25 Departure

When Leo got up, he exactly knew what to do.

Although Sogrith mentioned that he had to depart the moment he woke up, he had some other plans first.

He first took a nice warm shower before heading downstairs and heading to the general store.

The general store was owned by a young man and it did not contain a lot of things.

All of the food in the store was canned and there were some bottles of water as well.

In such a rural village it was normal for people to provide for themselves.

Leo took a couple cans of food and some bottles of water along with a backpack.

Along with that, Leo bought something very specific, hydrogen peroxide.

Leo was shocked that they had it in such a remote place, but he didn't complain about it nor question it.

He assumed that they had it there since it was generally used for cleaning wounds and scrapes, however, Leo would be using it to create wounds.

The store owner gave Leo the supplies for free and Leo went to his next destination

Leo headed towards the clothing shop of the village

Nothing interesting happened inside, Leo just bought another cloak and some clothes to wear underneath it.

After all of that Leo was finally done and headed back to his room in the inn, making his final preparations.

When Leo got back at the inn he quickly went to his room before locking his room, preparing for a test.

He remembered that he had two vials of acid still in his old backpack from back when he fought the cultist leader and he got an idea.

However, before that, he tried something else.

Leo made a small incision in a vein and let some blood drip out in a glass.

His blood was way darker than it originally was, and it probably was due to the acidic blood trait he picked up.

After Leo had enough of his blood in the glass he closed off the wound he created by applying firm pressure.

Leo added some of the hydrogen peroxide to the glass and waited before dropping in a small piece of meat.

Nothing happened and Leo sighed, but it was what he expected.

Up next, Leo added a bit of the acid that was in the vials to the glass and added hydrogen peroxide before heating and stirring it a bit.

When Leo put in a piece of meat a violent reaction occurred and within minutes was the cube gone.

A smile appeared on Leo's face as he started making more of the solution and putting it back in the two vials.

What Leo had made was known as piranha solution, something that was capable of destroying most things out of carbon.

After putting as much of the solution in the two vials as he could he finally started packing

He packed his backpack with food and water.

He also still had some tactical gear laying around from when he killed Hawk.

It wasn't much, but he brought the handgun along with him and a spare magazine.

He didn't have a lot of bullets left and after looting the corpses of the combatives he killed he found out that they carried different weapons on them.

Next up Leo put on the cloak, It looked pretty good on him.

He put on the backpack and he was ready for his departure.

Leo headed downstairs and Yasha was shocked to see Leo equipped with all of his tools.

"Please don't tell me you are leaving..." she asked frightfully.

Leo simply responded with a nod.

"We won't be able to live without you! what if they come back! Please stay!" she begged.

Leo responded without a care in the world.

"They won't come back as long as you keep praying to Sogrith, he will protect you."

"At least wait a second!" Yasha yelled.

Yasha left the receptionist's desk and went into the back.

She came back with Poppy.

"Why are you leaving mister? Can't you stay with us?" Poppy asked with tears in her eyes.

Leo kneeled down for Poppy before responding with a warm smile on his face.

"I have to go to protect other people, we don't want those mean people to hurt other people, do we?"

Poppy nodded sadly.

"Please come visit us again mister, I will miss you." she said before returning to the back.

Leo simply nodded toward Yasha and left the building.

And with the reinsurance of Sogrith, he walked back into the forest and continued on with his journey.

"Let's see what this world has in store for me!"
