20 Chapter 20 - Relax and Danger
I woke up on the chair and stretched my body. I blinked a few times to get my eyes see more clearly. I then saw Rory making something.
"What are you doing Rory?"
I groggily said. I want to sleep more but I need to move. I can hear my stomach complaining.
"Good morning master Ave. I'm actually making a bed for you to sleep in."
Such a thoughtful servant. What did I do to have such a nice servant? Hahahahahahaha!
I can see that Rory only managed to make a wooden bed. It was almost finished and I did not wait too long for it to be done. It was only a wooden bed with no pillows but I'm still thankful for this. I tried laying at the bed and it was awesome. It was a small bed that was meant for the size of a 3 year old baby but it was enough space for my body frame. My tummy then interrupted me from enjoying the bed.
"Rory please cook for these kobold corpses for my breakfast."
"I'll follow your command master Ave."
I brought out 5 kobold swordsman and 2 normal kobolds. Rory went to an open space to cook the meat while I lay at the bed to wait for my food. After a few minutes, one kobold meat was ready for the taking and was then followed by the rest.

I'm level 41 now and that makes my ring of Khione be upgraded and also made my ice magic and ice resistance skill leveled up. I first looked up at my ring to see the upgrades.
Ring of Khione (Level 41):
A ring that was blessed by the god of snow.
+50% INT
+30% WIS
+15% DEX
+15% STR
+15% VIT
Bonus skills:
• Will gain knowledge of any language.
• Can easily learn skills mostly related to ice.
• For every ten levels your Ice related skills will level up by 1.
Level is based on the owner and will upgrade based by the owner's level. Will unlock more skills as the owner's level rises.
Looking at the upgrades of my skill, I was a bit of disappointed to not receive any new skills but I should remember that this ring is already a cheat. I remind myself to be thankful for this godly ring.
I then looked at my MENU to see the changes of my stats but before I do that I checked Rory's stats first and saw this:

Oh this explains why he can use fire magic while moving. After I was done checking Rory's stats, I moved on to mine.

Seeing my insanely attributes makes me happy and having 6 more normal kobold corpses makes me excited cause it can help me level up by a few levels. I still need to save the 6 corpses though for my food tommorow.
I want to make this day as my rest day. I do want power but I also want to relax sometimes. I spend my whole morning laying in bed while Rory practiced his fire magic.
In the afternoon, I joined Rory in his practice. I used my Basic Gauntlet Arts only while Rory serves as my opponent. The practice was fruitful making my Basic Gauntlet Arts leveled up.
I also trained my ice magic and saw that my ice are more flexible now and sturdy. I tried making clothes with it but it was still a bit hard to move in. Maybe in the next level up, I can make my ice act as clothes. Hopefully it does.
The day finished with that simple routine. The morning came and I ate my breakfast which are the 6 kobold corpses.

After I was done eating, I asked Rory which cave is our next target.
"The bear's cave will be our next target master Ave."
"What information do you know about them?"
"The only thing I know is that there are only five bears in the cave but they are all individually strong, master Ave."
Hmmm, so they are strong individually but that makes it more dangerous if they are together in a group if I attack them. I need to attack them one by one.
"Which direction will we go to arrive at there cave?"
I asked Rory as I ready myself. I stored the bed and the chair in my storage space while asking this.
"We need to go further south from here master Ave."
"Alright, you should make yourself prepared, will move out by a few minutes."
I then summoned my shadow clone which I lost before from the kobold berserker. I checked the cave one last time to see if I got everything I needed. After I was done checking, I called Rory and moved out.
We travelled for about an hour this time which is a far distance from the kobold's cave. We arrived at the entrance of the cave and I was surprised to see that they have no guards at the entrance. We then entered inside while staying alert for incoming danger.
Once we were inside the cave, we encountered a bear immediately. It was only alone making me sigh in relief. I appraise it and was surprised to see it's level. Such a high level difference compared to the kobolds.

The bear looks extremely strong. It was over 4 feet tall and has huge shoulders. I looked at Rory and said to him:
"I'll first trap it with my ice magic and you'll attack it with your fire magic with my shadow clones."
"I do as you command master Ave."
"Alright, Attack!"
I then made the legs of the bear be frozen with the use of my ice magic. Rory then bombarded it with fire magic while my shadow clones hit it with ice daggers. I only focused on trapping the bear making the bear unable to move and was killed eventually by that tactic.

I then stored the body of the bear inside my storage space. We then continued venturing the cave after that. We then heared some footsteps at our back which made me alert instantly.
At our back stands another bear on it's two feet. It shouted a huge roar and immediately run towards us. I used my ice magic to make a floor of ice which resulted to the bear stumbling at the floor. I then used that opportunity to trap it with ice while Rory and my clones attacked it. With the combined attacks it instantly died.

We then heard more footsteps at the deep part of the cave and what we saw made me watch in horror. I can see two more bears coming towards us. I then used the same tactic making the floor be covered with ice. They both stumbled which made them angry towards me. They came running to me immediately but I frozen there feet to disable them. One was caught by the ice but the other one made it through me. It slashed it's claw towards me. Startled by the attack, I didn't have time using my gauntlets to defend. I was thrown into the wall with a cut mark on my chest part. It fucking hurts! This is my first time being hurt in this world!
I was so enraged by the pain that I instantly created many ice spears and only focused my attacks on bear who attacked me. It instantly died with that attack but the other bear managed to escape the ice and run towards me which I also killed before it can come close to me by using ice spears.

Rory came running towards me with a worried face after the bears died.
"Are you okay master Ave!?"
"I'm fine, it only hurts a little."
I then summoned some poison to put in the wound which healed it by a little. Rory was startled at first for seeing me put poison in my wound but when he sees that it actually healed me, he had an amazed face looking at me. Thank God I have poison body. I wish I have a regeneration skill though. I continued putting poison at my wound until it completely heals.
I then stood up and stored the 2 bear corpses inside my storage space and we went deeper into the cave and I saw a huge bear that made me started. It was two times bigger than the other bears and what is more scary is it's level. It was high!
