2 Memory Integration

When Samuel recovered, he was in an ancient looking temple with marble pillars and golden floors.

'Holy shit, whoever lives here surely has it good! Eh, come to think of it, where am I?'

Then a figure walked in, a beautiful lady, no a goddess with black hair and olive skin!

"Morpheus, I need to talk to you! Stop avoiding me!" Her voice was like a heavenly trumpet, loud but beautiful.

"Who are you?" As a single man, he was indeed in awe of seeing such a beauty, but he didn't recall ever having met her.

"Ah, are you joking with me Morpheus? I came all this way, just so you could pretend not to know me?"

"Why are you here, and my name isn't Morpheus!"

[User <Samuel> is indeed Morpheus.]

'Oh hey look, it's the screen that popped up after I died!'

Gritting his teeth, he slapped the screen away and looked at the beauty.

[Randomly assigning memories.]

With a groan, Samuel fell forward, and the lady caught him and looked at him with concern on her face.

"Enough, what is going on, you're obviously delusional, but you're a god, how can you be delusional?"

Inside his mind, memories of eons long past appeared, however instead of the memories happening in first person, it was in third person.

'I'm Morpheus? But I'm obviously Samuel! But I'm Morpheus!'

Ugh, his mind separated and he felt an unknown clarity he never experienced before.

[Memory integration with user <Samuel> complete.]

'So this is the Percy Jackson Universe? And I've been reborn as a god? Then I'll live as I please!'

Looking at the femme fatale in front of him, he smiled nervously and gave a humorless chuckle.

"I'm fine Iris, my mind wandered a bit." Morpheus pushed himself up and looked around the familiar temple.

'If I didn't get his memories, I'd be clueless as fuck, holy shit, I'm a god now!'

Breaking into a thin lipped smile, he looked at Iris and walked out of his temple.

"Wait, don't tell me you tried to fake it so you can get out of descending to the mortal world!?"

Morpheus staggered then burst out laughing.

"My dear Iris, I simply forgot." Giving her a simple explanation, he looked outside and saw a floating mountaintop, hovering in the air.

'Mount Olympus, home of the gods...'

"Then let's go, besides, don't you have kids to claim? Might as well do it while we're down there."

Iris appeared next to him in an instant causing him to roll his eyes.

"I'm not gonna run, no need to stick so close."

Thunder shook Olympus, causing both their eyes to stray to the mountain top when a voice travelled into their ears.

"Morpheus and Iris, go to the mortal world now, and don't return unless I summon you back."

Knowing Zeus, if he didn't obey, an enormous bolt of lightning would strike him.

"As you command." Iris' figure flickered and vanished while Morpheus stood there with a blank expression on his face.

'The old man was right, even if I'm a god, I can't just laze around and do nothing even if it's in my job description.'

His figure vanished from the mountain top on which his temple was located.

...

When the surroundings returned, he met a familiar olive skinned beauty with long black hair glaring at him.

"I told you! If we didn't take so long, he wouldn't have kicked us out!" Iris eyes spat flames as she glared at Morpheus while he just laughed bitterly.

"Okay, okay, it's not that bad, okay it's my fault, don't worry, if you want to go back and blame it on me, you can." He shrugged his shoulders while looking at the sea below.

'I don't think I can ever go swimming again, lest Poseidon smite me with his trident. Fuck, being a god is confusing as fuck!'

He looked up and saw a thin path winding away into the distance, he didn't hesitate and started walking.

"And where do you think you're going?" Iris asked appearing in front if him, a hand placed on his chest.

"I'm gonna take my time, he just said to leave Olympus, but he didn't say I have to work!" Morpheus smirked and started to look through the memories again.

'Okay, I got teleportation down packed, as well as shape shifting, sounds cool, wait...'

'Can I be a loli?'

Morpheus' form shrunk and mist veiled his features as a small and petite girl with long silver hair and blue eyes appeared.

'Fuck. This is awesome!' Samuel, when he was human loved adorable and cute things, even as a guy, so being able to become small and cute made him happy.

"What's with that form Morpheus? It's rather cute." Iris snickered causing Morpheus' face to flush.

"Leave me alone Iris, go away!" Iris burst out laughing before glowing radiantly and vanishing.

Morpheus sighed and started walking again.
