The mansion

"What is your real name, Nightmare?" asked Noah as they approached the entrance of the mansion.

Leo was hesitant to speak his name at first, Noah was a normal client and could probably sell any information about them to other parties, but he also invited them to his mansion and showed him their warehouse.

In the end, Leo decided to tell Noah his true name.

"My true name is Leo, why is it important to you?" asked Leo.

Noah clicked his tongue upon hearing this question.

"You will be staying at my house, is it that suspicious that I want to know your name?"

Leo immediately went silent because Noah had a point.

Two guards opened the door of the mansion and Leo entered along with Noah and his other squadmates.

He was greeted with a vast interior and in front of him was a big staircase.

"Alyona will escort you to a separate room where a medic is waiting, he will be able to renew your bandages and check up on your wounds."

a woman wearing a maid outfit walked in front of Leo and the squad, she looked void of her emotions.

"I am Alyona, please follow me."

Alyona started walking up the stairs.

Leo, Artemis and Crawler quickly followed her, not questioning her appearance.

Leo slowed down a bit and started walking next to Artemis and Crawler.

"Nightmare, Crawler, stay on guard. This feels a bit suspicious."

Crawler let out a grunt of approval and so only after that, did they reach the room where the medic was.

It was nothing compared to the medical bay at the temporary camp, it was a simple room with a hospital bed and some medicine along with a couple of rolls of bandages.

"Sir Artemis, please follow me. Since you have no injuries we will be escorting you to your room." spoke Alyona.

Artemis seemed hesitant at first but then gave a nod towards Crawler before following the maid.

Crawler was the first to be treated and Leo leaned against the wall to observe the doctor's movements.

If the doctor made one wrong move or reached for one wrong vial Leo would not hesitate to kill him.

Nothing suspicious happened and after ten minutes the doctor was done.

Crawler got some painkillers and had his bandages refreshed.

Alyona was also in the room waiting for Crawler to finish and the moment he was done he was also escorted to his room.

"Sir Leo, please take a seat on the bed." said the doctor

Leo quickly countered.

"No thanks, I don't need to be checked up on. Just give me some painkillers and I will be on my way."

The doctor looked at Leo suspiciously.

"I insist, it was a direct order from sir Noah to check up on your squad. I will not be able to sleep well today knowing I failed to obey his orders."

Leo snorted upon hearing this.

"You won't be checking up on me. Either you give me a painkiller and I leave or I will be taking my leave right now."

The doctor let out a sigh before handing Leo a bottle of pills.

"Here, I will report this to sir Noah though."

Leo didn't even respond and simply walked out of the room without saying anything.

When Leo exited the room he spotted Alyona waiting for him.

"Sir Leo, please allow me to escort you to your room."

Leo nodded and followed Alyona.

He was taken up the stairs once again to the top floor.

Leo looked stunned when he arrived on the top floor.

Everything on the top floor was made of marble and gold, it looked like something straight out of a fairy tale.

"Here is your room sir Leo. Later today a maid will come to your room to take you to the dining table, a bathroom is next to your room with all the sanitary products you need."

Alright, thanks Alyona. Where are my other teammates though?" asked Leo.

Alyona went silent for a second before speaking again.

"Your comrades are in a different building made especially for guests to stay in."

Leo was baffled upon hearing this since he was practically getting VIP treatment for no reason, but he did not complain about it.

Alyona bowed before walking away and Leo opened the door to his room.

He let out a gasp of surprise when he saw his room.

Outside of the room, everything was made out of marble, but his room looked like a room out of the wild west that only the 1% could own.
