegeta developed some kind of dislike for Yamcha because of some fanfics he read about Yamcha being a cheater and all.

Before Vegeta was about to leave, Bulma remembered something and spoke:

Bulma: "Oh yeah, Hey Vegeta! On our journey, we met a strong kid, named Goku."

Vegeta stopped and said:

Vegeta: "Oh? So what about him?"

Bulma: "Well, I was thinking if he's an alien like you guys and if you know him by any chance. He also has a tail and an unusual spiky black hair."

Yamcha was surprised when Bulma asked this. He didn't think that aliens actually exist. At first he didn't notice Vegeta's tail because it's wrapped around his waist. But when he takes a better look, he really has a tail! Yamcha gulped and sweat dropped, because this means that there are other people who can also turn into a giant ape. It's a good thing he didn't pissed off Vegeta or else he would be dead, so he just stayed quiet.

Vegeta: "Well, that's probably Raditz' younger brother. He was sent here by their mother before our planet was destroyed. "

Bulma was surprised that Raditz has a brother, then she said:

Bulma: "So he's actually Raditz' younger brother, huh. I guess there's a reason why you didn't take him with you guys."

Vegeta: "Well, kind of."

Yamcha was again surprised by what he heard, he couldn't help but ask:

Yamcha: "Wait, Raditz? By the name Raditz, you don't mean the famous MLB superstar do you?

Bulma: "I'm impressed you knew him even though you lived in the desert."

Even though Yamcha lived in the desert, he still has his own TV with antenna.

Bulma then continue:

Bulma: "Anyway, one night he suddenly turned into a giant ape when he looked at the full moon. I was wondering if it's normal for you guys to turn to a giant ape."

Vegeta: "Well, it's one of our transformations. It's normal for a saiyan with a tail to turn into a giant ape if he looks at the full moon or something that resembles it. But for an elite warrior like me, I can still stay conscious if I transform."

After their conversation, Vegeta gets back to the dining table and begins to eat again. While Bulma leaves the capsule corp with Yamcha to help him find a place where he can stay.

-At the same time, in the far away galaxy-

You could see a huge circular shaped spaceship floating in the vast vacuum of space. Inside the spaceship, you could see a frost demon sitting in the floating hover pod with the shape resembling a baby chair, this is Frieza. He was looking at the space in front of the spaceship's window with a bored look.

Suddenly, one of Frieza's men ran inside and kneel with his left knee and bow to Frieza's side. Then, the soldier said:

Soldier: "Lord Frieza! We received a report from one of our men about the saiyans who deserted the Frieza force."

Frieza: "Oho! Finally, some good news. What about these monkeys?"

Soldier: "Yes, my lord. One of our men heard a conversation between a galactic patrolman about Vegeta joining the galactic patrol. After he captured one of the patrolmen, he found out that currently, Vegeta was residing on planet earth from the milky way galaxy."

Frieza: "Huhuhuhu! These monkeys survived long enough, I will personally take care of them. How long will it take to arrive on earth?"

Soldier: "It will take one and a half years, my lord."

Frieza: "Very well. Set the coordinates to planet earth. We will visit these monkeys."

The soldier lower his head and said:

Soldier: "Yes, Lord Frieza!"

Then the soldier left Frieza alone.

Frieza said to no one and started laughing:

Frieza: "Be ready monkeys! I will erase your race from existence! Hahahahaha!"

-Back to earth, the next day-

It was still early in the morning, so everyone was still sleeping except for Vegeta.

Vegeta was eating in the capsule corp after training in the gravity chamber when he sensed Frieza coming towards earth's direction. He has been guarding Frieza's move since he joined galactic patrol. Vegeta then said to no one:

Vegeta: "What's this? Frieza's making his move. He probably found my location even though I was being careful, not that it matters to me. In fact, I was itching for a fight. Though it will not be a fun fight since I can kill him in just one move. Anyway, I will just toy with him before I kill him and take over the Frieza force. What a good plan."
