138 Gate

However, Leo also expected that there would be guards.

Taking the elevator up was no longer an option, it was simply too risky.

After all, if someone bumped into Leo it would not take long for them to realize what had happened.

Leo already had a backup plan, but it would limit his time severely.

Luckily he had shaved off some time by sprinting instead of walking, so it was mostly fine.

Leo had memorized this route in case something like this would happen, so he didn't have to take out his map.

Or at least he hoped so, the last thing he would want to do is to take a wrong turn and get lost.

After walking for a while Leo arrived at the stairs.

In case of an emergency, the stairs were to be used if the elevator wasn't able to transport enough people.

There were also a lot of guards walking up and down the stairs, but it was easier to take the stairs than to take the elevator.

Leo quickly made his way up the stairs, he had to take it slow in order to make sure that he would not bump into anyone.

At this point Leo also noticed a massive influx of guards leaving the heavy containment zone instead of securing it in order for someone to deactivate the warhead.

This probably meant that they had found out that someone tampered with the door.

Leo also couldn't help but think about the O5 that got him locked up here in the first place.

He wondered where he was right now, Leo just assumed that he had evacuated a while ago.

Leo wanted to know which O5 attempted to get him to capture, but even if he learned which one it was it wasn't like he could do anything yet.

Overseers were still far out of his reach, even a non-anomalous overseer was powerful when it came to the backing he had.

Not to mention that if he had to deal with an anomalous overseer that he would be in big trouble.

If Leo wanted to deal with an overseer he would first need information on them, which was already hard to get.

Leo thought back on the mission with Banshee where she got information on an overseer.

Leo wondered if he could somehow get the information from here, but quickly shook off the thought.

For now it was a massive threat to do so since Leo was most likely not going to be returning to MC&D, not to mention that the foundation already knew that the information got leaked, the overseer would surely have been moved to a different location by now.

After three minutes of continuously trying to dodge guards and not bump into them while heading up the stairs, Leo finally arrived back in the light containment zone.

The stress level was way lower than in the heavy containment sector, although a lot of researchers and foundation staff were still panicking.

When Leo passed the warhead room in the light containment sector he saw that it was being heavily guarded by about fifteen guards, they assumed that the person who armed the warhead in the heavy containment sector would be coming for the one in the light containment zone aswell.

Little did they know that the perpetrator just passed by.

[Warning: Five minutes of invisibility left.]

At this point, Leo was nearing the exit of the site.

He still had to make a lot of tempo since if he didn't he would be too late and he would get caught out at the entrance zone.

The entrance zone was very small, it was mostly just a gate in order to stop any massive threats.

However, when he arrived he finally saw the damage that the insurgency had done.

The massive gate was blown open and there was all kinds of equipment needed for emergency repairs scattered around the gate.

Most of the construction workers had fled to the shelter due to the warhead threat, so Leo could easily and quickly escape through one of the holes.

The gate appeared to be blown up by semtex or some kind of other plastic explosives.
