17 Chapter 17

After running for a little bit some of the other contestants break through the robots and are behind us and are slowly catching up.

Todoroki and I make it to the second part of the course and he starts to slide on the ropes with his ice and I use chakra to balance myself while I run across them.

'That stage was easy.'<Kori>

I quickly look behind me and see some of the others have not gotten to the tight rope stage and I hear yelling in the sky and I look up and see Bakugo using his explosions to fly.

'He can move pretty fast with those.'<Kori>

'Damn Takada is still with me. And Bakugo is catching up.'<Todoroki>

After some more running, we reach the land mine zone.

'Hmm, this one might be troublesome.'<Kori>

I look over the field of mines and try to think of a quick way to get past it.

'Ok now is when I decide if I want to get first or not. If I get first I will be targeted next round but I also will get a lot of points automatically.'<Kori>

I look over at Todoroki and notice he has already slowly started getting past the mines.

'I guess I will just walk around the mines. There is no need to do anything flashy this round.'<Kori>

I start to make my way past the mines and a little bit after some of the other contestants show up and try to make it past the mines also.

'Hmm, I am fine with whatever placement I get this round as long as I pass.'<kori>

Bakugo then starts to fly over the mines and starts to catch up with Todoroki and me and attacks Todoroki.

As I still am casually making my way past the mines, Bakugo and Todoroki are now running while fighting each other.

Then there is a huge explosion farther back and Bakugo and Todoroki freeze and look back.

'I am guessing that is Midoriya.'<Kori>

And Midoriya starts to fly over us and Bakugo and Todoroki start to speed up.

'I guess I should go faster also.'<Kori>

I do some hand signs and a bunch of ice mirrors appears leading all the way to the finish line.

'If I just travel through my mirrors I won't be touching any mines.'<Kori>

And I quickly teleport all the way past the land mines and start to run again on normal ground and I hear an explosion in the background and I glance back to see Midoriya not too far behind with Todoroki and Bakugo a little behind him.

"Midoriya, Todoroki, and Bakugo are head and head who will make it first

'I guess I will just get first and play defensively the next round.'<Kori>

I then run back through a tunnel and find myself back in the arena while the three boys follow a few seconds later.

"And the first person back is Takada, While Midoriya, Bakugo, and Todoroki were concerned with each other she passed them all and got first!"<Present Mic>

I look around the arena and see the audience clapping.

And I look back at the three boys and I see a crying Midoriya, a neutral-looking Todoroki, and an extremely angry Bakugo. and shortly after some more of the contestants start to finish.

'Dammit, Dammit, Dammit. How could she get first!'<Bakugo>

'Thank god I made it!'<Midoriya>

I look back at the tunnel and see Ochako running towards us.

"You guys were amazing."<Ochako>

Midoriya and I look back at Ochako.

"Oh hey Ochako-chan."<Kori>

"First and second place is amazing."<Ochako>

We then hear Midnight start talking.

"The first game of the first-year stage is finally over. Now let's look at the results."<Midnight>

A screen appears showing how well everyone did.

"The top 42 made it through to the next round. it's unfortunate, but don't worry even if you didn't make it! We've prepared other chances for you to shine. The real competition begins next! The press will be all over it! Give it you're all!"<Midnight>

'Next up is that weird point thing where you carry someone right?'<Kori>

"Now then, here is the second game. What could it be?"<Midnight>

The wheel that decided last rounds game is now spinning again and it lands on Cavalry Battle.

"And it's been decided the next game is a cavalry battle."<Midnight>

'Knew it."<Kori>

"let me explain. participants can form teams from two to four people as they wish. It's basically the same as a regular cavalry battle, but the one thing that's different is that based on the results of the last game each person has been assigned a point value."<Midnight>

Some of the contestants start to talk and it annoys midnight.

"You guys don't hold back even though I am talking, huh?! Now back to the explanation. The points go up by five starting from the bottom. So 42nd place gets 5 points and 41st gets 10 and so on. But the point value assigned to first place is ten million!"<Midnight>

'Yep I knew it.'<Kori>

The contestants start to look at me.

'It's going to be impossible to get a team.'<Kori>

"Its survival of the fittest, with a chance for those at the bottom to overthrow the top!"<Midnight>
