I cant help but smile in gleeful joy seeing how much I have grown since I first arrived here. I did really well in the fight and even though it was only an E-rank monster I have yet to assign my points which I seem to hav an excessive amount of.

I decide to raise my strength, dexterity, endurance and vitality by ten points each so that they dont fall to far behind. I then decide to split the remaining 110 points evenly between Agility, Intelligence, wisdom, charisma and luck. You can never have to much luck and it is always nice if someone decides to do what you want them too because you are so cute.

Finished with assigning my attribute points I jump of the elemental and walk smugly over to Kanthari.

But as I arrive I notice that something seems a bit off with her. She almost seems sad? But why is that, I cant seem to think of anything.

'Why are you sad Kanthari? Did I do something that hurt you without realizing it? If I did can u please tell me so that I can make up for it.'

"You did nothing wrong Ciara I just feel a bit useless now that you have evolved. I barely did anything to that earth elemental and it was a lesser one at that! I dont know what I am going to do when you fight even stronger monsters."

'That wasn't what happened at all though Kanthari! Before you joined the fight we were at a stalemate, with neither of us managing to gain the advantage. But as soon as you joined the stalemate was broken and we one within moments!'

"Thanks that helps a bit I guess. Why don't we go collect the monster core, talk to Elena and get our reward." Says Kanthari with a slight smile on her beautiful face.

'What is a monster core?' I asked With a confused expression on my face. 'We never got any from the goblins we killed earlier.'

"That is because monster cores can only be found in E-rank monsters and above. The goblins we killed earlier were only F-rank monsters. The monsters core forms from their mana condensing in their body when they die. It is normally located in the ribcage by the heart but some monsters are exceptions to this."

Hearing Kanthari's explanation on monster cores I excitedly ran over to the earth elemental to look for the core. I started shoveling away the dirt as quick as possible to see what the core looks like.

Slowly a sphere that glimmered gently in the sunlight became visible to my eyes. It was one of the most beautiful things I had ever seen. Though Kanthari was still much prettier in my opinion.

Once the core was fully visible and glittering prettily Kanthari walked over and scooped it up from the sand causing a dust cloud to go straight into my face.

I sneezed explosively from the sand in my nose causing Kanthari to jump into the air.

"S-sorry about that Ciara I was just excited about getting our reward. I didn't mean to throw sand in you face I promise."

'Its fine, I know you didn't do it on purpose. What say we go and get our prize now.'
