Menagerie

Stepping off the boat and onto the Menagerie's harbor, Adam W. Taurus finally got a close look at the famous "safe haven for faunus." The island itself was full of natural tropical beauty with tropical trees and bright green grass. Before the main harbor of Menagerie sat small stalls that sold items and trinkets to incoming travelers. Behind the stalls sat houses made of wood in all shapes and size, though a bit chaotic, gave a nice tropical homely feel to the whole island.

Most, if not all, of the inhabitants of the island, were faunus. But these faunus weren't like the ones in Vale and Atlas, where they would be tense, constantly looking over their shoulder, the faunus inhabiting Menagerie was bright, cheerful, and felt like they belong here.

Looking and the surroundings, the bull faunus was finally in Menagerie after a month's worth of travel. The time would have been shorter if he did not stop every day to do some training. He did not need to immediately go to Menagerie so it was fine to stop and train his body and skills.

Setting off down the road to the middle of town, Adam was looking for the biggest house where Ghira Belladonna, Chieftain of Menagerie and High Leader of White Fang resides with his family so that he may join White Fang.

His plan was to join the organization and become a member and after Sienna Khan becomes the next High Leader he would leave to become a mercenary. A mercenary in the RWBY world is a Huntsman or Hunter not affiliated with the four kingdoms, unlike a rouge which abandoned their position.

After asking for directions from a nice faunus resident, he arrived upon a grand house he knocks on the big double doors and stood back, waiting for an answer.

"Hello?" A female voice comes from behind the doors while being open, "how may I help you?" Kali Belladonna asks while opening the doors. Kali was a cat Faunus with black hair, yellow eyes, and large cat ears on the top of her head. She has short hair and three gold piercings on her cat ears - two on her right, and one on her left.

"I'm looking for Ghira Belladonna, is he here?" Adam replies in a bored tone of voice.

"He's not here at the moment, he is at a White Fang meeting. If you want you can wait for him inside?" Looking at the boy with a slight tilt to the head and a curious look on her face.

"Thank you."

Walking into the house with Kali leading them into the living room, Adam sat down on the chair.

"Just wait here while I get some refreshments," Kali says while walking to the kitchen, "My husband Ghira should be here in a few minutes."

Adam was alone in the living room, he had to create a believable story of why an 11-year-old boy wanted to join a peaceful activist organization. Usually, children, his age would be carefree to the world around them. 'I might need to use a bit of pity for the story to actually work.'

Kali Belladonna returned to the living room carrying a tray of tea with sugar cubes, before setting it down on the table and handing him a cup. "Here you go, it might be a little hot for you at the moment."

"Thank you for your hospitality." Bringing the cup to his lips and taking a sip, it was a little scalding, but that's how he liked it.

The atmosphere shifted into a bit of awkward silence. Kali didn't know much about the boy and didn't know how to start a conversation with him while Adam was a quiet person in general, only talking when spoken to. Thankfully they were saved from the awkward atmosphere when Ghira Belladonna walked through the front door.

"Kali, I'm home!" A loud male voice comes from the front door

"Excuse me for a moment." Kali looks towards Adam apoplectically while standing up and moving to the voice.

Kali returns with an intimidating man in front of her. Ghira is a tall, muscular man with black hair, a short beard and yellow eyes. He wore an open dark violet vest that shows his chest. A pair of long, extended fingerless gloves reached his upper arms, and he wore beige pants and brown leather boots. In addition, he wore an original white fang emblem pin attached to a few leather straps and shoulder pads.

"Hello, my name is Ghira Belladonna, what is yours?"

"Adam W. Taurus."

"I heard from my wife that you're looking for me?" Ghira asked with a curious tone. He sat down on the couch with Kali standing behind him.

"I want to join the White Fang." The bull faunus told them neutrally.

Kali and Ghira looked at each other in a little shock by his answer. "Why do you want to join? Kids your age shouldn't be thinking about these matters." Ghira asked bluntly.

Releasing a small breath, Adam brought his hand towards his mask and unclipped it from his face, showing the two faunus his Schnee Dust Company brand mark across his left eye. The effect was immediate, Kali and Ghira flinched and looked away. Ghira clenched his fists tightly while Kali looked in horror bringing her hand to cover her mouth. Before Ghira could explode with anger, Kali put a calming hand on his shoulder.

"I don't want to live in a world where people who are different then others will be traded and branded as property. I want to create a world where all is equal no matter the differences. A world where faunus and humans can stand together side by side. To understand one another and to share their pain and burdens. I believe that White Fang is a good place to start." This was mostly true. Due to the fact that Adam Taurus' and Juno Watanabe's soul combined they not only combined their personalities, it also combined their goals and dreams. Juno's being finding excitement in life and ambition to become the strongest and Adam's being the equality of faunus and humans. Although the new Adam wouldn't follow in the same footsteps and the original Adam, he still had the dream of equality in the back of his mind.

Looking at the young faunus boy in front of them, Ghira and Kali kept giving the boy looks of shock and amazement. A boy their daughter's age had experienced and grown so much that they felt a small amount of pity.

Looking at the boy in front of him, Ghira gave him his answer, "Well Adam, you may join the White Fang but remember that the White Fang is a peaceful activist organization created to improve relations between Humans and Faunus, there is no violence permitted at these protests."

"I understand."

"Do you have a place to stay? If not, you can stay with our family tonight and work out a plan tomorrow." Kali asked kindly.

"No thank you, I have enough money that I 'stole' from bandits."

"You can at least stay for dinner," Ghira told the young faunus while ignoring the way he got the money, "Your always welcome in our home."

"Thank you for your offer, I'll be happy to join for dinner," Adam replied neutrally.

After talking for a few more minutes, Adam decided to leave the Belladonna parents to find himself somewhere to stay for the remainder of his stay at Menagerie while promising to come to their dinner.
