9 Chapter 9 : Tenketsu Activation

It took another 2 months to successfully control and move his "od" through his body. Shirou's "od" was too low. Controlling and moving it was very difficult as just the slightest slips in focus caused the energy to dissipate. The Tenketsu counteracts this problem. Once all the "od" is used up a person would die. Luckily the body would start showing signs like weakness and exhaustion when physical energy becomes dangerously low, people can even lose consciousness. This is the same for chakra refinement as well. Otherwise, Shirou and others would have trained themselves to death. Because of the nature of Shirou's training, he started eating much more. Luckily the orphanage was run by good people and the financial situation was also good. But Shirou did not like having to rely on others. This was the very thing that caused his past life self to be chained and be ordered around because he had commitments.

'I need to find a way to earn money fast. In a few months, I will be 4 years old. I am sure by then I will have mastered chakra somewhat to be able to attend the academy. Doing a part-time job that aligns with my skills will be possible. I already have the perfect job in mind. Weaponsmithing.' - Shirou.

As a sword incarnate Shirou will be able to grasp any objects related to the concept of swords to levels far beyond normal limits. Shirou was currently in the library reading a book about sealing jutsu or Fuinjutsu. Fuinjutsu is incredibly strong as it is shown being able to seal humongous chakra monsters like the nine tails and even Kaguya. The more he read about it the more he realized that it is a type of programming. The characters and the words they formed, reminded Shirou of statements and expressions. Being a beginner book, it describes only a few seals. Shirou was a skilled programmer in his past life, so he decided to include Fuinjutsu into his arsenal. He had the idea of combining swords with seals to make mystic codes. More like mystic swords.

The problem with Fuinjutsu was that the books only contained basic things about sealing. The advanced sealing techniques were kept secret. Shirou needed to know how it all works if he wanted to create his own seals.

'Structural Grasping advanced seals should show me how they function. There has to be other ways as well. After all people like Orochimaru, Tsunade, Kushina and many others were able to decrypt and create their own Fuinjutsu techniques. Heck, Tobirama was able to create a technique to raise the dead. It was like the servant summoning ritual of the holy grail war from Nasuverse. Maybe my yin energy-based sensing technique can also help.' - Shirou.

After leaving the library Shirou went home and started his mediation again.

'My gut is telling me I can finally do it today.' - Shirou.

Shirou ignored everything and focused only on himself. He began controlling "od" to pass through his Tenketsu. With all the previous training his energy control had reached unprecedented levels. After a bit of struggling Shirou finally managed to pass it through. The sensation, the feeling of his Tenketsu is very unique. It was like suddenly realizing you had something you didn't know until now. You can't help but think "How could I have missed that". It was like you suddenly realized you had an extra arm this whole time.

Shirou focused on moving this new arm which is his Tenketsu. There was some shift within his cells, he could feel it. He was getting closer and closer to the right way to move this new arm. Finally, the refining process started. The yin energy inside his Tenketsu merged with yang energy in the cells changing into chakra. Shirou felt his Tenketsu slowly filling up with "od" but it should be called chakra now. Since chakra is extracted using Tenketsu, the efficiency was much greater than "od". Energy wastage was less, conversion was faster and it could even be stored in the Tenketsu.

Shirou was really happy. He had finally started his ninja journey or should he call it Magus journey. No, Shirou was not a ninja or a magus. The ideas, training and plans he is making to get stronger will very likely go against the traditions and ideologies of both Ninjas and Magi. Ninjas were made to believe that everything they do should be for the future and prosperity of the village. Magi on the other hand have only one goal, to reach the root. They research, accumulate knowledge, improve their magic crest and pass it all on to their children so they can repeat the process until one day, a descendant will have enough knowledge, skill and power to finally reach the root. But Shirou is different, he won't go out of his way like the original Shirou to protect everyone and the village or leave behind knowledge so others can finish what he started. He will learn everything he can, he will innovate with ideas they deem impossible or ignore and he will do everything he can to become powerful.

Shirou continued refining chakra until his limit. He waited for his body to recover physical energy and continued refining. Finally, his chakra reserves were full.

Shirou went to find Ishida who was in his office. Since the guy was a sensor, Shirou guessed he might immediately realize. Shirou opened the door.

"Hey, guess what happened." - Shirou.

Ishida who doing paperwork heard Shirou and looked up to see him. After a moment he sensed it. Shirou was surprised because jaw-dropping scenes shown in anime are not realistically possible but looking right now at Ishida's face, it came very close.

"Crazy brat... you actually did it." - Ishida.

In response, Shirou flashed him a megawatt smile.

"Of Course I did. Believe it." - Shirou.

'Did I time it correctly? Who cares, I always wanted to say it.' - Shirou.
