253 War on the Frozen Shores Part 2: The War Intensifies

(General POV)

Location the Norscan Shores, the Lands of the Graelings-Outside the Ruined Port/Battlefield-Dark Legion Vs World Walkers

The battle was fierce, as the Chosen of the Gods, Ixion Daemonhart aka the avatar of the Warp Gods, has just created and unleashed a new fire spell on his Norscan enemies.

This spell was simple dubbed, "Burning Stream" by the Dark One as a common multiversal spell, shouldn't have a grandiose name.

As Laharl/Ixion was ceasing to channel magical power into the spell, it was quickly dying down, as he commanded Ixion to lower his arm all that remain is black, burned remains and melted snow exposing the desolated grounds of the northern lands.

After Laharl finished using the spell through Ixion the sound of scratching ceased as well, meaning that the Blue Scribes, have left or were still waiting unseen for any other surprises that Laharl/Ixion has in stored.

Not really caring since in this moment he and his brothers weren't at war with any tzeentchian followers, the Blue Scribes would most likely be spectators in this battle, so he might put on a show, as he moved Ixion to engage in another fight in the battlefield.

Stomping through the snow, with the cold northern winds blowing through his plume and fur cape, as he saw a great Chaos beast, a Manticore charging towards him...at first, Laharl wanted to kill the monster but decided to beat it into submission, he could use the manticores in their army.

Plus the Dark One has already decided to collect all the monsters of Chaos, making the most vicious into daemons and the rest Chaos Monsters with their own worlds in the Warp, like the Giants and Dragon Ogres before them.

Standing strong and brazing himself for battle, the manticore started to circle him like a lion, before it roared and pounce on him...

While that happened, the Blood-Drinkers along with the khornate daemons, were engaging a group fimirs and more marauders, it was a brutal and bloody clash fit for the honor of the Blood God!!!

Bloodletters alongside the mortal Blood Warriors were hacking, crushing, and utterly destroying their victims in the name of the God of War, while the fimir were torn apart by the fangs and claws of the Flesh Hounds of Khorne.

Not showing mercy or relent on their prey, the Bloodreavers struck alongside the flesh hounds, which some of the blood beasts are were burning some of their prey with their daemonic hellfire breaths.

Blood gushed into the air, and splashed onto the snowy ground, the smell of burning flesh perfumed the area along with the screams of the dying echoing the battleground.

The Blood-Drinkers and the Daemons of Khorne proved their strength, ferocity and brutality towards their prey, during not just that clash but all throughout the battle.

The Dark Legion's axe-throwers, were at first overwhelming the enemy charging forces only for a pack of snow wolves and warhounds to flanked them from the east.

Then their enemy calvary, horse ridding Chaos Khights charged in to finish off this squad of Axe-throwers.

Torn to shreds by beasts, and those that didn't ended beheaded, impaled, or cut down by riders of the World Walkers.

Returning to the two leaders of each Chaos Force....

Wulfrik cut off the legs of a khightmare, causing the lesser daemon of carnage to fall onto the snow unable to defend itself as the Eternal Wanderer, grab his greatsword and hoisted up into the air, pointing straight down at his downed opponent.

With a brutal downward thrust, Wulfrik broke through the dark armor of the lesser daemon, impaling and killing the carnage daemon, banishing it back to the Warp.

As the body banished from around the blade of Wulfrik, so did the dozen other Lesser Daemons that he easily slew...in truth he was disappointed, at first when he stabbed the first of these creatures that challenged him, he was surprised of them being daemons but then the surprise was replaced with expectations of a good challenge...but it then end, they fell like everything else that face him, for he is the greatest warriors ever.

Wulfrik pulled out his sword, the Torgald out the snow and earth, as his previous attack drove the blade into piercing the ground, rising his head to inspect the progress of the battle he saw that his and Ixion forces were causing some casualties against each other...

This excited the Eternal Wanderer, once again as it meant there is going to be worthy trophies and battles for him, starting to make his way through the battlefield in search of a another fight or his main target, the savage northman was smiling, as the battle continued on.

With Laharl/Ixion he was grappling against the lionhead manticore, as it bit onto his right arm and pushed him to the ground, trying and failing to tear off said limb.

So it started to try claw at him, only for the Dark One to easily use Ixion's upgraded strength to lift the monster while it held down onto his arm, and letting go of Wailmaker for a moment so he can grab onto the manticore's horn and get better leverage for what he is about to do to the creature.

Using the avatar's superhuman level of strength he perform a makeshift suplex on the Manticore, lifting over Ixion's head and with all the momentum and force, smash the great Chaos created monster onto it back against the snow.

The impact forced the manticore to release Ixion, as it grumbled and growled out in pain using its wings and barbed tip tail to get itself back on its legs.

Staring down at it prey, once again the manticore started to circle Ixion and the said Chaos Lord, imitated the monster's action not bothering to pick up his morningstar, as Laharl/Ixion wasn't after the monster death, he wanted to submit it and bind it to his sole will...

Once again the massive horned lion manticore using it wings to increase it speed as it pounces unto Ixion again.

Only for Ixion to stand his ground, and charge up one of its skills, charging a light violet energy over the left arm of the avatar, in preparation for a [Chaos Strike].

Drawing back it arm, on Laharl's command he waited for the right moment to strike...as the manticore's claws were stretched out and it mouth wide open to bite and slash at it prey, only when it was inches from it prey, Ixion struck with a powerful, energy coated uppercut to the chin of the Manticore.

The power behind the punch, knocked the winged monster back but in truth the Dark One, held back his power, knowing a full blown [Lv7 Chaos Strike] would kill a manticore with ease.

But to his pleasant surprise the manticore, while clearly riddled and damaged by his punch it was strong and proud, standing back up even if it was clearly struggling to do so.

Even Khorne complimented the beasts strength and tenacity, Laharl agreed fully with his brother.

This made the Dark One crave the beast more, and more than using it as a attack monster but a personal mount and if given the chance he might even make it his own pet like Crystallyl has Frostfang.

Soo with a simple "come on" hand gesture the manticore attacked again...

Meanwhile some distance from shore...

(Tai Tai Shien POV)

Location the Sea of Chaos-On a stolen Norscan Ship

Me and my clutter have gain our own ship to head to the Southlands, after we've escaped the Chaos Dwarves scouting parties and headed for the lands of the Chaos Lord, Ixion Daemonhart.

During that long journey through the Wastes, we found some humans coming ashore answering the call of the soo called greatest favored Champion of the Gods, Archeon using our stealth and abilities we've learned that our chosen lord, that will bring glory and power back to the Shien Clutter, is already invading the south.

So using our hunter skills, and deadly claws we've stealthily killed the humans, taking their ship and sailing to the south to join the Dark Legion, I will confess that my instincts are telling me this will prove to be a great hunt, and opportunity for the catsabers to grow in power, glory, and number.

I started to laugh as I swiftly climb the sail mass, to the crow's nest watching over the ocean eager to meet this favored by the newest Dark God.

(General POV)

Location the Norscan Shores, the Lands of the Graelings-Outside the Ruined Port/Battlefield-Dark Legion Vs World Walkers

Laharl had to strike two more low-powered [Chaos Strikes] at the manticore, now it lay beaten on the snow.

Still trying to fight and intimidate Ixion/Laharl, only impressing the Dark Harbinger more.

A true beast worthy to serve him, not just as a mount but a battle beast within the Nethervoid once they've return to the Warp.

So the Dark One made Ixion walk toward the downed manticore, placing it left gauntlet equipped hand onto the monster, and began to forcibly inject his power of Carnage into the manticore, which shall be named Whiptail, for now on.

As that occurred, in another part of the battle the furies were attacking the archers stationed on the back of the mammoths, as both sides were taking out some numbers.

Either by daemonic claws or shot down by arrows as the battle in the air continued between the arches and furies, the mammoths were rampaging throughout the battlefield.

Their thick hides making the Dark Legion's attack basically useless, their weaponized tusks striking/mowing down those unfortunate enough to have not been able to evade the mammoths attacks.

At that time the Shardspeaker, Arrel-zhan was casting [Soulslice Shards] firing shards at the mammoth, the barrage stabbing into soft spots of the great beast forcing it to back off, and still firing her spell, Arrel-zhan commanded her troops of marauders and chaos knights to attack in hope of taking down one of the more stronger units of their enemies.

While those troops try to combat the mammoths of the World Walkers, the plague daemons were engaged with another werekin, leading a pack of warhounds.

The Plaguebearers attacking the werekin, while the nurglings and infectors both host and non-hosts fought against the mutated canines.

The hounds struck down or harmed by either the nurglings or the infectors immediately got sick and became easier prey for the lesser daemons of decay.

The bodies of the dead warhounds became new hosts increasing the number of infected within the Dark Legion.

And as for the skin-wolf, despite quickly being the faster one in the fight it all equals nothing when your surrounded by plague daemons, shrugging off damage and causing bad nausea.

In the end their plagueswords, killed the werekin the infectious cuts and stabs already becoming badly infected with vile disease, now laying bleeding and dead on the snow, a maggot daemon started crawling towards the corpse.

The nurglings cheering for it, while plaguebearers were getting a bit impatient waiting for it as they had to fight and spread the Grandfather's gifts through the battlefield, but once the bloated white and green tinted maggot burrowed into the corpse of the skin-wolf, it immediately started to infect and take control of the dead body...a huge puss sack burst out the upper back of the host skin-wolf.

Sores, warts, and infected slime dripping wounds with multiple maggots crawling all within the new Infector Host.

Roaring revealing multiple flesh tentacles swaying around the mouth of the new host, all the plague daemons cheered as they gained a powerful and fast addition to the Grandfather's family and legion.

With that done, they slowly made their way to another part of the battle to continue infecting and blessing other souls with the wonderful gifts of Papa Nurgle.

All throughout the battle, their was bloodshed, and death as it was clear things were just getting started in the battle between Wulfrik the Wanderer and Ixion Daemonhart being operated by Laharl.

As other forces were making their way towards the battle both from the Sea and land, as things were about to become much more brutal for both sides.
