Chapter 2

Tianlong woke up from his sleep and looked at his surroundings, 'So it wasn't a dream, huh...'

After waking up the ethereal dragon decided to create a plan to survive in this new world. Although he was reborn into an Elder Dragon, a dragon that can easily cause natural disasters and destroy anything in their path, he was still only level 9 and a Yellow Realm Stage 2 magical beast. He wasn't able to contest against any old monsters of this world, and if they hear about him being an Elder Dragon, something even higher than the legendary True Dragon, they will kill him at all costs.

What he needed to do now was first, make a plan to steadily level up and become stronger. Second, although he had some of Xeno'Jiiva's skills from the game and they were powerful, he wanted to expand the skills and create new ones. Third, he had to not be discovered by humans until he was at least Earth realm, where he can at least defend himself and run away.

After thinking about it for a while, Tianlong decided to go and eat. Walking out of the cave and onto the surrounding forest, the reborn dragon walked through the trees, occasionally knocking some down due to immense size. He stopped just as he heard a growl, looked over he saw a large blood red wolf coldly looking him down.

'Hmmm... a Black Realm magical beast, I think I found a way to level up fast hehe.' Tianlong got ready to confront the bloody wolf. The wolf wasted no time and started attacking, rushing up and testing his enemies power with a quick claw slash. Tianlong quickly surrounded his claws with Elder Dragon Bioenergy and used [ Energy Armor ] to block the strike. Before pushing the wolf back, showing that he had more physical power. Although he noticed small scratch marks left on his hide. 'Huh... I was a bit too overconfident. Black Realm Magical beasts will be able to harm me.'

Looking at the wolf in front of him, he surrounded his claws in Elder Dragon Bioenergy before using [ Enhanced Claws ] to cut the wolf. The wolf dodged before biting the dragon's hind legs and sucking some of his blood. As if it had taken drugs, the wolf got even wilder and his body was surrounded by a blood mist.

*Awoooo*

The wolf howled before going on the attack once again. Tianlong decided to end this and started charging up [ Dragon Breath ]. His strongest attack connected with the wolf's body before ending his life.

'Very good.' Looking at the dead body of the Blood-Devouring Wolf, Tianlong picked it up with his powerful maw and walked to a random nearby cave. He made sure that the walls were long and narrow before setting the dead body down. Tianlong started to mutilate the body, making sure that the blood was emptied and spread around.

The Elder Dragon's plan was to use the bloody scent of their pack member to lure other Blood-Devouring Wolf to his cave, before hitting them with a [ Dragon Breath ] and gather level quickly. As said by the system, Blood-Devouring Wolves are pack creatures that are very sensitive to blood and will easily smell the blood. As expected, it wasn't before long before he heard wolves howl.

*Awoooo* *Awoooo* *Awoooo*

Eight wolves stopped at the entrance of the cave, cautiously looking towards it. Although they are Black Realm magical beast, they don't have the intelligence of humans so when they looked at their superior numbers, they were confident.

The wolves started walking down the narrow cave to where they smelled the blood of their comrade. Before long, they arrived at the corpse of a deceased wolf, its body mutilated and blood flung everywhere. They looked towards the back of the cave where an ethereal white and blue illuminated the cave before everything went dark.

Tianlong looked towards the destruction he caused, he was thankful that there were no Earth Realm beasts in the crowd of wolves. The only reasons why he actually succeeded in killing all them was because he caught them by surprise and they were only Black Realm. Once a magical beast cultivates to Earth Realm, they gain human-like intelligence and are able to speak human language. If an Earth Realm beast were to go with the small pack, they would be able to tell that this was a trap.

'So I leveled up to Black Realm... I should get out of here before the real pack leader gets here.' Tianlong quickly fled the crime scene before heading back to his cave. In the background, one can hear the angry howl of a wolf. 'Thankfully I got out of there, that sounds like an Earth Realm magical beast.'

Feeling hungry, Tianlong killed a magical beast on the way to his cave.

Once he arrived at the end of the cave, Tianlong laid down and looked at his status, 'Since I leveled up to level 50, I should be able to summon a monster subordinate.' His thoughts were interrupted by a mechanical female voice.

[ Congratulations! You have successfully leveled up to level 50. Would you like to summon a monster subordinate? ]

Giving the mental command, a familiar color wheel manifested before him.

[ Since this is your first time summoning, +50% increase chance of summoning a rare monster, -50% chance of summoning small monsters...

Spinning the Monster Wheel, please wait... Congratulations! You have successfully summoned Flying Wyvern - Variant Black Horn Wyvern - Black Diablos ]

'Black Diablos huh... not bad for the first dragon, it could be worse... like an aquatic monster.' Suddenly, the ground started shaking, and a black blur shot out the ground and landed in front Tianlong.

The Black Diablos is a large, black bipedal wyvern with powerful armor plating covering their body. The female Diablos has a pair of black massive, solid horns above their eyes. She possesses a pair of tusk-like fangs and a large, spiny neck frill. Her tail ends with a heavy, studded club that can be used to ward off attackers. The Black Diablos stood on a pair of stocky, wide-set legs and possess a broad upper body complete with thick, muscular wings.

Tianlong looked at the wyvern with a little confusion, 'Why is she an adult? Isn't she supposed to be a baby like I am?'

[ You were reborn so you had to start as a baby. ]

'Why couldn't I be summoned as an adult?'

The system didn't answer. Looking over his new subordinate, Tianlong spoke through their connection, 'Since you are my first subordinate, I'll give you a name, you will now be called Xiao Hei.' He gave the wyvern a mental command through the connection he had with her. 'Go and hunt until you are level 50, make sure you're not seen.' The newly named Xiao Hei gave Tianlong a nod of acknowledgment and burrowed into the ground, looking for a place to hunt.

With Xiao Hei gone, Tianlong decided that he needed more attacks than just the basic one he received. Gathering Elder Dragon Bioenergy, he used it just like he does when using [ Enhanced Claws ] But instead of using he claws, he directed the energy to his tail.

[ Congratulations, you have successfully created the skill, 'Tailwhip.' ]

Happy with his new success, Tianlong wanted to create one more skill before calling it a day. He started using [ Dragon Breath ] but instead of firing a concentrated beam, he wanted to create an orb that detonated, creating an area of attack. He took the idea from one of his favorite anime, Naruto, called the tailed beast bomb. It took a few tries, but he finally got it.

[ Congratulations, you have successfully created the skill, 'Dragon Energy Bomb.' ]

Happy and tired from his skill creating, Tianlong called it a day and closed his eyes, finally falling asleep.
