34 Auction (3)

The silence didn't last for long.

"1.1 million!"

"1.2 million!"

"1.3 million!"

The bid increased steadily. It looks like Rinley is not the only who thinks the sword is special.

"1.5 million!" Rinley shouted again.

However, a low rumbling voice interjected, "Devil Gate Society bids 2 million!"

"…" The whole place was enveloped in silence. Nobody here does not know what the Devil Gate Society is.

The Devil Gate Society only emerged about one hundred years ago, however, they are known to be a fearsome bunch.

Nobody knows about the extent of their power but the group single-handedly decimated a prosperous kingdom years ago, exterminating their royal family in a bloody massacre. Still, nobody knows where their base is located, adding a layer of mystery to the group. It is only rumored that their leader is called the Devil King.

"I-If there are no more bids, this treasure---," the auctioneer hasn't finished the sentence yet when a clear voice interrupted.

"2.1 million!" Rinley gritted her teeth. She will need to scrape every single thing in her interspatial ring to come up with this amount. But that's not the thing which angered her the most. This bastard is actually using his identity to throw his weight around? So unfair! She cannot use her 'princess' identity right now.

"2.5 million!" the voice sounded again.

Rinley doesn't know what to do. She really has no more money ah. What should she do? Should she sell herself?

(Author: (-‸ლ) What to do with my silly MC? QAQ)

"Little brother seems very interested in that sword. If you really want it, I can lend you some spirit stones," fifth monkey's voice was like a heaven's sent to the despairing Rinley.

"Really?" Rinley asked with sparkling eyes. (ノ*゜▽゜*)

"Yes, really," fifth monkey smiled but there is an evil glint in his eyes.

Rinley was so excited that she didn't notice anything. She hastily increased the bid. "3 million!"

"3.1 million!"

"3.2 million!"

"3.3 million!"

Two voices sounded alternately in the auction house. The sword might be unique but truthfully, it has already exceeded its value. The lowest grade immortal treasure only costs around 3.5 million. This treasure might be upgradable to immortal grade but that will need a countless amount of resources and the help of an Immortal-level blacksmith.

"3.5 million!"

"3.8 million!"

"4 million!"

Rinley tried to be composed but inside, her heart is bleeding. So much spirit stones ah…

[Stop bidding… stop bidding] Rinley chanted in her mind with crossed fingers.

"4.2 million!"

"4.5 million!" Rinley said almost out of breath.

Finally, the bastard stopped and the auctioneer signaled the end of the bidding, "Sold to the VIP at room 301!"

In another room, a man wearing a black cloak was looking coldly as the auction proceeded. His Lord gave him a mission to get that sword at any cost.

"Have you confirmed the identities of those in room 301?"

"Yes chief, they are from the Yan Clan," another man in a similar cloak answered.

"Yan Clan?" The chief tapped his fingers on the hand rest. His hand was very pale, a stark contrast to his cloak.

"If we cannot buy it, then we can only forcefully seize it," the man said evilly.

He heard his Lord would be coming to the Origin Continental Realm soon. He was only delayed by something along the way. The chief wants to seize this chance to prove himself to His Lord.
