8 The Cataclysm Part 2

Charles grabbed the handle of the police's car door and yanked it open.

'Damn, I need to find Giovan, he told me it was a demon, yet I didn't believe him!'

Pressing the gas pedal, the car roared to life and shot down the street to the precinct.

Hopping out the car, he heard gunshots ringing out in the night.

"Kill them, and don't let any infected into the base!" A hummer came to a stop and men clad in camouflage got out and pointed their rifles at the zombies staggering to the precinct.

'The world is over, but where can I find Giovan, he's probably the only person who can fix this.'

Pointing his pistol at a female zombie, he fired and then a case dropped near the body.

Running over to the case, he opened it and found a dagger.

Lifting the dagger, he placed in his belt and shot a nearby zombie and then ran to the doors.

Pushing past the soldiers in front of the door, he came to a stop when he saw the station full of survivors.

"World Announcement : Total Death rates have reached upwards of 1 Billion!"

'Shit, a billion humans already died!? What is this? Why is this happening?'

"Because an Infernal Creature is feeding on the emotions and souls of the creatures of this world." An aged voice rang out in Charles' ears.

Looking up, he saw Giovan with Azreal in his arms while wearing a a small smile.

"Giovan, what do you mean, what's an Infernal Creature?" Charles asked while looking at Azrael's eyes and realized they were black, and not the dark brown kind, but a deep black.

"Infernal Creatures come from the Infernal Realms, and they feed on worlds, while devouring all life and souls as they eat, this particular one is newly born and as such weaker than the others, it shouldn't be to hard to defeat it. Also say status to see your stats."

"Status?"

"What is this, does it think this is a game?!" Charles yelled at Giovan, however he just gave a wry smile.

"Yes, your lives mean nothing to it, so it will just devour you all. I should go, if i stay any longer, it'll detect me and come to kill you."

Giovan silhoutee flickered then vanished while Charles just looked at where he vanished from with shock.

'He isn't human, or he's extremely fast!' Charles pushed it to the back of his mind as thunder boomed outside as rain started to pour down, starting to flood the streets.

Rushing to the door, he looked out and saw a scene he'd never forget.

Rain poured down as soldiers shot at the zombies, as lightning flashed above them, thunder boomed in the back ground as the earth shook.

"It's the end of the world!" An old and wizened voice sounded out.
