Chapter 3: 2 Years Old

Ehem! I, Henrietta Fleur Gyrn, the only daughter of the Priminister, Duke Gyrn, has now turned two.

I can walk and speak properly now. It seems that it run through our blood. The Gyrn descendants are said to be geniuses. Thus, I started my plan to make my family adore and love me~ Well, I don't need to do anything but to speak childishly and blink my beautiful eyes, and everyone will do what I want! Hehehe~ Thanks to my Mama and Papa for giving me this beautiful genes.

Anyway, I want to change the pet name that they gave me. When they are calling me Rietta, goosebumps run along my skin. It feels like my doom is nearing! I can't have that!

So, whenever I'm speaking to them I'm calling my self 'Anri'. And it seems my plan to change my pet name is gradually taking its effect.

"Anri, I'll take you to the garden, okay?"

My ears perked when I heard my new pet name. My~ it's pleasant to my ears. And my brother Regie will bring me out! Yey! It's so boring to my room, which is the nursery. The maids won't let me get out of my room. I can only go outside if my family brings me out. Sadly, they are all protective me and won't let me out.

"Really? Brother Regie will bring me outside?" As I ask him, my eyes are shining brightly. Hehehe! Need to act cute and childish~ This six years old brother of mine can't resist my charm. Only my older brother can resist my charm. Sob, sob, sob. Older brother was eight years old this year and he's attending the Academy right now. I wonder when will he be back.

"Really! But Anri must behave. It's a secret that we're going out, understand?" He said while making a 'shush' gesture.

I nodded my head eagerly. My, I'm so lucky today!

He carried me and we sneak out of my room. As we made our way to the garden we didn't encounter anyone. So lucky!

When we arrive at the garden, I can't believe what I saw. Roses are blooming everywhere! Red, white, yellow and oh my golly! Is that a rainbow colored rose?

I pull my brother's sleeve.

"Brother, brother! I want to see that rose!" I pointed at the rainbow colored rose at the center. It's in the inner circle of many circle of different colors of roses.

"Anri we can only look a far for that rose. Mama said that rose was magical. It's always blooming and never withers. She said that fairies are guarding that rose. And they won't let anyone approach it."

Eh? Such a beautiful rose but we can only look in distance. So sad. My lips are pouting and my eyes are watering. I want to see it in closer distance!

I looked up at my brother.

"Can we go closer? Please..." I said pitifully.

My brother looked troubled. Oh...

Sigh. I don't want to trouble my brother. Maybe when I'm grown up, I can see it up close! I'll add that to my list of goals!

"REGINAAAAAAALLLLD!!!"

My brother stiffened and paled.

Uh oh. It seems we are busted. But we haven't stayed long enough for them to notice.

Sob. Sob. Sob.
