11 Meeting 1/2

After Sebas had left the throne room I began refocusing on what I was going to tell the floor guardians about my plan, but before that I wanted to check something.

"Status"

A small blue box appeared in front me. It had a small depiction of myself on the left side and a list of my classes and status.

"At least I can open my own status window and inventory. Would have been pretty depressing if I never found out what skills I had." I muttered to myself while slowly reading through the parts that stood out.

"But sadly I don't have any exp bar or something, so I guess no grinding through killing monsters. Not that there is much that can kill me unless I make stupid decisions."

One thought I had through these years is whether it would be possible to use magic to transport Nazarick into different worlds.

I am actually quite sure it should be possible, and the reason for that is Momonga's battle against the Kingdom of Re Estize.

In the battle he used Super Tier magic to summon the young of Shub Nigurath and unless those are somehow native to this universe, which is quite unlikely, Shub Nigurath has the power to transport individuals into different worlds.

To achieve that one would need a magic caster capable of casting a spell for that purpose as well a sacrifice sufficient enough to call upon the power of Shub Nigurath.

In case one doesn't have access to a large enough sacrifice it would probably also be possible to call upon another entity of Shub Nigurath's power level, but I am not very knowledgeable about lovecraftian horror, so I don't think it would be wise to annoy an outer god that might be unwilling to help or use the opportunity to invade our world or something...

I thought about this because I am not quite sure I want to stay in this world for the rest of my life, since heteromorphic races are generally disliked here and I will not delude myself that we can defend against the whole world forever.

So I would rather take whatever I can and then get the hell out of here.

The most problematic point will be to actually find someone capable of casting the spell since Momonga was the only magic caster in Nazarick capable of doing so.

Also NPCs as far as I know can't attain additional class levels or even break the level cap.

At least until we find a way around that particular restriction.

The easiest option would be to find a capable magic caster in the New World and get them to perform the spell, but since there most likely isn't someone capable of that, we would need to recruit someone with enough aptitude and support their development with Nazaricks treasures.

In that case I would just need to get the other inhabitants of Nazarick to coorperate with an outsider.

They most likely won't accept any humans, so that limits the choices to heteromorphs.

I went through the possible choices and ended up with one of my favorite characters from the show.

Evileye.

She is a strong magic caster and knowledgeable enough to develop a spell suited for Nazarick's needs.

(And she is pretty cute, not like that pervert Shalltear.)

The plan is set then I suppose.

Now comes the difficult part of convincing the others of my decisions.

(A short while later)

I had slowly walked in the direction of the coliseum guarded by Aura and Mare.

As soon as I entered I saw Aura running in my direction, Mare slowly jogging behind her.

"Ah! Greetings Lady Albedo! We have already been informed about the meeting that is going to be held here, but the other floor guardians have yet to arrive."

Aura said immediately after stopping in front of me and leaving a cloud of dust behind her.

Soon after Mare also arrived before speaking in a timid voice.

"Greetings lady Albedo."

"Greetings to you to Aura and Mare. Also don't be too worried that the others have yet to arrive. This meeting might be important, but we are not running short on time." I explained.

"May I ask what the meeting is about then?" Aura asked.

I paused for a short moments, since I didn't know how exactly they would react if I told them, what I told Sebas.

I had known that Sebas would be capable of handling such information, but the pair of dark elves before was rather childlike in both body and mind.

'Even though they are almost 90 years old if I remember.'

The guild members or "Supreme Beings" were more or less a parental figures for them as well as the object of their reverence.

Their own creator had already left a long time ago and I knew it weighted heavily on their mind.

Telling them that the last of them had left might be too much for them to handle.

"I will explain everything once all floor guardians have arrived, so please be patient until then." I answered eventually before all three of us returned to silence.

Then I heard a [Gate] appear behind me, through it strode the most annoying flat chested vampire in the world.

"I see the others have yet to arrive, such terrible manners." Shalltear spoke, her voice sounding as obnoxious as ever.

Then Aura began to whisper something I could barely make out.

"The only reason you are already here is because you can't fit anymore pads into your bra..."

"WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY?!" Shalltear screeched, almost sounding like someone running their fingers down a chalk board.

"I said you are flat as a board!" Aura retorted in a now clearly annoyed tone.

"At least I don't behave like an annoying brat." a red aura was gradually forming around Shalltear as she slowly became enraged.

"I AM a child when compared to other dark elves, what's your excuse." Even Aura was now beginning to exude a rather dangerous feeling.

I had seen enough of this already and used one of the many things I had learned through the anime I had watched.

I used the "Fist of Love" and struck down on their heads with a force that would have blown a normal human's head off.

Although in their case it only led to them becoming close acquaintances with the ground.

And as dictated by anime physics, comically huge bumps appeared on their heads.

'Holy fuck! This shit works!"

As both of them began to lift their heads from the ground, they began looking furiously at me while slowly rubbing their heads.

""Hey!"" they exclaimed at the same time, before trying to murder each other with their looks again.

I turned around just to see Demiurge and Cocytus coming into the arena and just behind them Sebas.

We exchanged short greetings before slowly returning to silence, even Aura and Shalltear had stopped bickering at each other and were now expectantly looking at me.

"Might I ask what the purpose of this rather spontaneous meeting is, Lady Albedo." spoke Demiurge eventually.

I turned my head to Sebas, searching for a sign of confirmation.

He seeing that I obviously didn't know if I should tell them just closed his eyes and nodded.

I slowly breathed in and out before turning back to my fellow floor guardians.

"I have called you here today to discuss the future of Nazarick, due to the fact that we are currently in a rather peculiar predicament and need to react immediately for Nazarick's survival."

Before I even got the chance to confront the absences of all "Supreme Beings", I was interrupted by Cocytus.

"What "predicament" could be threatening enough to endanger Nazarick as a whole, without any of us noticing and shouldn't Lord Momonga be present for a meeting of such importance?"

The expecting faces that had turned to Cocytus during his question now turned back to me, obviously having similar questions in their mind.

"That actually brings me to the most pressing matter of today's meeting."

I waited, but I knew there would never be a good moment to tell someone that their god had left them behind, so I chose to simply get things over with.

"Lord Momonga will not be attending this meeting, because he has left like the other Supreme Beings before him. None of the Supreme Beings remain to decide about the future actions of Nazarick."

Silence.

It was very similar to what had happened after I told Sebas, but at the same time it was so much worse.

Sebas was designed to have a strong and just character that could put the well being of others above his own emotions.

The others though...

Shalltear had gone completely quiet and was now simply looking at the ground.

A dark shadow was looming above her face, that had been so full of emotions just minutes ago.

Mare had an overall very similar expression.

Cocytus was, due to insectoid features, hard to read, so I could only assume that his mind was in similar turmoil to the others.

Even Demiurge's everpresent smirk had disappeared from his face and he was now showing a rather blank expression.

I knew the Albedo on show had cared for all of Nazarick's inhabitants even though there was lot of smaller disputes between them.

And no matter what I might say or do, it won't change the simple fact that I care about them just as much.

So the first sound that I heard after what must have been a good 20 seconds of silence almost broke my heart.

I looked at Mare.

A quiet sobbing slowly echoed through the arena.

I... did not know what to do.

So I did the only thing that I knew how to do at the moment.

I slowly walked over to him and knelt down on one knee, so that we now had a similar height.

I opened my arms and put them around him before pulling him into a tight hug, one of my hands slowly stroking the back of his head.

Then he stopped holding back his tears and began crying.
