Reborn as a lawgiver in an era of humiliation

Chapter 1

My name is Sudhanshu and I work as a Judge in a district court. My day starts with listening to same soap opera dramas any family law judge is familiar with. It has become so predictable that even before submissions happen I know what is going to happen.

I did not marry as I, in my youth rejected women after women due to my arrogance. This job gave me a weird god complex and that has led to a complete destruction of my social life. Now I trust only my P.A. Jain (his name is Ramesh but I just call him Jain) and the panwadi who makes my daily paan. This day was supposed to be like any normal day with me going to court, listening to a husband and wife fight over who will get what after separation while their children are silently crying, lunch where I stuff myself with kachori chole and raita and after lunch where there is no work. Then off to a taphri where I can get my daily paan. But as I cross the road today, I heard a loud voice shouting "Break fail, Break fail". I turned in shock, as an Eicher truck was bearing down on me. I tried to dodge but my head came under the wheel. As I felt my cranium collapsing around my brain, my life flashed around my eyes. I felt a sharp pain and then all went dark.
