4 Chapter 4

Two days later, in Nicolas's house. Nicolas, Dumbledore, and Perenelle sat around the table with a serious look on their faces.

"I think this is enough to last Hagrid for two years. We prepared food, books, and potions this should be enough. What do you guys think?" Dumbledore asked his friends with an exhausted look on his face.

Perenelle and Nicolas looked at each other deep in thought. Silence descended on the room for a couple of seconds.

Before Nicolas broke the suffocating silence and said. "The boy should be able to survive with the help of what we prepared. But is it enough? No! No, it will never be enough but we did the best we can considering the amount of time we had." said Nicolas in sadness.

Perenelle interjected and said. "Enough with the gloomy atmosphere! The boy is strong and with our help he will be okay. So stop sulking around, and deliver the pouch to the boy.

Dumbledore serious face finally melted into a smile and said. "You are right! It should be enough, and if it's not we can just send more.

"of course I'm right. If I left it to you two, you would still be mopping aroun. So, hurry up and deliver the pouch." Perenelle said while shooing Dumbledore with a smile on her face.

"Alright, I'm going." Said Dumbledore while turning to face Nicolas. "Thank you for your help my friend, and you too Perenelle. I couldn't have finished everything without you." Dumbledore said while standing up.

"Any time my friend, any time. Now go, and make sure to visit when you have the time." Said Nicolas knowing full well that Dumbledore will be busier than ever.

"Farewell," Dumbledore said while preparing a portkey to his office.

"Sherbet lemon." Dumbledore said and the portkey activated, making Dumbledore disappear into a swirl.

Nicolas turned to Perenelle and asked. "My dear, did I smell the elixir of life on the food you cooked?"

"I don't know what you're talking about." Perenelle said with a smug smile on her face. Making Nicolas burst out laughing.

"God, I love you." Nicolas said while hugging Perenelle, with a warm smile on his face.

Meanwhile, Dumbledore is evading Fawkes's angry attacks while profusely apologizing.

He knew that the bird would be angry, but not this angry.

"Alright Fawkes, stop!" Dumbledore said while looking speechless. "I need you to deliver this pouch with a letter, to Hagrid.

The bird just looked at Dumbledore angrily and huffed.

Dumbledore took out the pouch, and gave it to the bird.

The bird snorted at Dumbledore, and teleported through a ball of fire.

Hagrid sat in his cell wondering where Fawkes is, he feared that something has happened to the bird.

Maybe he was eaten by a dementor, or lost his way, or maybe Dumbledore is fighting Grindelwald and forgot about him.

Thankfully, Fawkes arrived a moment later, making Hagrid beam with joy.

"Fawkes, you're finally here! I thought something bad has happened to you." Hagrid said with unconcealed happiness.

The phoenix just dropped the pouch, and teleported out. After all, he's in a hurry to teach someone a lesson that includes pecking and scratching.

Hagrid just looked speechlessly at the disappearing bird. Hagrid wondered if Dumbledore is in the middle of battle or something.

"Couldn't that damn bird stay for a while it's not like Dumbledore is going to die or anything." Hagrid said in exasperation.

Hagrid looked at the pouch and forgot all about the stupid bird. He picked up the paper attached to it and started reading the letter aloud.

"Dear Hagrid,

My friend Nicolas, who is a great alchemist, and I created this pouch for you. We charmed it to be undetectable by dementors and wizards alike. All you need to do to activate it's features is a drop of blood. You should first drink the potion labeled the elixir of live and then read the book entitled Occlumency. The potion will help with the first step in mastering the mind, and in turn helping you control your emotions. This should keep you safe from the dementors influence. Positive emotions are a poison to dementor so use them to your advantage. Finally, all the other potions are labeled with their uses and names. The food will never run out so use it as you see fit.

Sincerely, Dumbledore.

Hagrid watched as the letter crumpled into dust before scrambling to take the magical pouch. Hagrid became excited as this is the first time that he saw a magical artifact.

Hagrid bit his finger as hard as he can, but failed to break the skin. Hagrid wondered how people in anime and manga do it. He tried again only to be met with failure. The pain made Hagrid wish he was a woman. Before dismissing such idiotic line of thinking.

"Damn it!" Hagrid cursed in a low voice.

He started searching around his cell for a sharp edge. Not finding any. Hagrid knew what he must do.

Hagrid looked at the wall, and started to dread how much his next action will hurt him.

He hesitated for a second before he moved his head back and slammed it against the wall.

"God dammit! Shit!" Hagrid howled in pain.

He touched his forehead. making the wound sting. Hagrid gritted his teeth, and looked at his hand.

"hehe, blood!" Hagrid exclaimed in a dizzy manner.

He grabbed the pouch with his blooded hand.

The pouch glowed red for awhile lighting up the cell and Hagrid started to fell a connection to the pouch. Like an extra limb. The glow soon disappeared darkening the room.

Hagrid looked at the pouch in astonishment. Since this is the most exciting thing that happened to Hagrid in a while, he started to play with the pouch. After throwing the pouch away, and calling it back. Hagrid's joy finally subdued.

while all of this is happening, Hagrid didn't notice that dementors haven't visited him for a while.

In reality, even though dementors are evil, they are still afraid of the presence that came to Hagrid's cell. This should give Hagrid a few days of rest but no more than two.

Hagrid opened the pouch. Only to find that its empty. He put his hand inside, searching for the elixir. Only for the elixir to appear in his hand. Hagrid looked at the elixir in amazement. He Put his hand again inside the pouch, and started to think about the occlumancy book. The book appeared in Hagrid's hand much to his shock.

Hagrid sat down with the book and elixir in his hand. He uncorked the bottle, and drank the blood red liquid.

The elixir tasted like mint and honey. Making Hagrid feel refreshed and energized. His injuries started to heal, and some colour returned to his face. Hagrid opened the book, and started reading.

But what he didn't notice, what he couldn't notice, is that the roots of his hair are turning silverish-blue. It's the beginning of something that will change Hagrid's live forever.

The book mentioned that the first step in mastering the mind is clearing the mind. So, Hagrid closed his eyes and started trying to clear his mind of any distracting thoughts.

After a while of practicing, Hagrid finally managed to clear his mind. Feeling a sense of clarity that he has never felt before. He felt like a heavy burden that he carried all his life is finally gone.

When Hagrid opened his eyes again, the sun has come out, and he felt an overwhelming exhaustion. As if he worked for days, without rest. He missed the feeling of clarity, and wanted to to continue practicing but exhaustion overwhelmed him and he finally fell asleep.

When Hagrid fell asleep, the pouch produced a suction force that devoured the items he took out.

But Hagrid won't discover this feature until later on.
