Rewards

Kanthari greeted the guard as she walked past with me in her arms on the way to the guild. We meandered through the streets for a while admiring the town before we eventually arrived back at the guild.

Kanthari opened the door with one hand while she carried me with the other. We walked past the loud adventurers sitting around us at the tables talking loudly to one another.

Arriving at the counter Kanthari dug through her satchel and put the five goblins ears on the table in front of Jack.

"Well, everything seems to be here." He said after counting the ears. He then reached down and put a bag down on the table in front of us. The bag produced a jingling sound as it was placed making me think it had coins inside.

"Here you go 10 copper coins as the reward and you have officially completed a quest.

As soon as jack finished saying that my system popped up in front of me.

[Quest goblin murder has been completed]

[Issuing rewards now]

Seeing that that was done I could hardly wait and pulled up my status to see if I could now evolve.

Seeing that I really had gone up ten levels and that I could now evolve I couldn't help but start purring in excitement. Kanthari looked at me oddly for a bit before just deciding that I was really happy about completing my first quest.

"Why don't we go get something to eat from the marketplace as a reward like I promised." Said Kanthari while walking towards the door. "We can use some of the copper we just earned to treat ourselves."

Hearing what she said I decided to wait until tonight before evolving as some food sounded really good at the moment.

We arrived at the marketplace where we walked up to one of the vendors selling kebab type things.

"Excuse me, but what meat is your kebabs made out of."

"The finest slices of earth drake meat freshly roasted over a fire. It is also on special at only 5 copper a piece."

Kanthari must have thought that the meat would be nice as she immediately started haggling the price down to a more affordable level.

A bit of back and forth later and we were walking away with two sticks of earth drake meat for the reasonable price of four copper.

We walked over to a tree which we had decided to sit and eat our food under. Kanthari sat down herself before putting me down next to her and holding out one of the kebabs to me so that I could eat it.

We just sat there in peace and quiet for a while as we ate our delicious kebabs. Though if I was honest with myself it tasted like chicken. What I really enjoyed about it was just being able to relax without worry next to a new friend.

After finishing for a while we both stood up and started going back to Kanthari's house. With me being carried by her of course.

After we arrived back it was already very late so Kanthari decided to go straight to bed.

Lying in bed I waited for Kanthari to fall asleep. Only once I could hear her light snores and see the soft rise and fall of her chest did I decide to evolve.

I opened up my status and with bated breath selected the evolve option
