1 chapter 1:why am i here
'where am i' I thought as I woke up and couldn't see anything 'how dark is it here' I thought as I felt my way around the strange place I was in after feeling around I came to a conclusion 'im in an oval...yea I have no idea where I am' I thought as I felt around even more 'wait what if I can break this' I thought as I now start punching a part of the surface. after 2 punches I heard a crack 'wow it's working' I thought as I punched harder and just realized 'i have more than 2 arms' i thought as I kept punching until the shell broke.
'well I'm free' i thought as I looked around and saw tons of eggs and looked down to see that I just came out an egg 'what am i' I thought as I looked down and saw tentacles 'so I'm a squid or an octopus' i thought as I somehow knew how to swim and started swimming around I looked at the eggs as I kept swimming I saw a huge ravine and a tentacle came out and went above me I quickly swam down and hid under a few of my siblings.
I heard a few noises and a voice saying "one of them hatched already? I must find my child" and then I looked up to see many tentacles going to the huge ravine I saw 'i safe I think' i thought as I swam from under the other eggs and looked at the tentacle that was still moving as I looked further I saw way more but I could not count them all I was generally terrified but I kept calm and decided to go up because something told me that there would be less huge monsters up there and so I began swimming up.
'after an uncertain amount of time, I can see a slight yellow shine' i thought as I kept swimming up as I kept swimming I heard

'what the heck was that' i thought as I stopped swimming for a moment as a screen clouded my vision

'huh....why is this up now and why did I not get it earlier' i thought as I looked at the screen [it was supposed to be here when you were reborn as a human but because of an intervention by the sea god] the new genderless voice in my head said 'who is that' i thought as I could not speak yet [i am the system that was installed by the sea god when he too-borrowed your soul and turned you into an octopuss] the system responded 'first of its called an octopus and secondly WHY NOT A HUMAN OR MERMAN' i responded angrily [well the reason for not human is simple...he's the god of the sea, not earth the reason for merman is because there was almost none with enough bloodline until he found this creature with a 100% purity bloodline which should be impossible ] the system responded (and he thought it would be boring for you to be a merman) 'what was that last part'[nothing]
after a while of swimming, I made it to the surface and looked around 'if this is my new world I will thrive' and then I started swimming
