Lesser Earth Elemental part 2

A while later Elena comes to a stop in the forest.

"This is where I usually come to collect my herbs and it was around here somewhere that I saw the lesser earth elemental."

"Thank you for guiding us here Elena. You can go back now and we will find and take care of the elemental." Answered Kanthari.

After watching Elena leave Kanthari turns around and looks straight at me.

"Let's get searching then shall we."

After seeing me give a nod of approval Kanthari turns around to lead the way in our search. A bit of searching later and we see what is a great trail of destruction which was most likely left behind from the earth elemental.

There is broken tree branches thrown across the ground and turned up earth everywhere. After following the trail of destruction for a while I start to hear what sounds like great roars of anguish coming from in front of us.

We both turn and look at each other before breaking into a sprint to see what is going on. We arrive to a scene of great bloodshed, though thankfully it is not from any humanoid creature.

I can see what looks to be a lion but this lion is strange as it has a light green tint to its fur and it is shooting of blades of wind in random directions.

I assume it is doing this to try and protect itself from whatever is attacking it. If I am honest with myself the lions struggles are pretty pointless as the ground seems to have come alive and is slowly surrounding and crushing the life out of the lion.

I calmly look around to see if I can find what is attacking it, which I assume is the lesser earth elemental we are looking for.

'Hey Kanthari can you see what is attacking the lion?'

"Yes I can, It seems to be the earth elemental we are looking for and it is located in front of us to our right hiding behind a tree." Answers Kanthari in a whisper."

Just after I manage to locate the earth elemental I hear the lion give a final roar of pain before a sickening crunch sounds out through the woods.

I decide that seeing as the elemental is not paying much attention at the moment, as it just killed the lion, it would be the perfect time to attack.

'Kanthari I am going to teleport to it and use my Spatial slash kill to hopefully kill it with the help of the sneak attack bonus.' After saying this and seeing Kanthari's nod of approval I use my teleport skill.

Kanthari's POV

Just after agreeing to Ciara's idea I see her vanish from my sight in an instant. I take my bow of my back and nock an arrow to it while turning around to look at the earth elemental.

To my shock I can see Ciara jumping around the elemental dodging it attacks by contorting her body into extreme positions. Every now and then I see her use her skill Spatial slash to send a devastating attack it's way.

It would seem my hunch was right as well as I could see the ground rolling and buckling around them like a heaving beast as Ciara and the elemental fought for control.

To be honest while I am very happy for Ciara and her new strength I am also a bit jealous and sad with how almost redundant I now am.

Getting rid of those depressing thought I pull back and shoot my arrow at the elemental as even if I cant do alot I can still help a little.

Ciara's POV

Out of the corner of my eye I can see Kanthari standing with an arrow to her bow but for some strange reason she wasn't letting it loose. Deciding to ignore it for now and ask about it later I focus back in on the fight.

An immense amount of my concentration is being used at the moment to fight of the elementals earth Manipulation using my own. While at the same time I dodging and sending Spatial slashes at the monster.

It has turned out to be surprisingly resilient as even my critical sneak attack did not manage to finish it off. At some point during the fight Kanthari joined in and started helping out with her expert archery. This helped alot because it distracted the monster and took some of the pressure off of me.

Soon after Kanthari joined I stood triumphantly over a lump of dirt, which was actually the earth elemental.
