22 Lady Kanthari?

I wake up a while later on the bed, still a bit tired from the great nap I just had. I jump off the bed and walk around the house, wondering what time it is as Kanthari does not seem to be back yet.

Getting bored I decide to jump back up on the bed and wait for Kanthari to get back. In the beginning I just lie there bored but I slowly start to get more and more agitated as time passes and Kanthari doesnt arrive home.

Enough is enough, seeing that Kanthari is not here and imagining what could have happened to her, I make up my mind. It is time for an adventure. I jump off the bed and sprint over to the door as every second something bad could be happening to Kanthari.

Only to be stumped as I realise that I cannot open the door. I sit there in thought for a bit before I realise how stupid I am being and just teleport past the door.

With that obstacle overcome I break back into a sprint as I run around the town looking for Kanthari. I see buildings and people pass me by on either side but None of them look anything like Kanthari. I contemplate stopping and asking someone if they have seen Kanthari, only to realise that I am still a cat and even if I can talk to them telepathically they will probably just get scared and think it is a ghost.

I screech to a halt when I pass by the adventurers guild as Kanthari might have stopped by. I walk cautiously into the building while looking wearily around to see if I can find any sign of her presence. But no such luck all that is visible are random drunk adventurers gathered around the place. at least that is what I thought before I caught the sound of something interesting.

"Did you here, it seems like Duke Elegast finally found his daughter that ran away. She was even found here of all places."

"Its insane. Who would even run away from that kind of life in the first place, I mean you would have everything you could dream of served up to you on a silver platter, or even a gold one if you so pleased."

"She has her reasons. I heard it was because Duke Elegast was trying to arrange her hand in marriage to the son of a friend of his as he had taken a fancy to her."

I tune out the rest of their conversation as I stand there in complete and utter shock. Who would have thought that Kanthari was the daughter of a duke. While these thoughts swirl around inside my head I cant help but notice a sharp pain in my heart. This adds to my growing confusion as I have no idea what it means.

I decide to put all of my thoughts away as it would seem that Kanthari is in trouble as she does not want to get married. Now all I need to do is find her and help her escape from her supposed family.

I turn around and hurry out of there in search of a gaudy carriage or a procession of people or really anything that would indicate that someone important is near.

I spend a while running around helplessly getting more and more worked up as time passes without me seeing any sign of Kanthari.
