Character Information

Thanks to @Why Not Bacon for reminding me. I should generally introduce them slowly as the story progresses but since I am putting the first volume of MC's childhood on hiatus, I decided some minimum info is required since many do not know much about Hindu mythology

The gods wished for Skanda to be born in order to destroy the demons Taraka, Simhamukha, and Surapadma, in which the brothers had been granted a boon that he could be killed only by Shiva's power (Skanda was purely born of Shiva). They sent Parvati to seduce Shiva. Shiva, however, was lost in meditation and was not attracted to Parvati until he was struck by an arrow from the bow of Kamadeva, the god of love, whom he immediately burned to ashes. After many years of abstinence, Shiva's seed became so powerful that the gods, fearing the result, sent Agni, the god of fire, to interrupt Shiva's amorous play with Parvati. Agni received the seed and dropped it into the Ganges from which Skanda was born.

Kartikeya is a master in all forms of combat. He is a brilliant tactician and strategist as evident when he defeated a much stronger army led by Tarka and his brothers with a weaker army of Devas. He ran away from his home when he lost to his brother in a competition to decide the position of God of Wisdom and knowledge. He decided to cut all his ties with the family thinking they loved his brother more than him. (Rebellious teen). He met Valli who is a huntress that lived in the forest near the mountain he lived in when he was incognito. He fell in love with her and was heartbroken when she died. He eventually went back to Heaven to fight for the position of Commander- in -chief and won it by right of combat.
