Waking Up in a New World

"ugh.. what happen last night..." Juno Watanabe sat up slowly and looked around the unfamiliar yet familiar forest surroundings half asleep and with a mild headache, "Did I fall asleep in a forest after having one too many drinks?" He closed his eyes and rested his hand on his forehead to clear his mind.

Juno Watanabe was an average 30-year-old man. In his early childhood, his mother died from childbirth and his father died when he was only 9 in front of him because of a botched bank robbery. The robber anxiously pointed his gun at the worker when his father tried to take it away, only to get shot in the chest. his father died in the little boy's arms before the paramedics arrived.

A now orphan Juno had to have someone to take care of him. His grandparents didn't want him along with his mother's sister so he was in the care of his uncle, his father's brother.

Juno's uncle was an uptight and strict man. He owns a dojo where he taught different types of swordsmanship. He forced Juno to learn whenever he had free time. Although Juno was very talented with a sword, even his strict uncle had to admit that he was a prodigy, he was never interested following the swordsman's path, much to his uncle's disappointment. Though he did practice to keep his body in shape.

After the death of his father's death, Juno found very little meaning in his life which was strange for a 9-year-old. He didn't have any ambition nor anyone to make proud, so he wanted to be average.

Juno Watanabe went to an average school and got average grades. He didn't make a lot of friends due to his antisocial and introverted nature, so he went to the library and read a lot, one of his favorite activities. One of the things that nobody except for his father knew about him is that he was very smart, he knew things that no 9 year old would know and had an eidetic memory. Due to his little to no ambition and not wanting to stick out, he never showed his talents.

His lifestyle of reading and practicing swordsmanship continued on throughout the elementary and high school years. One of the enjoyments he found during high school was anime and manga. He heard a lot of classmates and students talking about it so he decided to try and out to see what the fuss was about. Once he watched it he couldn't stop. It became one of his favorite activities and did it regularly. Some of his favorites were Naruto, Highschool DxD (though he didn't like some characters like Issei and Rias, he still enjoyed it), Bleach, and RWBY.

After completing high school with average grades, he moved on to an average college and graduated with more average grades. After graduating, Juno became just another salaryman.

Throughout his life, Juno became increasingly bored with life. The only thing that gave his life joy was anime and manga. He never pursued any relationship because he didn't have any interest (he is straight), though numerous women were interested due to the handsome appearance he got from his mother.

One morning when he walked into the company building, he was called into his boss's office and was fired, he wasn't giving a specific reason, just the usual excuses. Juno walked out and went back home and went back to sleep and think about it later.

Juno woke up and it was about 6:28 p.m, with nothing else to do after getting fired from his job, he went to the liquor store and bought some alcohol and get drunk. After numerous beers later he was in a drunken haze, he went back to bed at about 11:00 p.m if his drunken eyes were right.

Opening his eyes back up, Juno looked around his surroundings. He was in a clearing with a small river in a mountainous area with many cliffs and is covered by a forest of red-leafed trees, allowing the whole area to appear as a dust-red color, even with the grass.

Juno Watanabe allows a confused, yet curious look on his face. "Why does this place look like the Forever Fall forest in RWBY?" He decided to think about it after getting a drink from the nearby small river. But once he looked into the water, he had a very shocked look on he face

"What the f*ck?"

What was reflected on the water was a young skinny boy, (10-12 years old if he guessed right) with shaggy shoulder-length auburn hair with streaks of brown. The face was scarred with an SDC brand mark across his left eye, which was bloodied with a gray iris and red sclera with a no eyebrow, as opposed to his remaining blue eye and brown eyebrow. Above his forehead was small, slanted back black bull-like horns.

It only took Juno 10 seconds to recognize this face. It was a young Adam Taurus, Leader of the White Fang, Beast to the Beauty, an antagonist to the RWBY Series.

Suddenly falling to his knees, Juno was assaulted with a massive headache, it was as if his brain was splitting in two. Grimacing, he held the side of his head and gritted his teeth so that he wouldn't be able to scream in pain. Chaotic memories that were not his started to enter his mind.

Memories and experiences of Adam Taurus started flooding his mind. Memories of Adam's family, death of his parents and sister by racist humans, getting forced into the Faunus labor force that served the Schnee Dust Company, getting whipped and abused to work faster, branded with the SDC logo on his face, and finally killing the boss and running away into the Forever Fall forest.

Memories of Adam Taurus and Juno Watanabe started to fight against each other. After seemed like an eternity the memories and experiences of Adam and Juno started assimilating and combining as if their souls were joining together.

Around Juno/Adam's body, a fierce red and back aura blinding the surroundings before entering back into his body as if nothing happened.

The pain subsided and Juno/Adam let his hands fall to his sides and slowly opened his eyes. Once his eyes opened, his sky blue eye glowed and looked as if it radiated power, but his scarred grey one was lifeless and dull.

"How did I become Adam f*cking Taurus?! I just fell asleep after getting drunk..." Although Juno was confused, he was also incomparably excited. This is what he wanted in life, excitement! He wanted to become stronger, stronger than Ozma, Salem, even the Gods of Darkness and Light!

"I am no longer Juno Watanabe or Adam Taurus, I will become a new person. Since this is Adam Taurus' body, I will rename myself Adam W. Taurus. I will become strong just like Adam wanted and find excitement in life as Juno wanted!" The newly named Adam looked at his young, thin hand and clenched it into a fist. Red and black aura started flooding out of his body and grinned in excitement.

"Thankfully I have eidetic memory so I know the timeline. I have to start planning on what route I want to take...
