251 Wulfrik Strikes, The Battle of the Frozen Shores

(General POV)

Location the Norscan Shores, the Lands of the Graelings-Ruined Port

As the Dark Legion, was being organized by the daemonic commander, Kholek Suneater under Laharl/Ixion's direct command.

The surge of chaotic energies and the bending of the Winds of Magic, could be easily felt by all gathered around the burning ruins that once were the Graeling Port.

Ixion/Laharl, in his avatar state started to walk out the burning remains of the port, heading straight to the source of the disturbance...

In a few steps he was away from the ruble, ash, sulphur, and death, and the Dark One was walking upon snow covered grounds.

As a massive breach into the Realm of Chaos has opened before him, coming through said magical breach was a massive Norscan ship, immediately Laharl recognized it as a hardcore Chaos player of course one would know of the Wanderer's ship, the Seafang.

This made the Dark One, smirk with excitement as his first Norscan opponent is none other than Wulfrik the Wanderer...

Tightening the grip of Ixion's weapons, the Dark One will greatly enjoy taking the Seafang for his own...as for the Wanderer, he has plans for such a soul that will greatly benefit him and his legions in 40k.

Such as making the famed Eternal Wanderer into a future Chaos Space Marine, it would serve him and the forces of Chaos greatly if the all-tongue speaking Chaos Warrior, was super-enhanced and has access to greater equipment and weaponry.

But all that can wait just like the psyker sorceror he froze in time and space to serve as a future Chaos Marine, Corex Kal.

When he proved that he is as sinical, cunning, and power hungry as Eliphas the Inheritor, the Dark One immediately froze Corex, for later use...just like he'll do to Wulfrik once he lies defeated on his feet...

As the magical ship, was coming through completely out the breach into the shoreline waters some distance away from Ixion/Laharl, Khorne and Nurgle wished him good fortune inside their avatar, and to make it extra entertaining for them.

He mentally replied in a jovial manner, "Don't I always, brothers?" making both the Blood and Plague Gods laugh in their avatar.

All the while Kholek was making his way back followed closely by the Dark Legion's warriors, creatures, and daemons.

The daemonic dragon ogre shaggoth, held his giant warhammer, the Starcrusher, next to him were a few shaggoths and Titanomachy Chaos Giants of Carnage, Plague, and Blood all eager to shed more blood for the Warp Gods.

Following behind the Daemon Shaggoth Prince, were the army of mortal followers of the Dark Legion, ranging from undived marauders to nurglish ones, all lead by the Shardspeaker, the Hedonite sorceress Arrel-zhan, placed on a commanding role under direct word of Lord Suneater, so the khornate followers must obey her.

Hundreds of Chaos Knights and Warriors dedicated to Khorne, or Nurgle, or are Undivided wielding various swords, axes, or maces eager to be covered more blood, as well as several fimir also making part of the mortal forces of the Dark Legion.

The Blood-Drinkers, the khornate tribe of mortals were not yet sastified their bloodlust and were all frothing in the mouth, as Khornate Warriors alongside bloodreavers, blood warriors, and a few slaughterpriests were all still in a blood crazed frenzy...and crave more.

Behind them were the bloated, diseased-ridden followers of the Maggotking, slowly making their way to the upcoming battleground...

In-between the northmen and daemons of the Dark Legion were the frost eldars of the Bloodstained Winter Queen, Lady Crystallyl.

Hundred of various shi'lanorai were marching for battle in the name of the newest Carnage Queen and their Dark God, Laharl.

The daemonic legions of daemons were right behind the mortal followers of their dark masters.

Firstly ahead of the neverborns was the blood daemons made from bloodletters, flesh hounds, and slaughterbrutes were soaked in blood and have already claimed some skull for the true Blood God (40k Khorne) and they were eager for soo much more.

Next were the plague daemons plaguebearers making their way forward in a slow pace accompanied by swarms of nurglings rushing forward, along with the maggot daemons the infectors and some host baring infectors as well.

Lastly were the carnage daemons, the dark knight daemons the knightmares were rushing forward beside the gibbet cage daemons, the mortifinis, as the succubi were post in the rear, once their order to advance upon their prey many will fall to their dark charms, claws, and ring-blades.

All the while the hundred of gargoyle like daemons of Warp made, Chaos Furies were flying above them all eager to cause more anarchy and chaos upon their dark masters, enemies.

This was the full might of the 5500+ force of the Dark Legion of the Damned!!!

As they gathered behind their lord and master, Ixion Daemonhart in his Carnage Champion form as many of the northmen refer to the violet colored armor state of Ixion.

The Dark One commanded Ixion to rise his left arm, which held the morningstar, Wailmaker, signaling his forces to stop their march, which they did so right behind him.

As the Dark One was ready to strike at Amy moment, all that was left for is to wait for Wulfrik to disembark and face him and his army, and just as he waited for Wulfrik was the first to make landfall.

Walking towards them from the snowy shore of the area, was the heavy armored, viking like red-head mohawk and thick beard, Chaos Warrior, the infamous Wulfrik the Wanderer. (Picture his cinematic trailer in TWW-1 of him leading the march of his forces, only instead of blizzard obscure background, just imagine him coming out of a giant viking ship alongside his army.)

Once the Wanderer, with his tower shield at his left arm, his sword, Torgald, being dragged through the snow at his right and his fur pelt cape flowing in the cold wind.

His focus was solely on, Ixion as the army of Wulfrik, the World Walkers were all disembarking as well.

Thousands of Chaos Warriors, and Marauders came out the ship all loyal followers of Wulfrik and all eager for more battle.

That's when the tamed beasts and monsters of Wulfrik's forces started to emerge from the ship as well.

(I'm using a bit of logic here, if you can take dragons, mammoths and large armies in both tabletop & the Total War games, one must assume that Wulfrik's ship is massive...or has some Chaos bull that make it able to carry all those numbers, and sized monsters.)

The first monsters to come out were, a couple of manticores.

Manticores being huge, leonine beasts born from the power of Chaos that soars through the air on leathery wings, they are amongst the most powerful of all the monstrous predators that live in the mountain ranges of the north.

The mutating power of Chaos ensures that no two Manticores are truly alike, some having more leonine features, some with horrendous humanoid face, etc...it also depends on the chaotic mutations that a manticore expose to, these manticore are purely unaligned by any sole Chaos God.

Next to emerge were hundreds upon hundreds warhounds, and Norscan frost wolves came out under the command of a werekin aka a Chaos Werewolf, then more of these former human Norscan came out the ship as well.

Then came a some pair of Norscan Mammoths, the goliaths four tusk beasts, stomped their way out the Seafang, with some Norscan Axe-throwers and Archers mounted on the battle huts strapped to these beasts back.

(I know Norsca, doesn't have archers but I decided to add them, cause logically any army should have a real range force...aside from Brettonian Knights...heck even Orcs have archers, so I gave Wulfrik some archers.)

Lastly was emerged, has truly excited the Dark One, and he wasn't alone as his brothers saw a great Chaos Frost Dragon, fly out the ship into the dark, cold sky over Norsca.

The frost light blue, ice dragon flew around, circling the soon to become battlefield between the Dark Legion and the World Walkers, waiting for Wulfrik to command it to attack, hence why it was still just circling the area instead of attacking.

As the Warp Gods witness a dragon for their face time in coming into the Old World, one thing was clear...they wanted dragons under their command...beside Laharl spoke to himself, "Apart from Dinosaurs, who doesn't want a dragon in their command?"

Well it seems that him and his brothers would have to create their own "Dragon Dens" in their respected domains to spawn various Chaos Dragons into their legions.

But that was for later, now Laharl/Ixion must focus on the upcoming battle as Wulfrik and his army still were approaching until they stopped said march some distance away.

The two Chaos Lords, stared at one another with their respected forces all eager to battle and slaughter one another.

Once the World Walkers, stopped under Wulfrik's command he continued to stare at Ixion, and from what the Eternal Wanderer, could see he could tell that this, the Chosen of the Gods was a powerful and worthy opponent to face.

He spoke with the all-tongue thinking the curse would work and trigger Ixion's anger, a normally this would work on any mortal being...but Ixion is a avatar for three all-powerful Warp Gods.

All Wulfrik words were in dark tongue which immediately after speaking a few of them, he started coughing and spit out blood onto the snow this pleased the Dark One, Wulfrik's most trusted rushed to his side to help and check on him only for the Eternal Wanderer to push them away.

Wulfrik as he stood up and wipe away the blood on his mouth, he saw the look of shock and confusion on Wulfrik's face, he made Ixion laugh along with him as he heard Wulfrik yell out in anger, "What the hell, did you do to me? AND WHAT THE HELL, IS SO FUNNY TO YOU!!?"

Laharl/Ixion was controlling his laughing in order to respond to the Wanderer, and it took a few moments to do so.

That's when Ixion/Laharl answered Wulfrik's questions, "Whats funny Wulfrik? Is that we're from another world. We speak tongues that shouldn't and can't be said by meer mortals. Soo your so call all-tongue, is dangerous against us. Now you now how weak you truly are." Wulfrik was infuriated by Ixion's words.

Tightening the grip on his Torgald, he roared like viking of Old Earth, as he charged blindly at him and the Dark Legion which made the World Walkers, charge ahead right behind their Lord, as the Dark One chuckled as he saw that the battle has finally begun, he pointed Ixion's daemonic greatsword forward and quickly ran forward with the entire Dark Legion charging closely behind their Chaos Lord.

At last the battle was about to start, and the Four Gods along with many other Deities were closely watching this new chapter in the Great Game of Chaos.

OW-Khorne was pleased with this new war but just like his hated siblings they were shocked and confused on the daemonic ascension of Kholek, after witnessing what occurred in the Wastes, days ago it was clear their outerworldly "visitor" Laharl Valboga must have done something...this infuriated the Blood God, but at least the upcoming battle of Champions shall prove most enjoyable, as he adjusts himself on his skull littered throne.

OW-Nurgle he was a bit annoyed that the one that fighting was the Champion belonging to this "Dark One" but at least he'll be able to witness the rot, pestilence, and carrion that will not only be wrought by the results of the battle, but also the plague daemons that he still hasn't been able to command, while the Plague God was surprised that some of his children (Nurglings & Plaguebearers) have joined the Dark Legion, he was also happy cause this means that his plan to infect not only the full extent of the Dark Legion but the other Daemonharts, might still be in fruition.

Of them all Tzeentch was the most pleased by these events, unexpected changes, and shadowed manipulations were all pleasing to the God of One-Thousand & One Schemes, plus this battle also provide ample opportunity for him to study and observe these new forms of Magic, that the Dark One has granted Daemonhart...at least that iron maiden daemon, hasn't appeared and caused another migraine to him, he still despised the agony he suffered after every attack but worse all the information and secrets that he is flooded with dissappears immediately after, that...that really angers Tzeentch as he watches this battle very attentively.

Slaanesh she was ecstatic with what was about to happen, she can barely contain herself, this battle shall be great entertainment for the Goddess of Unspeakable Excess, especially since she'll have another chance to corrupt and claim these light brown skinned elves (Frost Eldars) for her own and one of them might be the key for her to cross over to this other world and claim all the new experiences, pleasures, sensations, and soo much more at last...she admits that things have gone a bit stale for her, and Slaanesh need more to sastify her hunger.

And lastly the lesser Chaos Gods, Ultnarth the Great Horned Rat and Hashut the Father of Darkness they have been sensing strange occurrences happening in the north for a while now, while Hashut isn't worried as he sees it as another chance to claim more power for his own, Ultnarth sees it as a unknown threat for some reason.

His very core told the Great Horned Rat, that this Ixion will become a great annoyance...possibly a threat unlike any other that had emerged before and he'll be ready to snuff it out before it can cause any harm to his plans.

But it was not only them, the other Gods across the Old World were reacting to this new evil that has finally made its way south.

Ursun, the Bear God of Kislev, ever since Tzarina Katarin has saved him from the grasp of the Shadow, Be'lakor, he has gone to his domain amongst the mountains of Kislev to regain his strength, but it seem that the evil of Chaos have not yet relented as his former executioner, Yuri Godslayer and another new evil were descending onto Kislev, he must defend it regardless of his state and strength so he started by bringing a blizzard at the edge between Kislev and Norsca, as a final line to aid his followers as their greatest challenge was about to descend upon them.

Sigmar, the God King and the greatest hero of mankind, the first Emperor and greatest enemy to Chaos, was on his ethereal domain he saw that many threat were descending from the Chaos North, from the wicket thirteenth Everchosen, to other forces of Chaos they were coming to the south...could the End Times be upon, Sigmar refuse to submit or allow his people to suffer supplying all the aid he could to his Priests and warriors a grand battle will soon befall the Empire, and he'll stand by them to defend the weak and innocent once again just as he had done all his time.

In Brettonia, the Lady of the Lake aka the Fay Enchantress her handmaidens which were gathered around her sacred lake, as she emerged in her mortal form, they kneeled before her but she didn't have time to accept their reverence, the Lady she needed to gather her greatest champions of all Brettonia for a dire menace is coming...

The Elven Pantheon is the family of gods worshipped by all the kindreds of the Elves, including the High Elves of Ulthuan, the Dark Elves of Naggaroth and the Wood Elves of Athel Loren, such as the Cadai are members of the Elven Pantheon of deities and represent the gods of the heavens.

The Cytharai, also called the "Deeper Gods," represent the Elven gods of the Mirai, the "Black Pit" that is the mythical Elven Underworld.

They embody the darker and more threatening aspects of life, as opposed to the Cadai, the more nurturing and benevolent group of Elven deities, Morai-heg, the goddess of fate and death, is sometimes said to be part of the Cadai, Cytharai or can be aligned with neither, the Dark Elves revel in the worship of the Cytharai.

Despite their rivalries and animosity to each other they knew that once again they were trembling at the newest invasion from the vile forces of Chaos.

Knowing this they were starting to prepare their followers from the High Elves, Dark Elves, and Wood Elves to be ready for war and another chaotic enscourgance onto their lands, soo all their mighty warriors from Tyrion and Teclis of the High Elves, to Malekith, Morathi, and Crone Hellbron of the Druchii, along with Ariel and Orion of the Wood Elves they've all been warned, called, and commanded to be ready for battle.

The Ancestor Gods are the chief deities worshipped by the Dwarfs, the Dwarfs venerate their once-mortal legendary ancestors instead of worshipping otherworldly gods of the Aethyr like Men and Elves.

Dwarfs believe that the spirits of the Ancestors watch over them, guide their actions, judge their achievements and determine if they have led worthy lives.

The Ancestors, have started to contact their dawi kin to prepare for upcoming battle and great dangers, as this could also mean that the traitorous kin of the dawi-zharr might use this opportunity to strike at the dwarven holds, while this evil starts to reign destruction, corruption, and chaos on the lands of the Dwarves.

While in Lustria, the Slann could sense the evil disturbance has started to make its way south, so they started preparing for the upcoming battles, gathering their armies and greatest warriors to face this Chaos Champion.

The Snake God, Sotek was sensing this threat fast approaching and started to prepare for its coming, gathering all the Lizardmen that worship him in his Cult, he contacted his greatest and most devote prophet and champion, Tehenhauin.

The greatest of the Red Crested Skinks, Tehenhauin has a zeal for slaughtering Skaven very rarely seen among the ranks of the dispassionate Lizardmen, as the said Red Crest Skink, was preparing a new sacrifice for the Snake God, he was granted a vision of warning, as Sotek needs him to lead the cult and fight alongside the other lizardmen to destroy this menace.

So Tehenhauin, started to gather his followers and fellow worshippers of the Serpent War God, as the Cult of Sotek shall join forces with their brethren to defend their lands once again.

While Gork and Mork were enjoying all this violence and destruction, this new Chaos Git was proving to be a great challenge and fun for the twinz, so theyz thik that itz was time for a Waaaaggghhh!!!

It was time to send all the boyz to hunt down and krap against thiz new spiky boy, all of them are going Grimgor, Wurrzag the Big Green Prophat, Grom the Paunch, Azhag the Slaughterer, and Gorbad Ironclaw.

Regardless who killz the Chaos Git, it will be a great fight and Waagh for them to see!!!!

Lastly the Dragon Emperor and Empress of Cathay while not actual Gods their power and age makes them as close to Gods, that few beings in the Old World could exclaim to have achieved.

The two sensed that the vile forces of Chaos have made a new move...but what surprises them it wasn't the dreaded Everchosen, Archeon that was leading this new invasion but a new, vile Champion named Ixion Daemonhart, regardless which of those despicable Chaos worshippers are this invasion might still be a threat to Grand Cathay.

Soo the Emperor is calling all his able children, Miao Ying the Storm Dragon, Zhao Ming the Iron Dragon, Yuan Bo the Jade Dragon and more such as Li Dao the Fire Dragon and Yin Yin the Sea Dragon, all to have a war council and discuss what they must do should this threat dares comes to their domain.
