The battle of The Trident was over, and we were on our way to Kingslanding. To attack the capital with Ned Stark and Jon Arryn. Since Hoster stayed in his lands, and Robert was badly wounded, so he could not come with us.

Of my 20,000 mercenaries, only 4,000 were left alive. It is possible that the wounded were not treated in time in a very unfortunate way.

On the side of my 10,000 personal soldiers. I had lost only a few hundred. But there were 4,000 wounded who were not available for combat. So, in addition to the wounded, 7,000 soldiers were left to rest at Harrenhal with other soldiers. The other 3,000 marched with me and my mercenaries to Kingslanding, as I said.

I knew there would be no fighting, as Tywin Lannister, with the help of Maester Pycelle, was planning to sneak into Red Keep to wipe out all the Targaryen blood. Although there is a variable... That is Jaime Lannister.

As I understand it, Jaime Lannister joined Kingsguard at Cersei's request. So that the two could be together when she was at her father's side in Kingslanding due to her being Hand of the King. But when King Aerys made Jaime his Kingsguard, Tywin, losing his heir, stepped down.

I had asked Cersei to do that and manipulate Jaime to achieve that effect. Obviously without the use of her beautiful body. Just basic seduction. See but don't touch. And it had all worked. But Jaime, when Cersei left, felt betrayed by what the young lioness' letters said. I don't know if he killed the king as he did in the original story. This could be the end of Kingslanding.

I was thinking in the same way to marry Cersei to Robert. But I wouldn't let such a fat creep touch her. So I would give her illusory drugs every time Robert wanted to have sex. With him the walrus would fuck alone while Cersei stays pure and keeps my children in her womb. I know she is obsessed with me and loyal to me.But knowing her character, I doubt I am above her future children. But once the truth of her children is known, and a new war begins. She will lose her usefulness. Because of course, she's beautiful, otherwise I wouldn't give her those drugs for Robert. I want her to be mine alone. But she is not at Ashara's level either.

I wouldn't follow Ned, that's what we had agreed. And I wasn't really interested in going to Kingslanding either. I had somewhere else to go that was much more important.

It wasn't Dragonstone, as I didn't want to face the royal fleet. Although Robert would most likely just give me Dragonstone instead of helping me capture it. Or maybe he does it out of fear that I won't kill the Targaryens? That would be nice. But the thing is, I was thinking of waiting for that storm that's going to destroy the fleet to pass. And then take the resources and survivors as mine. But now I had another destination... Tower of Joy, on the border of Dorne and Stormlands. Near the Blackhave of House Dondarrion.

Our Lord had given us the mission to "rescue" the girl named Elia Martell along with her daughter Rhaenys.

Lord Percival is not a good person, that much is clear to me. But I don't really care either. Before I met him I was a simple mercenary, and nowadays I live in a much more comfortable and better way. I have only gratitude and loyalty to him. So I will do his will to the best of my ability.

"Is this the way?" I asked Syrio Forel hesitantly. Milord had instructed us to infiltrate Red Keep through specific passages. It was a rather complex structure that Maegor the Cruel had designed.

"I can't be entirely sure, but I should be," he replied, and a door in the smoky, dark corridor opened. Revealing that we had reached Maegors Holdfast, a square fortress within the Red Keep itself. But it was not just any part, as it was specifically one of the towers. The tower where Elia herself and her daughter were located.

It had been difficult to find the way. Our Lord gave us instructions but he wasn't sure about everything, so we had to make some little birds from Mina Tyrell sing. But the important thing is that we are here.

- Elia Martell POV -

Rhaegar was fighting a war for a woman who wasn't even his wife. Not that I blame him either, really.... We only had sex once. Which led to the birth of Rhaenys. But there was nothing else between us so we had nothing more than that.... Although if this hadn't happened, I would have to give her another child... A male to inherit the throne. But with her death that won't be necessary.

Am I sad? Not for me. But for my daughter. I cannot deny that although he was a selfish fool to do what he did, he showed Rhaenys affection. Still, that doesn't take away from the fact that he abandoned us and didn't protect us from hir father. I only hope that my brother Doran can come and rescue at least my daughter.

I am not the purest person in the world either.I lost my virginity before the royal marriage, something that, although Rhaegar never proved, he somehow suspected. That further deteriorated our marriage.

The King had sent his pregnant wife, Rhaella, along with their son Viserys to Dragonstone hand in hand with the royal fleet. It is clear to him that the ship is going to sink. The problem is that he left us here to go down with him. Why, that mad bastard! Maybe I don't make the best decisions in my life. And before this approach, a name comes to my mind.

Percival Bolton... I know it was just a fling, but what if I had married him instead of Rhaegar? I know he controls the entire west coast of Essos, of the Free Cities, so his position is almost comparable to royalty.

I heard a lot of bad rumors about him, but I guess he's one of those guys who cherishes his family and will do anything to protect them. Even with cruel and evil methods. Men like that are the best anyone could ask for. Would it be too much to ask him to come to my rescue? As the REAL prince who saves the princess?

Ramblings of mine...

But the next moment, I saw figures enter my room from a wall that opened....A secret passage!

"Who are they!" I shouted as I shielded my daughter.

The Lannisters had already arrived in Kingslanding and were about to enter the city. I had a bad feeling about them.

"Princess Elia Martell," said the blond man in front of me. "We are sent by Lord Percival to escort you to Braavos" he said to me, and my eyes widened as my hands covered my mouth which formed a smile of excitement and happiness. He didn't abandon me after all!
